127 Ch. 124 - Party Planning

"Can you tell me more about this 'religion'?" Dracula leaned forward and perked his ears up, wanting to absorb as much information as possible.

"Oh, looks like someone is finally interested in something aside from his wife and daughter." Murray chuckled and teased. Though he soon dropped it off when he saw Dracula's serious face.

"Alright. I'll tell you what I know. All I know is that this religion just came to existence a hundred years ago. I don't know who is behind it and how it gathered so many followers in just a hundred years, but all I know is that this religion is quite a force to be reckoned with since last time I heard, they're taking their roots deep within the human world." Wayne finished and Frankenstein also contributed to what he knows.

"Let me tell you Drac, this religion worships someone that we all are familiar with."

"You mean the Lucifer?" Dracula asked.

"Yes, I heard this Lucifer somehow came to be after the Great War hundreds of years ago." Frankenstein then continued.

"Great War? You mean that war?" Dracula was wide-eyed when he heard this from Frankenstein. Who else aside from him participated in that Great War? He almost lost his life there if it wasn't for his benefactor, Jin.

'Could it be??' Dracula's eyes widened in realization and can't help but turn to search for Jin so he could have a better look at him, only to see him having a good chat with his daughter, Mavis. How could he tell it was a good chat?

Seeing the full blown and pure smile on Mavis's face made him remember the past when he was still the one who used to place a pure smile on her face.

But now, although she was still smiling for him, he could tell it wasn't as pure as when she was still a child.

However, for the first time in a hundred years, he was about to see her pure smile once again.

Unfortunately it wasn't him who was making her smile like that again.

"Hey Hey Hey. What's going on, I see you both got close yeah?" Driven by instincts to protect his daughter from harm, Dracula forgot that the person she was having fun chatting with was his benefactor.

This is merely his instinct as a father to protect his daughter.

"Dad. Look, I made a friend." Mavis smiled and said while pointing at Jin. Even though Dracula already knew about him.

Nevertheless, Mavis still felt like it was right for her to introduce her new friend to her father even though they already knew about each other.

"Yeah, I can see that. And.....I see you both got quite close to each other." Dracula's eyes darted between his daughter and benefactor. He felt like he was being replaced by Jin, even though he couldn't tell.

"Yes, dad. He was actually telling me about the outside world! Do you remember when you told me that humans are bad and the 'humans' that I encountered were bad?" Seeing the twinkling eyes of Mavis, Dracula gulped his saliva in nervousness especially when he heard about the 'humans' that she encountered when they're really zombies that are disguised as humans.

"Y-yeah, my mavy wavy?" Dracula stuttered and replied.

"It turns out, there are two sides of humans! And the 'humans' that I encountered are just some bad ones! Which means not all hope is lost, there are good humans out there! Jin here told me that there are more good humans than the bad humans. What I encountered back then was just bad luck." Mavis can't stop her mouth and the more she spoke, the more Dracula felt like he needed to get out of here.

"T-that's nice to hear, Mavis. Now, how about I go first so I could make some plans, okay?" Dracula smiled and said before leaving.

"Okay?" Mavis raised her eyebrows, though confused at her father's weird behavior, at least she still got Jin to accompany her. Only for cold water to pour on her head as she heard Dracula say next.

"With Jin!" Before he proceeded to grab Jin away from the scene.

"Wait what?" Although Mavis wanted to complain, unfortunately Dracula and Jin were already gone from her sight, so she could only slump back on a stool and drink the Bug Juice that Jin left behind.

However, just as she grabbed the drink, a bunch of shadows suddenly loomed over her.

Turning her head up, she was met with Tigress's gaze along with Rapunzel and Elsa.

"Uhm, may I help you?" Being stared at by three women with such a serious look, made Mavis a bit nervous.

"We need to talk." Tigress took the initiative to talk before picking her up by her waist and dropped her over her shoulder before she started to walk away from the bar.

"....I don't have any say about this, aren't I?" Mavis awkwardly smiled and when she received Tigress's nod, she gave up resistance and just allowed herself to be carried. Mainly because she felt no harm from them.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the room, Frankenstein and Dracula's friends were left gobsmacked at witnessing such a weird scene.

"Shouldn't we do anything?" Murray whispered, as if he was afraid that they would get beaten if heard.

"Are you sure you want to help?" Frankenstein replied with doubt while pointing his finger towards the three women, specifically towards Elsa, the renowned Ice Queen of Antarctica.

"Yeah, I'll pass. I think Mavis can handle her just fine. She's an adult now, haha." Murray quickly downed his glass of Bug Wine.

"I see nothing." Meanwhile, the others were also the same, especially Griffin as he noticed that the stare that he got from the three women was mixed with disgust and slight anger. He doesn't know the reason why but being stared at by them was enough to scare him shitless.

"Where are you going, Drac?" Jin's mouth curved upward as he could feel the jealousy in Dracula's current attitude.

'Heh, so no matter if it's human or not, he's still jealous that his daughter is being stolen by a man.' Jin shook his head and said to himself. He can't blame Dracula though. If he was in the same place and he sees his daughter being close with another man, Jin would definitely suddenly have the urge to punch the lights out of that man.

Although it's not right for the father especially the daughter, could you really blame the fathers for.being overprotective with their daughters who they have taken care of and raised for years, not to mention Dracula who took care of Mavis for 118 years.

What's different though was how fathers treat their sons. It's like they treat them as the younger version of themselves.

Back to the current situation, they arrived at the large hall where countless tables were unorganized.

"We'll be fixing this hall." Dracula grumpily answered, his shoulders slacked off.

"Oh come on, Dracles." Jin approached Dracula's side and called him by the nickname that he gave him while putting his arms over his shoulders.

"Tell me what's the problem. Is it about earlier?" Jin asked. Wanting for confirmation.

"...." Although Dracula doesn't want to reveal what he currently feels, seeing the knowing look on Jin's face, he knew he can't hide it anymore.

"...Sigh, yes. I was wondering if I still have a place in Mavis's heart. Maybe he has already forgotten about me." Dracula vented, he even forgot that they're supposed to fix the hall here to prepare the party as he slumped off on the ground.

Jin sighed and sat beside him.

"You know it's not like that, Dracles. What you're seeing is a sign of maturity. She's getting old and she won't stay as your little princess for as long as you want. Time is indeed a hurtful fellow. But we can't deny that without its existence, the world wouldn't exist." Jin patted his shoulders and continued.

"What I'm trying to say is that you don't have to worry about Mavis forgetting about you. Tell me, do you still have your father, Vlad in your heart?"

"Of course, he's my father, I wouldn't forget about him." Dracula raised his left eye brow and answered quickly.

"And there goes your answer." Jin smirked and said.

"Oh..." Dracula absentmindedly nodded his head in realization.

Outside the halls, Martha just finished having her friendly chat with her friends when she accidentally stumbled on her daughter being carried by Tigress along with Rapunzel and Elsa.

Cautious as she doesn't truly know about them, Martha squinted her eyes at them and asked.

"What are you three doing with my daughter? Drop her down now." Martha threatened, her maternal instincts taking over to protect her daughter.

"Huh? Oh, hi mom." Mavis peeked from Tigress's side and when she saw her mother she happily waved her hand in greeting.

"Mom?" Tigress, Rapunzel and Elsa all muttered in unison, they quickly realized that they were being misunderstood.

Tigress carefully dropped Mavis back down on the ground in order to not escalate the misunderstanding.

"Please don't misunderstand, we just wanted to have a talk with her." Rapunzel stepped forward and said.

"About what?" Martha raised her eye.brow and asked again, this time her cautiousness slowly reduced.

"About Jin." Tigress advertently revealed.

"Jin? You guys know about Jin?" Instead of Martha, it was Mavis who asked.

Seeing that Mavis seemed interested in what they were supposed to talk about, Martha sighed in relief. If ever they were here to harm her daughter, she would definitely not hesitate to fight then with everything she got just to protect her.

"I see that yo-."

She failed to finish her sentence when they all heard a weird air noise outside the hotel.

In fact, they aren't the only ones who heard it, in fact everyone in the hotel also heard the weird noise outside.

There's only one question running in their minds.

What is that noise?
