Scene of Carnage

It's Day 2 of Spear Bearer training now and we have moved on to target practice. I have to say that Gamer's Body is really a cheat, I mean just because I reached Level 100 in Spearmanship I can now throw Spears accurately. As long as I designate the target and I have sufficient strength for the distance, I feel like I will never miss. It feels like aim bot honestly, but it's not like I am complaining after all Gamer's Body is the main reason I am so skillful with the spear.

Apart from me only Shishou and that Khun Marco Polo guy have hit all the targets. I suppose he is a decent Spear Bearer but not enough for my team. In the midst of this target practice, Marco Polo comes here to recruit me again, I think.

"Hey man! How you doing?" He asks me.

"I am fine. What about you?" I ask in return after replying to his query.

"I am good too but something would make me feel even better, do you know what that something is?"

"I am not interested." I reply immediately.

"You're no fun, but why? You can see that I am good with Spear too right, I won't hold you or your team back if that's what you are thinking." My lips twitch at his reasoning. He is an ant, in the larger scheme of things and it wouldn't do to involve him in such things. Let's see how powerful he is now.

"It's not you but when I asked the other team members about it they refused adding any more members." When in doubt, activate bullsh*t-no-jutsu.

"Well I tried." He sighs and then goes back to target practice. This training arena is huge so we don't interrupt each other's practice even if there are some mistakes in aiming.

I am just looking around now because I realized there is no point in practicing this anymore. Suddenly I notice a target hanging in the distance around 1 km from here. Let's test it if my aim bot works here too. I take a practice Spear from the rack, and then throw it after aiming at that target. The Spear travels the distance under a second leaving some shockwaves around it but there are no sonic booms, then I realize it's because of the medium. After all even the air is very different here, made up of Shinsu so of course there won't be a sonic boom formed that easily. The target was hit already but I was just lost in my thoughts about what type of physical laws this world follows.

My thoughts were interrupted by a happy(?) voice, when I look towards the source I find our tan skinned instructor who is named Damara. He notices I didn't hear him from before so he repeats.

"That target was there for the Special Position Test, I was going to introduce you guys to it tomorrow. But since Mr Amar has already hit it from here, he passes the Special Position Test and doesn't need to come to classes if he doesn't want to. The destroyed target has now been replaced, you can now try to destroyed it to from this distance if you do you will pass the test as well. You guys have till Day 20 of the Position training." He walks and sits at his original position. "Mr Amar you can leave now if you want to, I will inform Test Supervisor about you passing the test."

[An Optional Objective is now complete]

Oh must be the one related to Special Position Test. I then nod towards the instructor cum examiner and turn around to wal-

"Disciple wait!" Shishou stops me and then turns around throw the spear at the distant target. "Now let's go."

I just nod and am about to go with her.

"Wait young lad-, no matter you can go as well." Damara just makes an awkward face because Shishou has hit the target.

We just go outside together towards my room. And when I enter the room, atmosphere suddenly becomes colder. Hmm how am I feeling cold? Wait a minute? Something isn't right?

And then it clicked in my head, and I looked towards Shishou and Freya's line of sight. I feel as if there could be sparks between them any minute now.

Is this the legendary scene of carnage? Can I run away now?

Come on Amar be the gigachad fanfic protagonist you are meant to be, don't back down now. I then cough a little to disrupt the atmosphere and then say, "My you are looking beautiful as ever Freya, is there something you want to ask Shishou? You keep staring at her like she owes you an explanation."

Amar used the tactic 'being oblivious'.

"No I don't have anything to ask, but I want to ask you what you were thinking by inviting your beautiful teacher inside your room." She looks at me with blaming eyes.

Amar's tactic backfires.

Freya counterattacks Amar, it's super effective. Damn she is making me feel guilty, even though I have no reason to.

"Well I had no thoughts in this matter, we just passed the Special Position Test and we're coming here to discuss about my training." I just tell Freya honestly to which Shishou just nods.

Amar used honesty it was effective.

"Yes that explains why I am here, what's your excuse for being here?" Shishou suddenly escalates the already defused situation.

"Heh heh, obviously I am here because I am Amar's wife so of course I will be here." Freya replies with a victorious smile.

Shishou just has an expressionless face on the surface and then says with a weird smile, "Is that so?"

Freya's brow twitch before frowning because of the weird reaction from Shishou. "What do you mean?" She asks.

"Nothing" says Shishou with that weird smile that feels sinister.

I just go sit in the corner and let them deal with their situation among themselves. Me interrupting them would be foolish so I just sit down and train Shinsu Heart technique.

Do that in my other fanfic when he moves on from the Mysteries world.
