The Kururugi household is on the side of a big hill and there is no road to directly come to the place.

People had to climb stone stairs to go up.

The place even looks like a shrine because of the torii at the top end of the stairs.

Marianne and CC are quite fit so they managed to get into the place effortlessly.

They left the car in a parking lot below the hill.

After going up, they are met with a servant of the Kururugi house.

"Ma'am, we are already informed of your arrival, please come with me." The servant said in a calm and unhurried tone with a welcoming smile on her face, she is wearing a plain yukata which seems to be the uniform of the servants in the house.

The Kururugi house is very traditional after all, and very strict too.

"Is the Patriarch going to meet us?" Marianne asked curiously as they seem not to be going to the meeting hall for guests of the Kururugi Patriarch.

People would be able to see which place is very important looking just based on the size and height of the buildings, this is mostly true for ancient Asian buildings.

Except of course if it is deliberately hidden or made ordinary, like some kind of hidden storehouse for treasure or something.

"No, Ma'am. The Patriarch is busy and had no time to meet you two, I'm very sorry about that." The servant said after stopping for a moment and bowing to Marianne and CC.

"It's fine, it's fine." Marianne said leisurely while waving her hand in a gesture with a relaxed smile on her face.

CC did not say anything and just smiled.

'Everything has almost changed but some people's attitudes and traditions just won't.' She thought as she remembered her memories of japan from a long time ago.

She had already traveled most of the world, it's not surprising for her to have come to Japan some time ago.

And yeah, all this time, the servant was speaking in English.

"Thank you for your understanding." The servant said and bowed again before continuing to walk towards their destination, where Lelouch is currently.

They got into a relatively small courtyard in comparison with almost everything else in this compound-like place of the Kururugi household.

There is no fence or a gate, there is only an open area surrounding it.

It looks like a big square Japanese-style house made of wood and roof tiles.

As they neared the house, they immediately saw two kids who are playing some kind of Japanese board game inside because the house is open with its doors being, the traditional sliding Japanese doors.

One of the kids does not look Japanese even with his light black hair and brown eyes.

This kid is the one that Marianne and CC came here for, Lelouch.

Lelouch's eyes in the OG were said to be violet based on fandom especially when he got geass on both eyes but it's different here as he is now a semi-coordinator.

His genes and growth when he was a fetus had been induced to grow into his best self so he is now also not weak, physically even if he still hate doing things that need physical effort.

The other kid is a girl of about the same age as Lelouch based on her stature and size.

Lelouch is currently wearing western-style clothing while the other kid is wearing a traditional Japanese-style martial arts Gi, which is just slightly different from a hakama in looks, everyone should be familiar with Japanese sword practitioners from anime, that's the one.

The two kids finally noticed them when they got nearer.

Lelouch was first surprised and then he jumped happily from his seating position before running towards Marianne and then hugging her.

The other kid was surprised by the sudden movement of her friend and even more when she saw that Lelouch hugged Marianne suddenly.

"Mom!" Lelouch shouted after hugging his mother tightly for a few moments.

"That's right, I'm here.

How are you, my little boy?" Marianne said with a warm smile and slightly teary eyes.

"I missed you so much!" Lelouch said loudly as he started crying and sobbing a bit as he buried his face into Marianne while hugging her and not letting go.

"Hmmm... I miss you too." Marianne said warmly as she hug him back.

It took a minute or two before Lelouch finally calmed down and he finally realized that he cried and hugged his mother in front of his female friend.

His face suddenly got red all over as he was very embarrassed from the show that he did.

"Ooohhh...

What do we have here?

Is my baby boy finally liking someone of the opposite gender?" Marianne teased suddenly as she saw how red Lelouch had suddenly become.

"No! I-I! I just had a hard time breathing when you hugged me!" Lelouch said as an excuse. Very smart, I say.

But the ones who want to tease will have many ways to do so.

"Are you saying I am fat?" Marianne said in a flat voice to fake being angry.

"No! Don't tease me anymore, mom!" Lelouch finally realized that he was being teased after he heard that as he made sure to think of something that will not mean anything offending before speaking.

"Hehehe..." Marianne laughed with a giggle together with CC and the little girl by the side when they saw his reaction. "Who is this little lady, by the way?"

"I am Suzaku Kururugi, Auntie.

Nice to meet you." The little girl said as she bowed for a traditional Japanese greeting and introduction.

And yeah, she spoke English too.

"Ooohh... Your English is quite good." CC commented on the side.

"Lelouch taught me when we became friends.

It was because he was having a real hard time learning Japanese even when he said that he is the smartest.

Hehehe..." Suzaku said in a way that will tease Lelouch a bit.

"Hmph! It's only because I don't bother learning to speak Nihongo for real yet.

If I wanted to, I could learn it in just a few days, believe it!" Lelouch said in a very out-of-character way as he was too excited with his mom being by his side right now.
