" Luna please let me help you with that". One of the guards assigned to help Rachel said for the tenth time with a sigh.

He had been pleading with Rachel to let him help her with gardening and watering the many flowers in her garden but to no avail and Rachel proved to be very adamant about this; refusing to let the guard help her with what she sees as her hubby.

The guard sighed. He never knew that his Luna would be so stubborn, refusing his help. He hoped his Alpha never sees this scene or hears of it, if not he was good as dead.

He had been given a important task to do: which was to make sure the Luna did not engage in any work of any kind and he was supposed to help her to do even the smallest of things. Things as small as bending to pick up something from the floor all for the sake that she's pregnant!.

"Morning Luna". Reyna who was passing by greeted Rachel with a smile.

The guard suddenly felt like he had seen a saviour and called out to Reyna with enthusiasm and in relief.

"Morning beta, can you plead on my behalf and tell the Luna to let me help her with the gardening and watering of her plants please?, I have trying to plead with her but she completely ignored me!". He complained.

"She ignored you?!". Reyna asked looking at Rachel, ––the subject of their conversation— who decided to ignore them and was busy gardening and she didn't seem to mind that her hands were stained with dirt and sand.

"You see what I'm talking about, She just ignores someone and acts like you are invisible to her when she's gardening!". The guard complained.

"She ignored you and you are complaining?". Reyna asked the guard with a raised brow.

"Beta I'm sorry- ".

"You should be happy she didn't claw out your eyes for trying to help her in gardening". Reyna said with a serious expression on her face.

The guard wore a look of disbelieve.

Reyna sighed, pitying the fate of the guard.

She knew her sister Rachel and what she was capable of. She could still vividly remember when she was thirteen and Rachel fifteen and she and Rachel both got into an intense quarrel which soon turned to a fight all because she mistakingly crushed one of Rachel's flowers.

And how could she forget how Rachel growled at their mom when she helped Rachel water her plants when she wasn't at home?.

Rachel was that type of person who'd prefer her plants to die than to allow someone else help her water it.

She seems to take pride in the fact that she's the only person who planted and watered her flowers alone.

And seeing her ignore the guard who mentioned the word she never wants to hear instead of reacting was quite a surprise for Reyna.

'Maybe her pregnancy has made her less aggressive'. Reyna said to herself before striding off.

The guard tried to hide it but he was really scared of his Luna after what Reyna said to him and so he decided getting punished by the Alpha was better than losing his eyes.

THE KINGDOM OF THERA

crown prince Jason pacedanxiously around his chamber. He was lossing patience, there were two days left before the deadline and the guards he secretly assigned to find a lady with the attributes of a good Queen didn't come with good news. They were no where close to finding a lady who was as strong as Felicia, save beauty, smartness and bravery.

He disliked Felicia, everything about her.

Although Felicia was a lady who was considered as every man's dream 'woman'. She was beautiful, smart and a very independent woman. She was that kind of woman that a man wouldn't help but be attracted to, save Jason. They were introduced to each other by his mother when he was eighteen years old and she on the other hand sixteen and the day of their meeting had been a nightmare for him.

His mother told him that She used to be a princess of Vatis, a Kingdom which was defeated by their enemy. Her father had saved both his live and that of his daughter by escaping through the secret passage in his kingdom and they both decided to go the nearest kingdom—which happened to be Thera–– for refuge and to start a new life.

According to his mother, Felicia had decided to become a royal guard –because there is no gender discrimination in Thera– instead of becoming a maid like her father intended because it has always been her dream to fight and safeguard the life of others.

Jason didn't believe Felicia's story and thought it was simply ridiculous, why would someone who had been living in luxury all her life have a dream of becoming a guard?. But the queen didn't suspect anything and simply believed Felicia's story.

Felicia was discovered by the Queen because of her talents and great powers. Although she was not a full-blooded sorcerer,( because her mother was a sorcerer while her father completely a human), she was still stronger than most of the pure–blooded sorcerers.

This fact alone was enough for the Queen to check her out and when she found out that the rumours about her was true, she decided to make Felicia the assistant head of royal guards in Thera.

And then when the Queen closely monitored Felicia and found out that she truly loved been a royal guard and was not lying or pretending, she decided right at that moment that Felicia was a potential partner for her son and mainly because of these following reasons:

1] Felicia was a totally honest person.

2] She had the attributes of a good leader and was good with advice.

3] And to top it all..... Felicia and the Queen had a lot in common and she was such a sweet talker!.

But despite all these Jason still disliked her because ever since she came into his life things changed and his mother completely changed too!.

Queen Elise suddenly turned into someone Scheming and manipulative!.

"Your highness, good news!".

One of the guards he assigned for the task reported from outside the door.

Jason interest got piqued but he stayed calm.

"What good news?". He called out.

"We have found a lady of your liking and she's not just beautiful and smart, she's also strong and she's right here with us!".

Honey I cooked your favourite!",Was the word that welcomed Reyna as soon as she got home from the pack house in the evening.

The sweet aroma of macaroni and cheese wafted into Reyna's nostril and she inhaled deeply sighing in pleasure.

She went straight to the kitchen where the aroma was coming from and saw her parents cooking, she smiled at the scene and greeted them.

"Welcome home honey, how was your day?". Reyna's mum, Katie replied to Reyna's greeting with a smile.

"My day was stressful and I'm totally exhausted and that's because 'our' Luna was having crazy mood swings".

"Oh really, So what did Rachel do?". Katie asked calmly as she served the food on a plate.

"Rachel as been having this crazy mood swings like today, one of the guards sent to protect her mistakenly crushed one of her plants and—".

"Instead of Reacting like she used to do she ignored the guard and acted like it's no big deal right?".

"Wow mum, how did you know that's what I was about to say?". Reyna asked.

"Well it's normal for her to have mood swings since she's pregnant and I too had mood swings during my pregnancy".

"Like mother like daughter". Mike, Reyna's father commented and Katie glared at him.

Reyna snickered and sat down to eat.

"What's that the only thing she did?". Katie asked curiously as she gave Reyna her meal.

"No mother, she also asked me to help massage her back because she was having some cramps and can you imagine that when Damien suggested that he should do the massaging she refused and insisted that I do it?. Reyna Stated before she started eating.

"Really she did that?, So what did Alpha Damien do?". Mike asked as his curiosity got piqued.

"Her mate was unhappy by her refusal and he kept on glaring and growling at me during the massage and I felt like I was in a dog house which is half true anyway". Reyna complained.

"Don't blame Damien he's just been overprotective—"

"And possessive". Reyna added in a mouthful of macaroni and cheese.

Her father chuckled at her outburst.

"As you already know, we werewolves are quite possessive and protective of our mates and any intimate interaction our mate has with anyone–blood related or not–can trigger jealousy in us". Mike explained.

"That's ridiculous". Reyna replird rolling her eyes.

"You think this way because you have not found your mate, and trust me when you do you will definitely feel this way cause it's natural". Katie added with a smile.

"So, you felt that way when you met Dad?". Reyna asked curiously.

Katie chuckled and with a look of nostalgia she began her tale.
