Chapter 92: The Gift Of Lunar Sight

Casey's Bedroom, The Peterson Residence, Fallon Creek, Michigan...

Casey Allen Peterson had once more been the first to awaken as he noted Rick's heavier body had still been pinning him to the mattress. He sighed as he used his free hand to run his fingers through the slumbering Rick's head. He smiled contented for the time being to simply lay there in his bed with Rick on top of him. He had no doubt that the abrasive werewolf would be aimed at having another go at him once he awakened and simply decide to allow him to sleep in peace. The strange visions of what happened to them in the past had seemingly unnerved him as he recalled how vivid they had been. Rick's memories in particular had been the most tragic in Casey's opinion with him feeling the brooding older boy's murder as if it were happening to him.

He recognized the large brute of a wolf that had infected Rick that night, the same bastard that seemed to have taken an active interest in them from the moment he found Rick's mind and body given to what he referred to as "The Rut" in the woods.

The brooding older teen seemed to stir a bit as Casey looked down at him and ran a trembling hand along his face noting his onset of facial hair began to return. He kissed him softly on the lips and managed to maneuver his own naked body until he'd climbed off Rick and the bed without awakening the sleeping teen. The call of nature had been a particularly strong one as Casey scooped up his basketball shorts and ventured out of his bedroom, which reeked of sex, sweat, and old gym socks. He made a mental note to open the window when he returned and possibly to have a drink once he noticed how dry his mouth had been.

As he moved through the darkened hallway, Casey felt as if there was something about to occur, something that would shake the town on its foundations but he had not known what it would be. The visions of a full moon, a good deal of blood, and an angry mob of people had flashed before his eyes and his weary mind couldn't make any sense of it.

He shrugged it off as one bad horror movie too many before going to bed and proceeded into the bathroom where he strolled up to the toilet bowl and began to relieve himself. He sighed as he looked up at the ceiling trying to clear his mind and shake off the remainder of not only the visions but his grogginess from his lustful coupling with Rick Channon. He smirked feeling the residual soreness that came with Rick really letting loose and opted to have a quick shower if only to clean himself up and lessen his aches.

While Rick had been a right arse most of the time, He had his moments and well-meaning qualities even with being a werewolf. Casey supposed he could have been a bit better but being what he was, he was glad that he had Rick in his life after everything he'd gone through before he moved to Fallon Creek.

Casey finished up at the toilet and moved over toward the shower hoping to get as clean as possible before the brooding teen awoke and opted for whatever he had in mind that was guaranteed to make them all dirty again. It was a shock to Casey to finish his shower and return to his room to find that there was no trace of Rick anywhere.

He had packed up his stuff and took off without a word which had not been ideal given the hour and odd considering all they had just experienced. He supposed Rick was still reeling from their shared connection amplifying their worst memories for each other and opted to give the temperamental louse a bit of space for the time being.

With a sigh, Casey turned his attention back to the television and noted the evening report. The things on the monitor and the report had looked eerily familiar as he began to slowly recall the visions he'd seen shortly before taking his shower.

The people in mourning, the blood, and the full moon had been present just as before in the vision. Casey felt a node of panic as he found himself rushing to the phone to call Rick who had been possibly in the thick of the chaos or in the more likely of circumstances, the reason for it.

Pacing back n forth, Casey tried again and again to reach Rick but he didn't answer. After the fifth time calling his house, Rick picked up sounding slightly annoyed and fumbling with the receiver when he first got it into his hands.

"RICK, RICK PICK UP!" shouted Casey unaware that Rick had already held the phone.

{"What's all the yelling about?"} he growled clearly in a sour mood on the other end of the phone.

"Rick, I saw something, blood, the full moon, and people mourning something, and then I turned on the television and there it was," said Casey almost panicked. "I think something bad is going to happen or it already did."

{"Casey...are you sure you woke up properly?"} asked Rick slightly annoyed. {"There is no full moon tonight, it ain't till next week, and believe me I've been keeping track in case that asshole shows up again at either of our doorsteps, and there was nothing on the news about people mourning."}

"I know what I saw Rick," said Casey frustrated. "Something bad is coming to Fallon Creek."

{"I doubt it, unless, of course, it's another hit squad."} remarked Rick about his family being killed. {"Listen maybe you're just exhausted from earlier and need to relax a bit, I took off because Aunt Dee rang and we've got a busy day tomorrow with the new shipment coming in and she wants me there bright and early....why don't you try and get some rest for the time being okay?"}

Casey had taken a moment to glance at the television and felt rather foolish when he noted that it had been on a horror movie channel and the images he saw had indeed been from the movie. He sighed in relief and turned his attention back toward his messy bed.

"Maybe you're right," he said sounding as exhausted as he looked. {"It's probably just my imagination."

{"I'll see you soon, just get some sleep."} said Rick with a bit of concern in his tone.

"I'll try." replied Casey in a sheepish tone."Thanks for taking my call Rick."

{"No problem."} replied Rick still concerned for his younger lover. {"You just rest."}

Casey hung up the phone and plopped back down in his bed. Rick had been right after all, he was quite exhausted and eventually drifted back off into a contented sleep, but that didn't stop the strange visions from coming.
