89 The World Inside A Novel Or A World Similar to It

(Noah's Pov)

I almost feel bad for Alfred. He was too occupied with me, too baffled to realize where we were going.

The dungeon has floors and each floor is quite large, large the diameter of the cylindrical tower that we see from outside is large enough that no one really knows how large it is.

On such a large floor there exists routes to travel from one floor to another and some of them are yet to be discovered.

Dungeons to this day haven't been completely explored, hell no one has ever gone past the 120th floor.

Well, they have but never returned back would be more appropriate words.

At any rate, the thing is Alfred didn't realize that we had walked the path that was supposed to be one that hadn't been discovered.

What's special about this route?

Well, it's one of the routes that the protagonist stumbles upon, walks forward, and ends up encountering an evil organization that trades slaves!

Yes!

Slaves!

Dread it, run from it, slave plot arrives all the same!

Jokes aside, the dungeon is the best place for such criminal activities. Dungeons in a way is sort of a way act like a meeting point for various species.

And this precise reason, added to the unexplored parts of the dungeon creates perfect conditions to commit crimes!

Such a cruel world we live in.

Anyway, I looked around at all the monsters surrounding me.

These monsters who appeared outta nowhere, well truth is, there's two of those criminal organization people here right now.

One of them can control monsters and the other has the ability of teleportation.

Combine the two and our current predicament.

My plan was simple, gotta capture those 2 dumbfucks. Have them blurt out the information, I mean I already know where they are but anyway, gotta create an image for Alfred.

After that, I had to go and save the slaves! And with this, I am also ending the entire annoying storyline of the slave arc that happened in the novel.

Not only that but since I was going to be fighting the slave organization things would get messy and Alfred would have to involve himself.

I will also use that opportunity to find a way to escape. It's been 3 hours since I have been to the dungeon, another 3 maybe, then I would be out of the dungeon and would be making my way towards the hidden dungeon.

My plan was perfect!

Alfred looked at me, his eyes a little afraid of me but shook his head and started looking around.

He must have started to realize how weird our situation seemed to be.

There were no other adventurers except us.

He must be regretting not paying proper attention to things. He was too busy in his head observing me and now it came back to bite him.

I pulled out another sword from my dimensional bracelet.

"Well, let's begin," I said readying myself to face off against the bunch of B-ranked monsters that surrounded us.

On a side note, I have my next level up available. 'Tis feels great!

There are only 2 easy hidden dungeons left. After that, I will only have moderate or hard hidden dungeons left to challenge, I want to be C+ ranked at least before challenging those.

Until now I knew what to expect from hidden dungeons but after clearing those two, I wouldn't have any advantages left. I will be going completely blind into them. The risk would rise exponentially.

Life's tough.

"You recovered, right?... Focus on the monsters and I will focus on finding the cause"

Alfred said he must have started to realize our weird situation. There was no adventurer near us, our location was desolate, and not only that these monsters appear out of nowhere and surround us, it would be one thing for me but Alfred is A+ ranked. For him to miss out on monsters creeping and surrounding us, monsters below his rank was almost impossible.

"Cool"

I replied, prepared to launch myself and kill monsters.

Just then... blood started splurting out of the monsters as a girl appeared outta nowhere, dispatching the monsters one by one.

...The hell?

My script is being changed?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Third Person Pov)

Alfred and Noah stood standstill.

One racking his brain to understand their situation, another too shocked to utter a word.

The girl who appeared had her hair all tangled and messy, with strands sticking out in different directions, unwashed. Her skin was covered in dirt, grime, and blood. Her clothes, torn, barely covering her body at all.

Then the girl with her cloudy red-colored eyes glanced at them.

Alfred snapped out of his daze and cautiously started approaching her with evident concern on his face.

The girl stepped back, pointing her whittled sword towards him, hissing, clearly wary of him

Alfred stopped and raised both his hands.

"Calm down. I don't mean any harm, alright?" His tone was gentle, Alfred didn't know what exactly occurred but it was clear to him that the girl needed help.

He tried reassuring her but her eyes remained cautious of him.

At that moment, Noah went past Alfred, walking towards the girl.

"Hey, stop approaching her so carel-" Before Alfred could say finish, Noah reached the girl.

To Alfred's surprise, the girl didn't step back nor did she show any sign of wariness.

She simply looked at Noah tilting her head and then drew her face closer sniffing him.

Noah pressed his hand on her head pushing her a bit away, she squeezed her eyes shut and then her body involuntarily shook. The dirt, grime, and blood from her body and hair got separated from her body.

And then Noah directed it all to the ground.

It was the same thing that Elina had done for him once.

With that, her appearance became clear, her white-colored hair flowing down her waist, her cloudy red-colored eye, and her scrawny skin that made her bones visible.

At that moment, Noah was almost sure about her identity.

Blinking in confusion the girl examined her body, sniffing herself, pleased.

She grasped Noah's hand and put it on her face and then started rubbing her face against his hand.

Alfred blinked unable to understand why the girl would act in such a way towards Noah.

He started walking towards them and the moment he approached them, the girl took a distance and hid herself behind Noah, her expression once again wary of Alfred.

Alfred felt startled, unable to understand.

Heaving out a sigh, he stopped himself from getting too close.

"I don't get it. She seems to be 14 or 15 years old. How did she manage to enter the dungeon?" Alfred muttered under his breath.

"Duh, slave trading"

It was Noah who said it, and after careful deliberation, he arrived at the answer.

Improvise, adapt, and keep the script going!

"What?"

"Slave trading, human trafficking, or some sort of other criminal activity. She is probably a victim and on the run right now. This is the dungeon"

Monsters weren't the only thing one had to be wary of in the dungeon.

The people around in the dungeon are also just as dangerous.

Alfred's face scrunched at those words. Worry evident on his face but before he could say anything, again a monster suddenly appeared behind them.

It was a B+ranked monster.

Noah looked at the girl and then pointed his fingers toward the monster.

The girl understood and took off with her whittled sword tightly grasped in her hand.

Time to see if she is the character I think she is

"What did you just..." Alfred looked at Noah, his eyes slightly squinting, anger evident in his tone.

"Supervisor in the name only. So shut the fuck up for a second" Noah said, his eyes looking in the direction of the girl engaging herself with the monster.

Since it's only one monster this time and higher ranked than before it seems they this is their limit. They will likely run away now and inform their boss. What should I do? Oh well, for now, let's focus on the girl.

"Are you even sane!?" Alfred shouted and then looked towards the girl and decided he would deal with the monster himself.

But before he had the chance to the girl's image flashed and then she went to decimating her enemy. She had used her elemental affinity and her skill.

Watching her, Noah was now assured of who she was.

And that was precisely why he realized something.

The plot's been off the rails since way before I entered this world. The hell?
