The next day i got a call from dad.

"Hey Dylan you doing ok ?" Johnny asked.

"Good and you ?" I replied.

"Fine, do you want to learn karate ?" He asked.

"Yeah why not ?" I responded.

Then he told me to meet him at the mini mart from two days ago in 20 minutes and hung up.

I dressed in a black tank top and green cargo pants before going to the mini mart.

I parked my car and got out of it and saw my dad and Miguel.

"Nice place." I said sarcasticly.

"It's gonna need some work." Johnny replied.

"Some work? More like a complete redo!" Miguel said.

We stepped inside and the place is covered with dust, hanging cables and holes in the ground.

"Alright. Let's get started." Johnny said while me and Miguel sighed.

Some days later.

I did most of the work since i have super strength while Miguel mostly cleaned and Johnny watched while drinking.

Miguel and i where standing in front of Johnny when Miguel asked "So ? Are we gonna have a karate pajama too ?...." But was intterupted by Johnny "Quiet !" Startling him.

"Students only speak when asked to, is that understood ?" Johnny asked Miguel.

Miguel nodded and replied "yes."

Seeing Johnny confused he said "Huh, yes sir ?"

"You will always address me as Sensei, is that understood ?" Johnny explained.

"Huh, yes sensei !" Miguel said.

"And these aren't pajamas. This is a Gi and you'll get one when you've earned it." Johnny said.

"Alright, are you ready to begin your training ?" Johnny asked us.

"Yes sensei !" Me and Miguel both replied.

Then Johnny ckoncked Miguel down while giving me a kick that i blocked with my arms.

Miguel groaned on the ground and Johnny looked at me with a little smile before saying "Lesson one, strike first. Never wait for the ennemy to attack !"

"You could have gave me like a warning...." But was intterupted by a "Quiet !" From Johnny.

"We don't train to be merciful here. Mercy is for the weak...." Johnny started a speech while walking around us while Miguel took his inhaler and used it.

"Here on the street, in competition, a man confront you, he is the ennemy. An ennemy deserve no mercy." Johnny continued his speech and saw Miguel using his inhaler and stopped to ask "What is the problem, Mr. Diaz ?"

"There's no problem, sensei. You punched me, and i have asthma, so..." But was intterupted when Johnny took his inhaler and throw in against the wall and said "Not anymore ! We do not allow weakness in this dojo. So you can leave your asthma and all the made-up bullshit outside of the Dojo, is that understood ?"

"Yes, but those are real medical problems. I was...." Miguel started explaining but Johnny looked at him so he sighed and said "Yes, sensei, understood."

"Cobra kai isn't just about karate. It's about a way of life..." Johnny explained before showing us the writing at the end of the dojo.

(Strike first, Strike hard, No mercy.)

"...Take that first lesson. Let's say you're at a party and you see a hot babe. You're not just going to let another guy make a move to her first, do you ?"

"I mean, i've never been to a party, so...." Miguel said.

"I can always get a better looking one anyway." I said without caring.

Johnny sighed and said "All right, look striking first is about being aggressive, all right ? If you're not aggressive, then you're being a pussy, and you don't want to be a pussy, you want to have balls."

"Don't you think you're genderizing a little ?" Miguel asked.

Johnny looked and i at Miguel and Johnny asked "What ?"

Miguel though for a second and said "Oh, huh don't you think you're genderizing a little, sensei ?"

Johnny looked deadpanned at him and said "No, what the hell are you talking about ?"

"My guidance counsellor said that certain words perpetuate the sexist world view that...." Miguel started explaining before being intterupted by a "Quiet !" From Johnny.

As i was laughing Johnny told Miguel "From now on you won't listen to your guidance conselor. You're gonna listen to me. Is that understood ?"

"Uh, yes sensei." Miguel said.

"Good now you two give me 50 push-ups on your knuckles."

Miguel and i put ourself in position and i did the 50 push-ups without difficulty while Miguel couldn't even do one.

"Alright, just do some crunches. Don't you have gym classes or something ?" Johnny said as he saw Miguel struggling with his head being all red and out of breath.

Suddenly the door opened and a fat man with a suit came in and talked with Johnny about the Dojo.

"You can't even do a push-up?" I looked at Miguel who smiled nervously.

The suited man looked at us and said "Hey you two. Are you customers here?"

"No, just helping my father ! And he is a illegal we picked up this morning." I told him while pointing to Miguel who gave me the middle finger and i continued with my push-ups.

"Wait, so i have to do all that crap before i even open" Johnny said while looking at a paper the fat guy gave him.

"No, you need to do all that to get the certificate that's required to get the insurance for you to open." The fat man explained then said "But you knew that when you signed your lease, right ?"

Before going out the fat man looked at the logo in front of the door and said "Huh, cool rattlesnake."

"It's a cobra." Johnny corrected.

"Oh, right, duh. I'm such an idiot. Cobra K." Before going out.

Johnny sighed and shook his head before saying "You two. Start fixing this place up. I'm going to buy materials."

[That's the end of this chapter. I try to make chapters with at least 1000 words so i can do them faster but it can be longer sometimes when needed.
