Chapter 17 - grandchildren -

It's been some years now that has passed, geni was 5 years old now while her brother zatsu was barely 3.

With some new arrivals, Igneel and Ethe had Triplets on their first try, they were happy parents to 3 four year old girls who they all took after their mother. To say less, they would disobey Ethe and turn their apartment upside down. But when Igneel came back from a long day of work as an employee for fairy tail to not miss out on his three childrens childhoods. They would behave and almost even kiss him constantly. Their names were Lucky, Lila, and Katy.

Liddan and Gine had married after 3 years of dating since they wanted to start over and do things slowly. They enjoyed each other's company as they traveled to new places, and completed hard missions. Along the way Gine had found herself pregnant as they decided to end their traveling to settle down now. They had two sweet boys who took after Liddan in both looks and personalities. They were identical twins so they both looked the same.. the only difference was their eye color which Giddian had gold eyes, and Louis had black eyes. They were 2 years old, and would cry for their papa or mama whenever they had to go on missions.

As it came down to the final four siblings of the Dragneels, only 3 had moved out. The twins, lina and luxe decided to go to a special academy overseas that had given both sisters scholarships to become great celestial wizards. Natsu and Lucy cried as they sent their daughters off but were proud at how far they were going.

Leia had been dating from time to time. She took random missions as well as she really didn't know where she was in life and was going to do. She wasn't interested in starting a family like her other siblings and wasn't focused in advancing her knowledge on magic. She moved out as she rented a house nearby natsu's and Lucy's home as she focused on getting to know herself more.

-(Flashback)-

Finally, jue was the only one not wanting and not being able to move out…

He had dated a girl he met back when they went to wessilland, he had fallen deep in love with the girl as he knew right away she was his Ms. Right.

He told his mother about her as he was preparing to have her introduced to his parents. He was left standing at the train station all day waiting, and waiting and waiting. It had turned out she had been two timing him and played with his feelings to take advantage of him. He found it hard for the next few months to find any motivation to keep going after his betrayal as natsu and Lucy were devastated their son would only nibble on pieces of his meals they would bring to him.

After what seemed 9 months, while everyone had gone out of the house except for jue.. the woman had left a basket at the dragneel residence without carrying much if jue had heard or not. Jue was sleeping when he heard a constant cry from his window echo through his dreams as he felt a strange sudden urge to live, move, and protect.

He ran down the stairs as he opened the door to see a new born baby boy left for dead in a basket with his umbilical cord still attached. Jue had lost concessions after that as he woke up to find himself cradling the new born in the living room with his father coaching him out of his trance he was in.

"It's okay jue.. let me carry the baby for a second would ya? You trust me right?"

*natsu noticed that his son jue had heard him as he held his stance with open arms. Jue was scared.. he didn't know what was happening so at that moment he trusted his father and mother who would never betray him..*

He handed the baby to his father, as natsu carried the baby looking at his face first. Natsu smiled sweetly as he grinned and showed lucy the poor thing.

Lucy had called wendy when they had arrived home because they found a bloody basket at their doorway which looked like someone was injured. Wendy carried the new born next as she began to clean him up and nip his umbilical cord and checking his health making the baby cry.

*jue felt like he was going to lose unconsciousness again but felt his father hold him back? He was confused why his dad would restrict him, but when he looked at a mirror hanged on the wall.. he had seen that he was in his demon form and looked very anxious.. *

"Shh shh shh, it's okay son.. they are only checking the baby… stay away for a few more moments and you can carry your son back…"

"My son?.."

*jue was so lost as he lost count of how many months it's been since he last saw the girl he had met as he began crying… he hugged his father in despair as he could hear the baby his father told him it was his 'son' cry… it made him feel anxious and angry because they were hurting his son..*

"Yes, it's your son jue.. he has your eyes jue.. and haha he got my hair.. he looks strong.."

*natsu cried with his son as he tried changing the subject to distract his son… in reality the umbilical cord had been infected and Wendy had to heal his infection while the new born was placed on a blanket with no clothes so Wendy can pinpoint his source of the infection… she managed to cut off his umbilical cord but was having a hard time focusing while the baby wailed and moved so much.*

"Yeah dad??.. when did I have my son?… I don't remember having a son.."

*natsu cried now as he held his sons jue head to his shoulder trying to share the burden of the truth. The truth was that the woman jue had met was a sadistic woman who drugged her victims. She was also part of a dark guild who used women to conceive powerful offsprings to brainwash them into killing machines. Of course, jue was one of her 'dogs' as she had called them. But she didn't know about jue's ability to use demon magic to transform, which he had no control over when he was hypnotized with the drugs that he had ended up rapping the sadistic woman. She feared him now and was the reason she had decided to abandon him, that's before finding out she had a little 'devil' offspring of his that she was not allowed to abort when her bosses found out what the child could be used for if they could somehow train them to become a killing machine. The woman was locked up for months as she watched in horror the pregnancy continued perfectly before managing to escape and had hunted down where jue lived… she made the crazy decision to cut her abdomen open on the front porch as she pulled out the 9 month old new born out of her and placed him in a basket that had the laundry Lucy had forgotten outside. The woman tried leaving afterwards but died in the woods after being eaten by wolves. The baby had been born still-born but somehow had his little fighting spirit to breath in his own and began to cry for anything and anyone for help. And that's when jue opened the door as he saw the bloody scene before him as he transformed into his demon form and had gone into 'demon daddy mode'. Like natsu when Nashi was born, jue had a strong fatherly bond to his child regardless if he knew it was his or not… it was a instinct he couldn't ignore.*

"Yes jue, he was born today.. congratulations son.. you have a son to live for now, so please live and become strong for him. *sob* he needs you!"

*natsu finished his pep talk as Wendy finally cleaned the new born and healed him. She handed the baby back to natsu who then showed jue how to carry his new born son correctly.*

"Here, carry him.. he's waiting for you jue.."

*jue saw the pink haired new born look at him with big black eyes. The baby was fascinated looking at his fathers blurry vision of blonde hair and disfigured body blobs. The baby observed as jue began talking to him.*

"Hello… I'm your daddy.. hehe… nice to meet you.. natsu.."

*jue decided that his sons name would be the name of the person he looked up to the most which was his father. And also because the baby looked more like his father then him … this made jue laugh as he cried happy tears for the first time in months. Lucy cupped her mouth as she watched her son come back to life as he sat their talking to his offspring.*

"Don't worry luce, he still has us to show him how to care for his new son.. and I think this will be a good way for him to finally start healing Lucy.."

*natsu hugged Lucy as Lucy agreed and they both sat together watching the scene unfold.*

This was 1 year ago as jue finally healed from his trauma and toxic relationship he found himself too late in… his son 'natsu' had saved his life that day…
