Pesta tahun baru yang sangat mencekam dipenuhi oleh banyak sekali orang - orang yang mengerikan dari dunia baru. Shin tiba - tiba ditarik bajunya oleh seseorang ke suatu gang kecil keluar dari jalan jalan yang dipenuhi orang - orang yang tengah melakukan pemujaan. Setelah ditarik, dia melihat seorang perempuan usia sebaya kelihatannya, bernama Kana. Ia memiliki rambut merah tembaga yang cukup memukau.  Kana memperkenalkan dirinya sebagai salah satu orang yang tertinggal di dunia busuk ini. Kana membawa Shin menuju ke sisa - sisa orang yang masih ada di dunia ini. Mereka akan bersama - sama menguak tempat yang menjadi awal mula dari bencana. Dia pun berjalan mengikutinya ke sebuah gorong - gorong  bawah tanah yang sudah agak kusam karena tidak terawat dengan baik. Mereka berjalan sesaat hingga akhirnya menemui sebuah jalan yang sangat gelap tanpa penerangan apa pun. Kana menyuruhnya untuk mengikutinya dengan memegang tangannya sembari berjalan perlahan. Dia masuk ke dalam kegelapan tersebut bersamanya. Kana lalu menyalakan cahaya ketika mereka berjalan cukup lama lalu berhenti. Mereka sampai ke sebuah lubang besar yang agak gelap dengan sebuah tangga kayu yang mengarah ke bawah. Tempat itu benar - benar gelap dan tersembunyi, tak mungkin orang - orang luar mengetahuinya. Elden Ring : a Tarnished of No Renown (Taking a break)

"Arise now, ye Tarnished! Ye dead who yet lives!" This will be a fanfic of mine on Elden Ring, following the perspective of a player Tarnished named Sigurd. I will be giving my own perspective (in first person) as well as my own theories in the lore of Elden Ring. Given how vagued the lore of this game is, I will try my best at staying lore accurate while adding in details of my own. As for Melina in the story, she will be getting a perspective of her own as well as some side story for her. I find that she lacks a role in the main game's story so I wanted give her more of a role in it, even if it's fabricated from my own understanding of the story and her character. As for the combat, well.... let's just say I'm not a big fan of the combat from the original game so I'm not going to make the Tarnished character fight by rolling around like a idiot. Instead, he will be given different defensive maneuvers besides just rolling around.... which might resembles Sekiro's combat in some ways because Deflection will be the primary defense here instead of rolling around. With all the information out of the way, let me as the author drop something here.... I highly recommend you to read this with Elden Ring's background music, especially during boss fights. I want to capture not just the exposition of Elden Ring, but also the emotions and feelings that it made me feel.
