23 Map

As the knight knelt before him, Leon calmly commanded, "At ease." Razen promptly rose to his full height, awaiting further instructions.

Just as Leon was about to address the knight, a voice chimed in from behind him. "His mustache is very well groomed," remarked Wiz, his sage-like demeanor evident as he brushed his goatee beard.

Startled, Leon turned to face Wiz. "Wiz?" he questioned, puzzled by the unexpected appearance of his advisor.

Coming out of his stupor, Wiz quickly responded, "My lord, we have finished burying our comrades and have burned the bodies of the goblins."

Understanding the gravity of the situation, Leon nodded solemnly. "I see," he murmured.

Turning back to Wiz, Leon issued his next command. "Go find Kael and instruct him to bring two barbarians and the horses with him."

Wiz saluted in acknowledgment. "Understood," he affirmed before swiftly departing to carry out his orders.

After instructing Wiz, Leon turned his attention back to the Razen. "Follow Wiz so you can acquaint yourself with some of our comrades," he ordered, to which the knight saluted and promptly followed Wiz's path.

Watching them depart, Leon reached into his inventory once more and retrieved another white card.

Crushing it in his hand, the card disintegrated into a flurry of white particles that coalesced into a metallic tablet and a floating metal orb.

With the tablet now in his outstretched hand and the orb hovering nearby, Leon's curiosity piqued.

Tap~

Poke~

He tentatively reached out to touch the tablet, but nothing happened.

Then suddenly, a dialogue box appeared in front of him, prompting,

[ Note: You should imbue mana to the tablet to turn it on. ]

"I see.. " Following the instructions, Leon infused mana into the tablet, causing it to light up instantly.

Peering at the screen with intrigue, Leon observed three icon boxes:

[ Map & Layout ]

[ Train ]

[ Campaign ]

As Leon gazed at the tablet with growing curiosity, he decided to click on the map icon.

Instantly, a prompt appeared on the screen:

[ Do you want to activate mapping mode? ]

[ Yes ] [ No ]

Pausing for just a moment, Leon considered the implications before confidently selecting "Yes."

In response, the orb that had been floating nearby shot upward into the air.

-Whoosh~

-Vhhhm~

A faint sound echoed through the surroundings as a visible ripple spread through the air.

Moments later, another prompt materialized on the tablet:

[ Mapping mode has been activated. ]

Then the scenery in the screen suddenly shifted to a third-person perspective, as if he had ascended into the air.

The entire territory was seen entirely in the tablet, and he could twist his perspective at will like in a simulation game.

In the dense forest's open space, the residents appeared as small as ants as they worked diligently, he can also see the Lumberjacks wielding their tools to cut down trees and the troops patrolling the village. While the houses, Town hall, cannon, and the ruin castle standing in the open space were reduced to the size of wooden blocks.

"Interesting. As expected the rewards are very excellent… Eh? What is this?"

Just as Leon was about to exit and press the other icon, he suddenly discovered something strange about the interface.

Right now, his viewpoint was suspended in mid-air.

He had complete control over the perspective, able to adjust it in any direction and zoom in or out to a certain degree. He could focus on the smallest details of the buildings, or take in the entirety of the territory at once.

With a slight adjustment on the tablet. The angle and field of vision can be widened in his view and lowered it, allowing him to not only see the entire territory but also glimpse something deep in the forest beyond.

There was a temple in the mountains in the northeast, a gray stone forest in the north, a cave in the south, a dilapidated stone building complex covered in vines and weeds on the western part of the forest.

"It seems like there's more to this land than just forests. I'll have to make time to explore those areas," Leon thought to himself before exiting the interface and returning to the main menu.

Leon then tap on the train icon, revealing a familiar interface reminiscent of the one found inside the barracks. Observing the layout, he remarked, "So it's the same one, huh? But it's more convenient now that I don't have to go back and forth to the barracks to recruit."

"The only problem now is the lack of elixir... haaah" Leon said as he sigh.

Returning to the main menu, Leon's gaze shifted to the last icon: campaign. With a sense of anticipation, he clicked on it, and his eyes widened as he beheld a familiar map sprawled out before him.

"Now that's interesting... "

[ Single player ]

[ Goblin map ]
