Circumventing Fate
When Lei Xing booked a luxurious cruise as a graduation present to herself, she expected to have plenty of well-deserved rest and relaxation with an ocean view before jumpstarting her career. What she did not expect was to be the unlucky person who would fall overboard to a miserable watery death… or so she thought. As soon as Lei Xing left the royal study, the bracelet began its whining again. By the time Lei Xing arrived at her palace, she was extremely irritated.
{...You are not staying here and that is final!...}

Finally fed up, Lei Xing went to remove the bracelet, only to find she could not move it. Her eyes widened, she panicked and tried harder to yank it off, but it seemed glued to her wrist.

Lei Xing rummaged through her room to find a lubricant. She poured a bottle of scented oil on her wrist, then tried to peel the bracelet off but it still did not budge, then she tried cutting the line with a knife.
