Chapter 64: A Relatively Normal Life

The Back Yard, The Peterson Residence, Fallon Creek, Michigan...

It had been relatively late in the day when Helen Peterson pulled up to the house dreading the fact that her only son was still sick with a fever and delirious due to having been out in the woods so late. She had not known what to make of his relationship with the resident troublemaker Rich Channon, but she was glad he'd been there to watch over Casey while she was at work. When the faded red station wagon pulled into the driveway of her highly sought-after new home, she had not expected to see both Rick and Casey once again playing basketball as if the past few weeks of his rampant fever had never occurred. Both boys had played shirtless with Rick guarding Casey as the younger lad attempted to get passed him and take the ball right to the hoop in his second attempt at scoring over the older boy. Rick smirked rather wickedly as he got in a defensive position and managed to back Casey off the hoop. Watching them play they looked like two good friends merely enjoying a game of basketball but Helen had known better. She had caught them having sex in her son's bedroom one night after coming home from work and as a result, had been none too keen on their "friendship displays" whenever she'd been near them.

"Casey, Rick," she said greeting them as she stepped toward the front door.

"Hi Mom," said Casey his cheeks immediately turning red as he recalled all too well that she knew about him having sex and even worse, that it was with Rick Channon of all people.

"How you doing Mrs. P?" replied Rick not meeting her gaze directly for the same reason.

Helen sighed as they both rushed over covered in sweat with their hair messy as they greeted her. Casey gave her a sweaty hug and Rick simply nodded in her direction. She shook her head as she tussled Casey's wet messy locks and placed a hand on Rick's shoulder.

"You boys hungry?" she asked with an arched brow and immediately reverting to her mother's status.

"Yep," replied Casey eagerly after she changed the subject.

"Starving," replied Rick also eager to eat whatever Mrs. Peterson had been planning to cook.

"You're always starving," replied Casey playfully punching Rick in the stomach despite it having no effect on him whatsoever.

"Not my fault athletes have a high metabolism," said Rick in his defense. "Or so I've heard."

"Well finish up your game and then go wash up while I get dinner started," said Helen with a smirk before heading into the house.

The boys raced back toward the court and began playing again this time with Rick having the ball and Casey doing the guarding.

Rick smirked at Casey noting that the younger lad had been a distinct disadvantage. Basketball had been his thing since before he'd been turned into a werewolf and there was no way the newborn whelp was going to get one over on him, not when it came to this court.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The Kitchen, The Peterson Residence, Fallon Creek, Michigan...

Helen turned her attention toward making dinner for her and the boys. It was a good feeling cooking for three again despite her knowing all too well that Rick was the sort to nearly eat them out of house and home. She had not liked the idea of her son being with Rick at first but it appeared the brooding boy had truly cared for her son and it was all she and her husband ever could have asked for in terms of their boy having a normal sort of life. Had he been born a normal girl, she wouldn't have had Rick within a hundred miles of her baby but with Casey, it was a bit more of a complex situation.

She spent years wondering if he'd ever find anyone to love him for him and it not be some crude sexual fetish and now she seemed to have gotten her answer as she noted the two boys wrestling about on the basketball court and kissing when they believed she'd been focused elsewhere.

It was strange to see her only son with his arms wrapped around the good-looking older boy's neck as they continued to kiss and Rick seemed to pull Casey closer. The boys seemed to be in their own world as Helen turned her attention back to preparing dinner for them as she sighed when coming to terms with her son's chosen lover.

While Rick Channon had not been ideal, Helen was at least glad that Casey had some aspect of a normal life even if it had not been the one she envisioned for him. Of course, her having walked in on her son having sex for what had not been the first time given how comfortable they had been was something she could have lived without knowing about. Helen made her way over to her stash of wine and took out a glass.

She poured herself a drink and ended up drinking it down quickly as a means of distracting herself from the image of her son riding another boy's rather impressive-looking cock while she'd been upstairs. She had spoken to Rick about the unseemly events but not Casey. Not just yet. She sighed as she set about washing her hands and gathering the necessary ingredients for dinner.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Outside, The Peterson Residence, Fallon Creek, Michigan...

Casey Peterson stood with his arms wrapped around Rick's neck as their lips crashed together in a series of heated kisses. Rick smirked as he pulled Casey toward him wrapping his arms around the younger lad's waist as they gave in to the heat once more building between them in place of finishing off their little basketball game. Casey smirked when he met Rick's gaze knowing all too well that his mother had been home and likely watching them. He stepped back with a dreamy look on his goofy face as Rick smirked and turned his attention toward putting the ball into the hoop one last time before they decided to head in for the night.

As eager as they were to spend some time together, they were even more eager for whatever Helen Peterson had made for them all for dinner.
