Long Time No See

Reyna excepted her grandmother to become angry by her taunts but she only stared intently at Reyna with those cold amber eyes of hers before saying calmly;

"I understand your confusion Reyna, I too would be confused if I were in your shoes and was a clueless child who knows nothing about what happens around her...but you are no longer a child and I'm sure common sense would tell you that the reason I look this young even when I claim to be your grandmother is because—".

"You used a spell to keep your youthful appearance, now I understand". Reyna said donning a fake look of realization.

Her grandmother narrowed her eyes at Reyna.

Thinking that she might have made her grandmother angry, Reyna decided to end her taunts.

"Well...to be honest I knew all along that you were my grandmother and the reason you looked this young is because you used a spell"

"Then why—"

"I just wanted to play dumb and act clueless for awhile". Reyna replied sheepishly.

Her grandma looked at the sky as if pleading for something.

'Probably patience to deal with me'. Thought Reyna with a smirk.

"You wanted to play dumb?", Her grandmother asked with what seemed like disbelieve. "How old are you Reyna, ten?".

"Actually, I'm twenty-one years old gran".

"Twenty-one?, Well you're still a pup in the werewolf world", she taunted. "That explains why you are acting childish". She added seriously.

Now it was Reyna's turn to feel like she had been slapped on the face. Did her grandmother just call her a pup?, A PUP?!. She felt so annoyed and insulted. So insulted, she was the second in command and beta of the blue moon pack. A pack popular for its massive size and well trained warriors. Same warriors she had singlehandedly trained. Not only was the pack in which Reyna was a beta popular—she too was popular among other packs and a lot of people knew her too. Especially the werewolves, the blue moon pack was a pack which was known to be very helpful. Countless times, packs which gets attacked by rogues would call for assistance and most times, Reyna and two or three pack warriors would go to assist them whenever alpha Damien was not chanced to do so. She was the first female to become a beta in blue moon pack and at the age of eighteen too. Not only was she a good beta, she was also a skilled warrior, so skilled that some of the packs she goes to assist would beg her to stay in their own pack for some days so she could give their pack warriors some fighting tips. Some even went as far as trying to entice her with money so she could join their own pack and become beta but she declined giving them stern warning not to do such things again. Within few years she had made a name for herself and here her grandmother was calling her a pup. A PUP for that matter!. The nerve...

"Don't you ever call me a pup!". She snarled glaring daggers at her grandmother.

Idina read her granddaughter's mind and she couldn't help but feel impressed. She wasn't one who was easily impressed but the girl surprised her by her 'achievements'. Just like her, Reyna also didn't liked to be looked down upon. She hated that her grandmother called her a pup. Idina's lips curved up in satisfaction of seeing her so annoyed, this would make her realize how it felt to be taunted.

"Don't ever call me a pup!". She snarled glaring at Idina with so much hostility but Idina was not fazed instead she raised a brow and asked haughtily;

"And if I do, what are you going to do about it?".

Reyna looked very very annoyed...no she looked very furious. Her amber eyes glimmered dangerously almost looking like gold. She growled threateningly but before she could do anything the door was suddenly opened and Mike—Reyna's father and her daughter's mate stepped out of the mansion.

Idina mood suddenly soured at the sight of him. This man, this werewolf was the reason her daughter left her, the same reason the mother-daughter bond which she and Katie had was broken and most annoying of all, the reason Katie defied her—which made her disowned Katie out of anger.

To see this werewolf after so many years still made her so angry.

Mike looked at her and she could see the look in his eyes—a look which clearly just told her that they both had mutual feeling of dislike for each other. She wasn't surprised by this though, she expected it, for anyone werewolf would feel angry when you try to separate them from their mate and Mike wasn't an expectation.

"Idina". He uttered her name like it was a curse.

Idina gave him a fake smile. "Mike...long time no see, you haven't changed a bit, so where is my dau—, I mean Katie, where is she?".

Mike narrowed his eyes at her. "She's inside". He mumbled.

"Um...so can I see her?". Idina asked lightly.

Anger flickered through his eyes, "why do you want to see her?",he demanded angrily. "I thought—". He suddenly stopped before taking a deep breath as if to calm his self. Idina knew why he decided to stop though, he had stopped because of Reyna, seems like he did not want his daughter to know of their conflicts, but the girl was no longer a child and sooner or later she might find out about it. The girl in question now had a look on her face which was a mixture of both curiosity and confusion by her father's outburst.

"Come inside" Mike finally invited her inside despite his earlier outburst.

Idina rolled her eyes before following him inside and Reyna followed behind her.

He Lead her into the mansion and they arrived at the entrance hall, the hall had a bright blue and white striped wallpaper, and at the middle was large and very beautiful painting—it was the portrait of her daughter and her family—They all were seated in a large couch and Katie had her head rested on Mike's shoulder and Reyna and Rachel looked like they were in their early teens, they all wore bright smiles.

Mike further led her to the hallway, and Idina noticed that the wall of the hallway was lined with beautiful paintings of the moon. They turn to the left side of the hallway and Idina saw a dozen closed doors and just then Mike opened one of the door and they all stepped inside.

As Idina got Inside, she was surprised to see Katie pacing around and muttering to herself, she didn't seem to notice that they entered the room. She hadn't changed a bit since the last time she saw her, her waist length Silver blond hair was still bright and beautiful and so was her sapphire blue eyes.

Mike let out a tired sigh as he gazed at Katie. "Katie, Idina is here". He said making Idina's presence known.

Katie stopped in her tracks before she slowly turned around, her eyes widened as she saw Idina."Mo—Idina". She muttered as she gulp in fear at the sight of her.

Gazing at her daughter, the motherly part of Idina wanted to forget about the past and embrace Katie but the Stubborn part of her wouldn't let her. So instead of embracing Katie, she smirked at her and said; "Hello, Katie long time no see".
