'Ask your homeroom teacher.'
Ying Ye Zhenshi's homeroom teacher had become the strongest shield for the student council president.
"Okay, I understand. Let's just leave it at that."
Not having a chance to get the information he sought by asking questions, Ying Ye Zhenshi changed his approach.
"Let's talk about something else. I found out that my classmate was destroying school property at random. I want to report him. I want to know what punishment he and his class as a whole will receive. Will it be announced? Or does the school not mind students destroying the school property? Also, I wonder if there are any rewards for reporting my classmates. And besides my classmate, I also want to report the senpais from the second year who humiliated us class D students by calling us 'defective products'.

The students in the second and third years had been saying that the students of Class D were defective products and provoked them, but now Ying Ye Zhenshi had come to make trouble for them.
Whether it was his own classmate or a senior student, he reported them impertinently.

The school's CCTV's were very good.
Not only could you see the image in high resolution, but you could also hear the conversation going on in the video.
Horikita started watching the video while gradually regaining his bearings.
In the video- from the beginning when the red-haired boy had taken a seat at the entrance of the convenience store to eat his instant noodles, to when the second-year students came to provoke him- all the conversations were recorded.
To put it simply, it was like the scene of a scuffle between wild dogs fighting for food and territory.

"The first year's trying to fight, ha— what!?"

"Wow—— so scary. What class are you from? Oh, wait, never mind. Let me guess… you're in class D right?"
"So what!?"
"Did you hear? He's in the D class! It was really obvious!"
"Oh? What do you mean by that, huh?"
"Because you are such a pitiful flawed product, I'll let you stay here for today. Let's go."
"You guys running away!?"
"The dog's barking! Anyway, you guys will face hell soon enough."
Not only was the quarrel seen, but there was also the scene of the second year's humiliating Class D as defective products, and finally the red-haired boy kicking over the trash can and making a mess of it randomly.
"What you said did indeed happen. Are you a student in Class D? Is he a classmate of yours?"
On the first day of school, there was a student who backstabbed one of his own classmates and even went to report to the student council president about their bad behaviour.

What was the most troublesome about this, though, was that his lovely, little sister was also in that class.
"That's right, that's right! I want to report them, so please tell me everything you can do about this, student council prez."
Ying Ye Zhenshi continued the back-and-forth exchange, just so he could understand the school's rules and regulations better.
He honestly couldn't care less whether his classmate was punished or not.
But so long as the punishment was not serious, it would mean he wouldn't have to care too much about punishments going forward.
"The punishment for kicking over the trash can and destroying school property is set by the school. The student council can't control it, and so we can't tell you. But we can handle the criticism faced by a class D student in this matter with a warning. As for the matter of a reward, unfortunately, we can only accept your report, but we are not qualified to reward you, and the school does not generally hand out such rewards for reporting bad behaviour."
Horikita had paused for a moment, thought of what he was going to say carefully, and then spoke of how the situation would be dealt with.
"Oh, so for reporting behaviour, that's how it is. Anyway, the personal punishment for things like kicking over garbage is not at all serious, with there even being no punishment basically, but the deductions will probably be in our class points. So if you do something wrong, you have done it, and there is no way to make up for it. Even if I was to dump the garbage and then pick it all back up, I wouldn't get my points back, right? It seems that only major incidents such as cheating in exams and school violence will a student be punished by suspension or even expulsion. For other personal issues of student character and conduct, the points of the entire class will be deducted instead.
Even if Horikita hadn't laid it out clearly to him, Ying Ye Zhenshi could read between the lines.
If it wasn't how he had just explained, then it would've been enough for Horikita to directly just say what punishment would be issued to the red-haired boy.
Yet, based on what he just said, the punishment would just be a perfunctory warning.
Therefore, it was likely that the punishment had already been imposed elsewhere, or not at all.
However, based on the image he had gained of this school, Ying Ye Zhenshi judged it to be the former, that is they had already imposed a punishment.
They had punished the whole class, and the red-haired boy seemed to be dragging his other classmate's legs.
And if this sort of thing repeated itself, the class points would be completely gone.
If a student did something good on the contrary, there could be a chance that the class would be rewarded, or earn nothing at all.
Now, Ying Ye Zhenshi had become more familiar with the procedures of this school.
As for the other first-years finding out about these matters, they would not because of the barriers to information- information asymmetry.
He reckoned this info blockade would be undone when the class points mechanism was revealed with updated numbers.
'Maybe they did this to give the freshmen students a bad start?'
It would be impossible to keep the information from the students for too long, and it was meaningless to keep it blocked too, since as long as the points are distributed the next month, such revelations would definitely be exposed.
'When the time comes when my class finally sees their class points having been deducted, and their private points looking so miserable, their faces should be a funny sight.'
Horikita didn't respond, but just looked at him as if he hadn't heard Ying Ye Zhenshi's words.
This further allowed Ying Ye Zhenshi to confirm his conjectures.
