Stunned To Speechlessness

Azaroth would get furious at some of the Alphas back then because they did a sloppy job of keeping them in check and some werewolves had destroyed entire villages and towns due to their uncontrollable lust for violence on the days of the full moon.

Of course, he had prevented some of these occurrences but he couldn't be everywhere at the same time.

--

Lectures ended for the day in school again and everywhere turned lively once more with students moving about the place, discussing various topics.

Azaroth walked across the corridors of one of the college buildings. Unlike everyone who was tensed about the upcoming papers by month-end Azaroth was unbothered by this.

He didn't even take a single notebook home. He always kept them in the lockers and he never actually jotted anything down in class.

It was pointless for him to read and study because he had all this knowledge at the back of his head but there were still times when he'd read, just to refresh the feels he got from immersing himself in a world of letters and words.

As he walked towards the entrance a familiar scent suddenly drifted into his nose again.

Azaroth instantly turned around but it was too late.

"Jonathan," A sweet feminine voice resounded from behind him.

Azaroth couldn't pretend like he didn't hear her this time so he paused his footsteps and turned around.

"Where are you going?" Felicia who happen to be the owner of this voice asked when arrived in front of him.

She had a suspicious look on her face after throwing out this question which Azaroth could see clearly.

"I forgot something back in class," Azaroth responded.

"Ok let's go back together to get it," She said with a hearty smile.

"You don't have to worry about it. I'll go get it myself," Azaroth responded before turning around once again.

Felicia looked down at this point before speaking again, "You're avoiding me aren't you?" She questioned with a crestfallen expression.

Azaroth paused his footsteps as he heard that.

"Hmm... Why do you think so?" He slowly turned around while asking.

"First off I never see you after class. You always disappear the instant any class ends, second, I leave you a bunch of text messages but you never reply to any of them, third, I know you definitely heard me calling out to you in the pharmacy last week but you still drove off, fourth, I have asked you a couple of times for us to get coffee together or meet up to study but you're always coming up with excuses, fifth..." As Felicia got to this point, Azaroth cut her off.

"Ok, you made your point...s," He voiced out while looking down to stare at her frustrated face.

"You're correct, I am avoiding you just like I always avoid everyone..." He answered truthfully causing Felicia to stand in place with a conflicted look.

They both stood there for a few moments staring at each other without saying a word.

"Now that you've gotten the confirmation you needed, you can give it a rest," Azaroth broke the silence and turned around to leave.

Step! Step! Step!

He started walking forward when...

"No," He suddenly heard Felicia's voice out from behind.

Azaroth paused his footsteps with a surprised expression on his face. This was the first time he was showing any form of expression on his face for a very long time.

He heard Felicia's footsteps from behind as she walked towards him and hugged him from behind.

Gasp~

The people in the vicinity stopped moving and turned to stare in the direction of Azaroth and Felicia.

"I don't know what may have happened in the past, or what you may have gone through that made you turn out like this and frankly you don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to but... your eyes tell me just how lonely you are. Even though you don't say a word, your eyes speak volumes on how much you need a friend," Felicia spoke softly as she continued holding onto Azaroth from behind.

He stood in place with conflicted expressions displayed on his face for some time before he felt Felicia release him from her embrace.

Azaroth turned around to see her smiling sweetly at him.

"No matter how much you try pushing me away and avoiding me, I will keep trying to be your friend..." She raised her hand and stroked Azaroth's face gently.

"You've saved me more than once but your eyes suggest that you also need some kind of saving as well so at least you can try to see this as repayment... I want to be a person that can take your mind off things and help you understand that no matter how bad life gets it will always be better when there's someone genuine you can open up to..." After saying this Felicia turned around to leave.

At this point, the busybody students in the vicinity had already visually recorded what they had witnessed here and started posting videos online.

Felicia saw these actions but she didn't care. She walked out of the building and met the rest of the girls before they left to a nearby cafe together.

Azaroth still stood in place for a few moments before turning around. Those who had witnessed the moment he had just shared with Felicia had no idea what was running through his mind but many assumed he must be in cloud nine by now.

Almost every guy in college would break down if Felicia had a conversation with them, yet they witnessed her touching Azaroth's face. The fanboys began to rage wishing they were in his place.

Some of them recognized Azaroth to be the same guy who was her partner during the history project and assumptions started flying around.

Azaroth went home deep in thoughts. He couldn't deny that Felicia's words had touched him and a part of him really wanted to give in and just let her in while the other part kept saying, 'stay away, it's not gonna end well for anyone,'

He couldn't believe that after all these years, a young eighteen-year-old would cause him to think deeply like this.

After thinking about the whole scenario for a while Azaroth just sighed and decided to stop overthinking.

'I'll just go with the flow... whatever happens, happens,' He said internally.

-Hours later

"Oh my god, Feli it's all over social media,"

Within Felicia's room, one of the girls screeched loudly.

"I don't care," Felicia responded with a dismissive expression while laying on her side of the bed with a blissful look.

"Girl it looked like you were gonna kiss him," Avery voiced out from the side while watching the video on her mobile.

The caption displayed there was, 'Felicia and partner display public affection,'

This had already sparked dating rumors across the college by now as it spread very fast.

"Come on it was just a friendly gesture, why are you all making a fuss over it," Felicia voiced out with a chuckle.

"Except we know it wasn't..." Nicole responded causing all the girls to burst out into laughter.

"Tch whatever," Felicia muttered before taking her phone from the side and started typing.

«"Hey, how is it going?"»

She typed this out and sent it to Azaroth.
