Call of Fate

My head hurts.

It hurts both physically and emotionally. It really feels like I am waking up to the one of the worst hangovers in my life.

Now after waking up and calming down, my head hurts really bad. I realized the stupidity of my actions yesterday.

'System what happened? Can you explain.' I say inwardly while getting up and seeing a heavenly view that would be quite good in normal circumstances but right now I am not in the mood for this.

'What happened yesterday when my personality almost changed completely?' I explain.

*When host was facing emotional turmoil yesterday which somehow resulted in self loathing. Wrath attribute Synchronization increased because host's soul was already a bit unstable from before when the host absorbed that divine spear. Gamer's Mind wasn't able to stabilize it because of the level of power it possessed surpassed its capabilities. When the Synchronization hit 50%, host completed a major breakthrough in the system which gave host a one-time chance to comprehend a law partially since that is the way existences ascend to higher levels. Since the host was in a unique mindset at the time, host started comprehending the Law of Yandere as host likes to call it. And because of instability in host's mind, host got drunk on the Power of Law and his personality got temporarily affected completely. Host will still have a personality change but it will be much milder since host has only comprehended 2.38% of the Law.*

'System are you kidding me?!'

*Negative. The System is not kidding.*

'You mean to say that I wasted my one time chance of Law comprehension on something useless and potentially detrimental as Yandere laws. What the hell?! What kind of half-assed yandere has multiple lovers? I thought the whole point was to be loyal to only your lover, whatever I haven't comprehended the law so I guess I can't say. Though it would have been better if I comprehended the Law of Shamelessness. I could have even reached the realm of Grandmasters in Spearmanship since you need Spear Laws to reach that realm, such a waste.'

*Affirmative. The System is glad that the host understands.*

My lips twitch at the System's answer. Was that sarcasm or something? The timing was too good. Though I don't think it's sentient but who knows.

Anyway yesterday was a disaster, I am so stupid. I can see it clearly now. I was worrying needlessly even before my confession and I jumped the gun.

Honestly even if I talked to Freya about this, didn't mean that I had to confess now. I was thinking like a mortal human which I am not. I will live for a very long time, probably eternity so I had all the time in the world for this and I foolishly jumped the gun. Stupid me. Yandere me is stupid too, I don't like his mentality either. The only thing I agree with is my possessiveness which has become natural but I guess that's fine, because I was plenty possessive before this too.

And the result of jumping the gun was whatever "relationship" we have here. I feel ashamed but there's no crying over spilt milk, we make mistakes so I suppose we can only make amends for it. But this time with a presence of mind.

[Due to some conditions being fulfilled by members Amar and Scathach, a hidden quest for them is being given. It is optional to participate. But both the participants have to participate to start the Quest]

[Hidden Quest Description:

In a land far far away, in a world of Magic and Magecraft. There is a city named Fuyuki. Approximately 2 centuries before the current events, 3 Family Heads which were called "Three Founding Families" under the tutelage of their master Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg designed a ritual to reach the Root by creating a Grail system through which they wanted to recreate the Third Magic Heaven's Feel.

But since only one of them could benefit from the "Holy Grail" which can be called an omnipotent wish granting device, they started fighting each other for the right to have it. This was the beginning of the Fuyuki Holy Grail Wars.

The Holy Grail Wars occur in a 60 year cycle because the leylines are exhausted after each war. Currently Fourth Fuyuki Grail War is about to start in a few days.

Members Amar and Scathach will enter the war as the Eighth Master and Servant. And their objective will be to win the Holy Grail War by touching it when it's materialized.

The time in other worlds will be stopped for the duration of this quest including the chat group members' worlds.

Time left till the quest starts is 01:59:03. If the members don't reject the quest during this time, it will be accepted automatically.

Main Objectives:

1) Win the Holy Grail War by touching the materialized Holy Grail.

Bonus Objectives:

1) Get a Servant to betray their Master and join your side.

Rewards for Amar: Third Magic Heaven's Feel

Rewards for Scathach: Marble Phantasm (Multidimensional version) and freedom from Land of Shadows

Bonus Rewards: The Servant will join the 2 members in their adventure in the Tower or other worlds and will be removed from the Throne of Heroes permanently. The Servant can also have the chance to join the chat group if both of the members consent to it without using any invite.

Punishment for Failure:

1) Amar will lose 45% of Synchronization.

2) Scathach will lose the experience of Asura Road Master.]

Fucking hell, since when was this a choice?!

"Scathach?! Wake up, we have work to do?!" I shout and she wakes up and goes out of the room to get battle ready. She comes back in her Celtic battledress.

"Amar what's the matter?" Scathach asks me. Yeah there's no point in calling her Shishou anymore, though I probably want her help in this mission and learn some Magecraft and hopefully Primordial Runes.

"Check the chat group and the hidden quest on it." I tell her calmly. She then opens it and reads the details on it.

"This seems to be from my world, but I am not sure if it's the same timeline or not." She tells me and I am the same. I don't know which timeline she came from, but hopefully this is the timeline I know about. It's because then, this will be easy and difficult at the same time but not unpredictable.

This will only get difficult because of Gilgamesh. I will have to eliminate him by using some less than honorable methods.

Those 2 hours pass by really quick while both of us discussed about the Holy Grail War. And then the quest got accepted automatically and both of us got sucked into a portal to the World of Fate.

I hope you liked my explanation for the wacky last chapter! It was kinda intentional from the start to make sure that people understand that MC fucks up, he fucks up real bad. But partly it was also because I had no idea what to do with Scathach but this arc will solve that hopefully.

What do you think about this quest? I kinda delayed Cha Yeonwoo's entry into the chat group since I am still not sure about his timeline.
