Chapter 58: Kakashi’s back stab! The White Fang incident, a naked conspiracy

Yesterday, before Danzo's execution he had read many things in Danzo's memory. With all of this information he had just prepared to take it all out today!

"Hatake Sakumo, also known as Konoha's White Fang, died by suicide because of the depression caused by the mission failure and constant vilification."

"This matter is clearly a conspiracy planned by you!"

"Sarutobi Hiruzen, Shimura Danzō, Mitokado Homura, Utatane Koharu, all of you are involved in this!" Nàiluò said coldly and unceremoniously.He had seen the whole story from Danzo's memory yesterday. The White Fang incident was a complete trap!

"Nonsense!" Hiruzen immediately denied.

Nàiluò chuckled without caring, and continued: "Let me explain to everyone what happened in the first place.,

In Konoha's 41st year, Hatake Sakumo, who had also served as Commander of the Anbu, received an important task. Sarutobi Hiruzen, who was in power for the first time, asked him to lead the team himself.

As for the content of the task, it was for them to go to a certain location in the Land of Wind, to meet a person, and get something from them. The mission was issued by Sarutobi Hiruzen himself, but he didn't say what the package was.

However, Sakumo did not ask much at that time. He was just responsible for bringing the item back. As for what it was, it might have involved secrets concerning the village, so Hiruzen didn't tell him.

After Hatake Sakumo set off, Sarutobi Hiruzen secretly notified a spy that Konoha had arranged within the Sand Shinobi, and asked that spy to disclose Sakumo's information to Sunagakure:

Konoha's White Fang was coming to the Land of Wind to perform a mission! He had even asked the spy to disclose Hatake Sakumo's location of where he was going!

So, the following things can be imagined:

During his earlier career, Sakumo confronted and killed Sasori's parents, earning Chiyo's hatred. Hatake Sakumo, who had earned his fame during the Second Ninja War, frightened Sunagakure because the leader and deputy captain of the Sand Shinobi puppet army died by his hands.

Therefore, Sunagakure, who learned of this news, was directly led by the Third Kazekage, who was still alive at the time, to encircle Hatake Sakumo!

However, Konoha's White Fang was Konoha's White Fang after all. Sakumo discovered the anomaly before being surrounded, and rushed out of the circle before being completely surrounded!

He even rescued his companions who were caught by the Sand Shinobi because of their lack of strength. After that, it was discovered that the Third Kazekage was personally leading the team, and Hatake Sakumo retreated decisively.

"I have proof!" Kakashi's mouth and nose, which were hidden under his mask, gasped quickly, repeated it once again, and took out a document whilst doing so. "This is what I have found these past few days!"

"In the 41st year of Konoha, a report from the village of a spy arranged within the Sand Shinobi!"

"The date of returning to the village recorded in this report is September of Konoha's 41st year!"

He has been investigating the affairs of his father in the past few days. This is what he had found using the authority from his position as an Anbu squad leader. At first he was not sure if this had anything to do with his father's affairs.

But after listening to Nàiluò finishing what happened, he fully understood it! After the spy had leaked the news to Sunagakure, he was worried that his identity as a spy would be exposed, so he withdrew.

Thinking of this, Kakashi said with a trembling voice, suppressing his excitement: "I still remember that my father went out on a mission in September of Konoha's 41st year."

"I still remember that my father said that he will complete the task and come back as soon as possible, and will not miss my birthday."

His birthday is September 15th and He was only 7 years old that year!

"But, but" Kakashi panted heavily, and his  leaking right eye turned red, like that of a Sharingan. "After my father came back, the village began to spread rumors that he had given up the mission and said he was not worthy to be a ninja."

"The teammates my father had rescued from the Sand Shinobi also ran to my house and said that my father was a waste! He also questioned why my father wanted to save him and why he gave up the mission."

"After that, before I waited until my birthday, one morning, I found out that my father had committed suicide."

He still remembers the scene very clearly now! When he saw his father lying in a pool of blood, the reality of the situation had not sunk in yet. His father was dead! His father during  the night, alone, silently committed suicide!

"Why would my father die!"

"Why would my father die for such a meaningless thing!"

"Answer me! Sarutobi Hiruzen!" Kakashi roared in a cathartic tone as if all the repressed emotions and pain all these years came gushing out. Because of such a rumor he had died, what was it? Joker? His father died like a fooled clown!

"Kakashi, you!" Hiruzen looked at Kakashi in disbelief. He had hinted at Kakashi that he intended to promote him to Commander of the Anbu! He had even refused the request of his son, Asuma! Why did Kakashi, who is clearly valued by him, betray him now!

"Lord Hokage, I also hope to know what happened back then as well." An older Anbu hesitated for a while and also spoke.

Long before Sarutobi Shinnosuke became Commander of the Anbu, Hatake Sakumo had served as Commander for a long time. This older Anbu still remembers his experience under Konoha's White Fang! He was Strong and valued his companions!

No matter how dangerous the mission, as long as Konoha's White Fang was there, everyone felt at ease! The major patriarchs also spoke: "We also hope to seek justice for Senior White Fang."

"I hope you can announce what task Senior White Fang had taken, and what he had to bring back!"

The Hokage is responsible for the issuing of missions to Anbu. And Hatake Sakumo's mission was completely unclear. All that is known is that the failure of the mission caused a "significant loss" to the village! There was no explanation about the specific losses!

That was Konoha's 41st year! The Second World War was over long ago! The Third World War has not yet begun! At that time, what mission failure would cause major losses to the village?!
