10 Chapter 10 - WHAT IF HE WANTS TO GET BACK?

It has become a habit for Becca on her days off to use it as a time for exercise. Usually, she and Tommy use their day off to do the gym in a gym that includes apartment facilities.

This time Becca went and did it herself. She left Tommy who was still sleeping because he was drunk last night and also because of her. Seeing how frustrated Tommy was, made Becca self-satisfied. Her efforts had been quite successful. Even though the confession came out when her ex-boyfriend was drunk, it didn't matter to her. Honesty can come from anywhere.

"Good morning, Becca! Where's Tommy?" said Feny, the staff gym keeper.

"Good morning, Feny. He's still sleeping because he was drunk last night," Becca replied. She gave her membership card to Feny to be recorded and scanned on a scanning machine.

"Alright. Have fun and enjoy your day, Becca!" said Feny cheerfully.

"You too!"

Becca immediately warmed up in front of the large mirror that became the wall in the gym room. She looked at herself and every now and then she noticed the changes in her physique. She had to admit, she had had enough and more than Paige. She just had to make herself as sexy as possible in Tommy's eyes so that her transformation would be perfect.

She then put her headset on and started on the treadmill facing the window, where she could see the view of New York City.

While she enjoyed the gym, her heart often beat fast as the songs playing on her headset were reminiscent of her relationship with Tommy before they broke up.

Her face stiffened as she was reminded of the indecent affair. She even gripped the handle on the treadmill tightly. The details of her ex-boyfriend's affair with her best friend really made her think back. She even unknowingly accelerated the setting on the treadmill so that she became running on it quickly.

She was sweating profusely. Her breath hitched and her gaze was straight ahead. Then suddenly Tommy came and turned off the treadmill and Becca immediately looked at him still breathing heavily.

"Well, what are you doing running around like that, huh? Don't you remember that you-"

Becca immediately fell into Tommy's arms. She had difficulty breathing which meant her asthma had started to recur because of her own actions. Tommy, who was always alert to bring an inhaler for Becca, immediately thrust it into her mouth and squirted it several times until Becca began to look stable.

For a moment, he still hugged Becca. Letting his ex-girlfriend really start to breathe stable.

And when Becca realized she was in Tommy's touch, she started to let go.

"No thank you, hu?" asked Tommy.

"Thank you," Becca said simply.

"You have to remember that you have asthma, Rebecca! You went to the gym without waking me up. What if I'm just a minute late, huh? You'll be dying!" Tommy blurted out showing his concern.

Becca took a deep breath. This time she knew that she was wrong for getting herself into her health problems. But she did it all without realizing it.

"But you finally made it in time," Becca replied.

"Stop with the treadmill. Do something else," said Tommy, turning around because he was annoyed at how stubborn Becca was and how cold she was to him.

Becca looked at Tommy as he headed for the lat pulldown machine. She was grateful that Tommy had swiftly saved her life. Not just once, but several times each time her asthma flared up.

Becca didn't even think that Tommy was still always ready with the inhaler he always carried with him. Little things like that really showed the romantic side and how much Tommy cared for her.

Feeling like being watched by Becca, Tommy looked back at her until Becca finally realized and averted her gaze.

"Becca, what happened to you and Tommy? You two seem different," asked Feny who approached her to want to know how she was with Tommy.

Of course, Feny felt strange because usually, Becca and Tommy always went to the gym together and accompanied each other. But this time, in Becca's first week after breaking up with Tommy, the gym keeper noticed the difference.

"We broke up," answered Becca while doing squats on the squat rack.

Feny's lips opened in surprise. "What? Broke up? How? And you two still living together?"

"Yep!" Becca answered briefly again. She was still concentrating on her tool.

Meanwhile, Feny was still silent because of her surprise. She also occasionally looked at Tommy who seemed curious about what had happened to Feny so that she was surprised.

"How can you two still live together when you've broken up, Becca?" asked Feny curiously.

"We just can. Besides, I want to prove something to him."

"Prove what?"

Becca looked at Feny. She told a little about the reason they broke up and Feny showed her annoyance when she heard about the cause. It was clear she knew who Paige was because Paige used to do the gym there a few times too.

"Becca, I'm telling you this, I don't mean I'm on your side. But, you even look perfect in my eyes compared to her. What made Tommy turn to her huh? I really didn't expect it!"

Hearing Feny so upset about the reason she was breaking up with Tommy, made Becca smile. She didn't know if it was true that she had been seen above Paige or not, but clearly, her confidence had really grown to continue to pursue that perfection.

"I don't want to talk about it. I want to focus on my goals," Becca said softly.

"You really have a good heart, Becca. But I want to know, what if he ends up really regretting it and wants to get back with you?" Fenny asked.

For the first time, this was the first time she had heard such a question. She hadn't thought of the right answer. She didn't know what steps to take. But her goal was to make him regret and make him beg for love from her. The answer was obvious... It should be.

"I'll accept him back with one thing that he can't do again. But I don't know yet what kind of strong conditions I have to apply to him. I haven't thought too much about it, Fen."
