Yuto and Sakura Airi were walking one after the other towards the cafeteria, both of them looking down and playing with their phones.
On the surface, both were engrossed in their phones, but in reality, they were chatting with each other through Line...
This was the way Yuto and Airi interacted with each other in public.
Even before they had entered this school, they had communicated this way for many years, turning it into a habit.

Sakura Airi's eyes immediately lit up, her cheeks flushed as she quickly replied to Yuto without hesitation.
[Sure!]
[Then, once Chabashira-sensei sends over the details of the new place, I'll forward them to you. Pick whichever room you like.]
[Uh-huh!]
If Yuto was moving out of the student dormitory, Sakura Airi wouldn't mind moving in with him!
That way, she could avoid the others' prying eyes.
This would kill two birds with one stone: avoid everyone's attention and be able to live with her childhood friend.
Yuto, who had been chatting with Sakura Airi on his phone, suddenly looked up.
He indifferently glanced at two people sitting not far ahead.
Both were carrying plates from the student cafeteria, one of them was Yuto's acquaintance, someone he had dealt with before, Ryuuen Kakeru.
Ryuuen, who was voraciously eating his dinner, also noticed Yuto.
The scars and wounds on his body involuntarily started to ache after seeing him.
Ishizaki Daichi, sitting next to the purple-haired delinquent, looked puzzled as he saw Ryuuen suddenly stop eating.
"Boss Ryuuen, why have you stopped eating?"
"I saw someone who spoils my appetite."
Curious, Ishizaki Daichi followed Ryuuen's gaze and saw Yuto.
The startled Ishizaki Daichi shrank back, hiding behind Ryuuen, trying to avoid Yuto's gaze.
Ishizaki Daichi cursed his own stupidity.
Of course, this was the only route from the dorm to the cafeteria for first-year students, increasing his chances of running into Yuto – yet he'd chosen to eat here anyway!
Although Yuto disliked delinquents, he wasn't one to provoke others without reason, so he walked past the delinquent group expressionlessly.
Sakura Airi, following behind her childhood friend, glanced at Ryuuen, who was covered in bandages and plasters, and lowered her head as she walked past them.
After Yuto and Airi walked past them, Ishizaki Daichi breathed a sigh of relief.
"Boss Ryuuen, are you really planning to go against that guy..."
"Of course, all these injuries are his doing," Ryuuen Kakeru said gloomily.
"What do you plan to do then?"
"...I don't know, I plan to dominate the whole Class C first, then find a way to deal with that guy."
Ryuuen Kakeru had no idea how to get back at Yuto.

The unscathed appearance of Shimizu Yuto, compared to his own battered self, was enough proof that fighting was not an option.

Recalling Yuto's ruthless and fierce gaze, Ryuuen felt a strange feeling that he had rarely experienced before.
A feeling called 'fear'.
Since elementary school, Ryuuen had realized that he was different; he never felt fear even when attacked by others.
Ryuuen would only think about revenge and turning the tables. Under his will and violence, all the bullies eventually bowed down to him.
Since then, he no longer understood what 'fear' was.
But now, from Yuto, he felt fear... because his past experience as a delinquent told him that this person named 'Shimizu Yuto' wanted him dead.
If not dead, then utterly destroy him.
Ryuuen recalled what Ishizaki had told him before.
That demon who detested delinquents had sent several to the hospital, with the two worst offenders having their spines seemingly broken...
And since those delinquents had committed several crimes, the demon who crippled them wasn't punished but was instead rewarded by the society.
'I have a feeling that he intended to break my spine when he stepped on my back this morning,' Ryuuen recalled being under Yuto's foot.
"Boss Ryuuen, why are you shivering?"
"...Nothing, it's just a bit cold tonight."
Ishizaki Daichi looked bewilderedly at the slightly trembling purple-haired delinquent.

"Isn't that a bit expensive?"
"Not at all, not at all! It's not expensive!"
"Then, Airi, it's up to you to decide."
