The Girl

Darkness, darkness was all Diedrich could see; it seemed as if he was in an empty void floating around for all eternity. The flow of time was non-existent, it could have been a minute or a thousand years, yet Diedrich couldn't tell, he felt as if he was in a fluid like liquid, that was cold to the touch.

Just when Diedrich felt he was losing his mind he heard a voice

Ding " completed transition preparations of world Tellus(earth) to world Regea"

" Re materialization of inhabitants of world Tellus(earth) complete"

" Sending inhabitants of Tellus( earth) to trail zones"

" Categorization of inhabitants to trial zones has started"

" Categorization by age"

" Inhabitants will now be send"

When Diedrich heard these notifications in his head he definitely thought he had lost his mind, however the next second he saw a blinding light and when he regained his senses he saw a tree.

"Huh where am I" as Diedrich sat up he looked around and noticed that his surroundings had completely changed. He was no longer in his hometown, he was in a forest.

As Diedrich stood up he soon noticed that there were people scattered around him all over the forest, each about 4 meters apart.

Everyone was wearing the same brown coarse cloth with sandals, when Diedrich looked at himself he also appeared to be wearing them. Diedrich saw that the people around him were also beginning to stand up and looking at their surroundings.

Many people looked frightened as if they had been kidnapped while others looked confused, there was also one person who looked strangely excited.

As Diedrich further looked around he saw that his brother and sister weren't with him anymore. Diedrich immediately got worried and quickly searched through the crowd of people while calling for his brother and sister's name.

It seemed other people were also doing the same, however the only thing Diedrich encountered were people who seemed around his age, it then hit Diedrich "why do all these people look the same age as me?", as Diedrich looked around more and more he confirmed his suspicion the people around him where all his age although he wasn't completely sure yet.

Diedrich quickly approached a girl with blond hair paired with piercing blue eyes who was standing close to where he was, the girl looked scared probably because she was just brought to a strange place and didn't know where she was.

As Diedrich approached the girl he saw the fearful look in her eye's and understood she was scared so he approached her more slowly and put on a fake smile to put her at ease and said "Hi I'm Diedrich, is it okay if I ask you a question?"The girl got even more scared as Diedrich's fake smile was incredibly creepy.

Ever since Diedrich came to England he became an introvert and didn't talk to a lot of people, except his family, due to this his social skills became poor.

The girl got more nervous as Diedrich approached and quickly nodded her head, indicating it was alright that he asked her a question, Diedrich saw that and immediately his fake smile turned genuine, making the girl feel more calm. Diedrich then said " How old are you?".

The girl was a bit surprised but answered "17, but why do you want to know?" she asked a with a bit of curiosity

Diedrich replied by saying " Just look at the people around you"

The girl didn't really understand Diedrich's reply and looked around, she soon noticed that everyone looked the same age as them and said a bit surprised " eh, are we all the same age?" The girl had not noticed this before as the mental stress from being sent to a strange place still affected her, however now she was a bit calmer and became more perceptive.

Diedrich replied saying "I think so".

As Diedrich had asked the question he said to her "Well, thankyou", and turned around to leave to look around more and search for clues about his brother and sister's whereabouts, as he took a step the girl quickly asked "Ehm, can I go with you?"

Diedrich was a bit stunned and normally felt uncomfortable being around people he wasn't familiar with, however he saw that she was scared and said "sure". The girl exhaled in relief, as she didn't want to be alone in this kind of situation, she quickly stood next to Diedrich and asked "what are you doing now?"

Diedrich replied " just looking around trying to find my family and finding some sort of clues to figure out where we exactly are".

The girl nodded in understanding. As Diedrich and the girl walked around, the girl was initially very tense and did not talk much, Diedrich was much the same but after a while they both got more comfortable and talked about their experiences being sucked up by the huge black hole and what it could mean.

The girl thought it was the wrath of the earth for humans polluting it, while Diedrich thought that it was something dimensional, they also talked about the messages that appeared in their head, and how it sounded like a robotic system voice, although they both couldn't exactly remember what it said.

Soon after exploring a bit of the forest they discovered that the trees were all mostly the same. The only difference was some trees were much larger than others and moss covered the ground in some places, also almost everywhere they looked they saw other people.

Diedrich and the girl noticed that there were also a few strange large holes that were about 3 meters long and wide and had a slanted pathway that went into the ground like a cave or some sort of mineshaft, Diedrich and the girl didn't know how deep the passageways went as they did not go inside, both getting bad bad omens from the place.

As time went on people started grouping up. Grouping up provided a sense of comfort and safety to people, humans were also social creatures so it was only natural.

Diedrich saw that groups were being made, however he didn't want to join any groups as he was more comfortable being alone, and the girl didn't want to stay with strangers so they kept exploring together.

As they were exploring Diedrich soon heard someone yell "Emma" it was a girl, with hazel brown hair and sharp blue eyes who came from a group of about 40 people, she was quickly walking towards them, Diedrich first thought she might have seen someone else who was close to them however when he saw the girl that was walking with him stop, he then finally thought "Sh*t I forgot to ask her name",

The girl who traveled with Diedrich was apparently called Emma, the girl then responded saying "Sophie is that you" as she walked towards the other girl, confirming to Diedrich that her name was Emma.

Emma and the girl called Sophie started talking, they were apparently cousins who were the same age and were on good terms with each other, regularly talking and messaging each other via social media.

Sophie noticed Diedrich next to Emma and asked "who is this?" Emma then remembered that she forgot to introduce Diedrich and immediately said "This is Diedrich, we have been exploring the forest together since we were brought to this place".

Sophie looked at Emma in surprise and said with a smile "oh you joined up with him even though you were strangers, normally your very very shy"

Sophie's sudden remark caused Emma to be surprised and look at Diedrich's face who was also revealing a slight look of surprise, Emma then immediately retorted Sophie's words and said "N. No I'm NOT"

Diedrich and Sophie both smirked at her answer, Sophie then changed the topic and asked them "Do you guys want to join our group"

Emma said "yes" immediately however Diedrich said " I prefer to be on my own"

This caused the atmosphere to be a bit awkward and Sophie responded with "oh okay"

Emma then said to Diedrich "are you sure?, it safer being with more people"

Diedrich then said "yes, i'm more of the lone wolf type '', as Diedrich was an introvert he wouldn't feel at ease in a group full of strangers, he also felt that a group would tie him down and he wouldn't be able to explore and find his family as quickly as he was able to now.

Emma nodded in understanding.

Diedrich then said still a bit embarrassed for not asking about her name " I guess this is where we separate paths, stay safe"

Emma also said " stay safe"

Diedrich then said goodbye to Sophie and Emma and began exploring the woods again.
