Chapter 5: Deciphering Yes and No.

Chapter 5: Deciphering Yes and No.

"Sae-chan, can I buy you?"

Hearing this, everyone turned to my direction except Koenji who only Fufu'ed as he just continued cleaning his nails.

Silence spread on the class for a few seconds before it was broken by a stifled laugh.

"Pft"

Before the class's reaction erupts, sensei immediately glared at them before turning her sights on me.

"What do you mean by that, Enryu Kaizer?"

Ignoring how I called her for now, she asks what I meant by my question.

"It means exactly how you and everyone understands it, Sae-chan." I said as I looked into her eyes.

It might seem like a question that suggests "something" but if one actually paid close attention to her words before, then they would come to a conclusion that my question is my way of asking something important although in a very indirect and vague way.

Of course I also don't expect her to get what I really meant easily. After all, it's not like sensei lived every single day of her life full of people who speaks words that can mean many things. Well, I can't say that I will not be disappointed since she herself just did exactly what I'm doing right now just moments ago.

"If that's what it means, then no." She replied as she calmed herself down.

Looks like that question was really not enough for her to notice it, huh. I'm slightly disappointed but this is still within an acceptable range for a teacher. Well, I also can't ignore the possibility that she's just feigning ignorance and wants me to be more clear on what I want.

I don't want to waste any more time so I'll amp the hints quite a bit. If the smarter students notices it, then so be it. I'm also a little curious on what they would do and how much will they be able to grasp.

"Can I take that no because you don't want to or is it because that the money I have in hand is not enough for you to agree?" I asked with analyzing eyes and a small smile.

Hearing my question and seeing my eyes, her cold face broke to a small smile. Looks like she finally understood huh.

Oh man, her smile is also quite beautiful. It makes me want to see how it would look like if she is flustered just like Horikita-chan...well, that's now added to my bucket list for what I will do in this school.

"I see. So that's what you're after, huh." She replied finally noticing what I was truly after.

Hearing our conversation, the class is starting to get confused by it except for some few ones who is starting to catch on what I am doing and is now paying close attention.

Oh~ so that girl over there is not your average student huh. I thought she was since her group of friends are average. Chiaki Matsushita, huh. She's quite a beauty too.

"No." She answered without explaining anything at all.

Well, I've already expected that but that's not what I'm really after since I'm pretty much already sure that I can buy her if she agreed somehow. That was just a test after all.

I just asked that question to give her a foreshadowing of what I will do to her in the future. Wether she noticed it or not will depend on her of course.

Now that I confirmed that she's quick on the uptake, I can now ask her with my real questions.

"I see...then here's the next question. If I were to punch someone, would the school only punish me or will the school also include my whole class in the punishment?"

If smart people were to decipher this senseless question of mine again, then they would be able to learn what I'm really asking. Well, they need to know the rules and the system of the school as a context first of course.

Of course there's also the people who won't get anything at all.

"H-hey, bro. What do you mean by you will punch someone-"

"Shut it. Don't interrupt my precious conversation with Sae-chan."

"Huh!?"

"Yes." She answered (Ignoring the fly's existence) without explaining anything again. Looks like the higher ups really forbade her to tell things to us directly huh.

Well, that's understandable. After all, they will only teach the students for 3 years. She already dropped hints and it's already obvious what are the dos and the don'ts. It will now depend on the students to decipher them or else they will drop to hell and will be treated as worthless existences.

With that single word as an answer, many things have became clear to me and I now know that the future will be a pain in the ass. I would've called it "fun" if I am not going to deal with complete and utter idiots.

"Then here's my 3rd and last question. Is there other ways to raise the points that "I" will receive at the start of the month?"

Hearing that, murmurs could be heard in the classroom. After all, it's already a huge deal to receive 100,000 yen per month. If there are ways to raise that, then it will definitely catch their attention. Humans are greedy after all.

At that question, the exact answer that I predicted came out of her mouth.

"I apologize but I'm not allowed to answer that question."

"I see, so there's a way huh." I spoke with enough volume to be heard by the class as they got confused by my words that contradicted her answer.

I also saw someone who fufu'ed at the peripherals of my vision. What I'm doing might also help him a lot but I don't really care. I only consider what I'm doing as serving my self so I won't care even if other people feed on my left overs.

"Wha-"

"What is it Horikita?" Before the student named Yamauchi was able to ask his obviously low IQ question to me, he got cut off as sensei called out to Horikita who raised her hand.

Looks like she finally felt that things aren't as simple as what they seemed to be. Good job Horikita-chan.

"From Kai-kun's words, there seems to be already a way to increase the points we will receive each month. Can you please atleast confirm if that was true or not?"

What a boring question.

"Yes, I can atleast confirm that there's already ways to raise them." Sensei said as she nodded.

From the level of Horikita that I've seen so far, I'm one hundred percent sure she's thinking that what sensei meant was the exams, clubs, and performances. Well, I didn't really rule them out but that's not really what I aimed for my question.

After all, wether or not they count as ways to raise my points does not matter to me. What I truly have in mind is naturally along the lines of buying points with money from the outside world, contracts, blackmails- those kinds of things.

How did I immediately think of those things you ask?

Because I've already come to the conclusion from every information that I gained that this school is a mini society itself.

If people who came out of here are only a bunch of book smart people, then that in itself is not enough to carry the name of this school. Even if someone have tons of knowledge, he/she is still an easy prey to crush if he/she is not competent enough to stand in the current society.

It's just like carrying millions of bullets for every gun that exists in the world even though you only have one pistol as a weapon, against someone on a tank.

You might have tons of knowledge at your disposal but it will still depend on you if you can actually use them to be able to destroy the hurdles in your way before they destroy you.

And the school knowing that, will create ways to turn the school into some sort of a mini society simulation. In that way, the students will get to taste how things works in the "real" world early and will atleast be competent enough to actually withstood the raging currents brought by the harshness and unfairness of the world.

That's why I came to the conclusion that those things will be allowed as long as you don't get caught. Just like society itself.

Anyways, hearing that there's indeed ways to raise the points that we will get, the class erupts with excitement.

"Wahhh can't you atleast tell us how sensei!?" Asked a girl excitedly. I can easily imagine what's going on in her head. Her friends nods their head enthusiastically as they also waited for her answer.

"Yeah! Yeah! By the way, what the heck is with this school!? It's so generous, man!" Shouted Yamauchi with joy before sensei mercilessly shut their enthusiasm down.

"Sorry to burst your bubbles but just as I I said, I'm not allowed to tell you those. It will be up to you to figure them out." Sensei answered as short as always.

"So, any other questions?"

Seeing that no one raised their hands, she then prepared to leave.

"Well, it appears no one has any questions anymore. I hope that you enjoy your time here as students."

And with that, she finally left the room. I of course didn't missed the slight look that she gave me before going out of the classroom.

The newly rich students began to talk to their friends of the things that they are going to buy with their points.

Well, I admit that I'm also one of them.

"Hey Horikita-chan. Let's go to the-"

"Kai-kun, can you please enlighten me the exact details that you gained from those ambiguous questions of yours?"

Well, looks like I will have to face Horikita's interrogation first.
