hard times

Foggy eyes,clogged mind and a sharp headache all worked together to create a resonating pain in Ethan's body. He opened his eyes and shook his head amny times to remain focused as he managed to pick up the details of his surrounding which flooded his head with recollection of what happened this caused another sharp burst of pain to go through his head.

"What the fuck is that stone?"he asked no one in particular but instead he got a reply

[Congratulations, you have gained the aqua system]

"A system?"

"What the fuck is a system?"Ethan asked again as another message appeared in front of him

[The system is a treasure that was left behind by the aqua god designed to help his successor in all endeavors] the message read

"Hahaha, has the whole world gone crazy or am I the crazy one?"

"First a glowing stone that knocked the shit out of me then a system followed by all this gibberish about a successor"

"If the world ain't crazy then I must be the crazy one" he concluded as he got up and made to go but noticed that the screen is still there

Oh right,how do I get this thing away?"

[Just call dismiss in your mind and system to summon the system]

He dismissed the system and made his way home, going past the guards at the entrance to the hunt clan base as they welcomed him with jeers and mocking snickers some even going as far as calling him names

"Trash"

"Waste of air"

But to all of this Ethan didn't even react, he knew better that the way to shut these guys is to provw to them that he really was not what they call him

"Ethan" a female voice called him in the distance, looking over one could see a teenage girl with bright shiny eyes,well matured curves with a perfect oval face her body structure combined with the air of elegance with which she carried herself all came together to paint an alluring picture this girl is melena, the daughter of the clan head. A single look from her was enough to silence the guards as she hurried towards the departing figure of Ethan

"Ethan, where have you been?"

"I was about to tell father to organize a search party for you" she said but it was as if there was no one there that she was talking to as Ethan just walked on as if he didn't hear a word of what she said

"Ethan don't you dare ignore me you know I would be worried but you still went out and stayed out late knowing that Roland is still out to find trouble with you and now you are ignoring me that's really cruel" she said as she feigned crying

"And why would you care about trash like me?" Ethan finally stopped and looked her in the eye

She bit down on her lips before she replied

"Who said you are trash, I know you are just going through hard times and you'll get over it soon"

Ethan laughed maniacally before looking at her, hate in his eyes but the hate is not directed towards her but at the whole world

"Oh hard times, get over it you're talking like you know anything about what I've been facing when you'd sit down in your father's palace all day with maids and butlers taking care of your need and you'd now come before me to talk about hardship"

"Do you know how many times I cried wishing my parents were still alive while you are being showered with love and everything you ever wanted when your father couldn't protect my parents when he was the one that coerced them to go on that hunt with him, you know I'm starting to think that your father just wanted me to experience hardship in this life maybe he had a grudge with my parents and wanted to take it out on me or else why would I still be trapped in the outer circle and get bullied everyday that even lowly gaurds have the guts to mock me"

"But you know father really cared or else you won't be living on the grounds of the hunt clan since it was your mother that was a member of the clan

"That might be true but with the merit my father earned within the clan is more than enough for him to be called a member of the family after all he had done for this clan protecting it from both internal and external aggression"

Seems your father had forgotten so easily the time my father protected him when he was about to be killed during Augustus revolt, when my father single handedly repelld a beast horde that threatened to ruin the whole of actil town. Look at you with the constant use of elixirs and mrdicinal baths you have broken past the aqua rookie stage and are already a noble while I have not gone through my first evolution yet,you think I do not know that your father got jealous of my father's character and strength that he plotted to bring him to his death duringthe so called fake hunting expedition"

This was the last straw that broke the camel's back as Flora moved swiftly and slapped him hard across the face, the slap of an aqua noble to an aqua that is not even a rookie has a great effect as Ethan was sent flying from that one slap, his face was swollen and he couldn't talk properly

"How dare you talk about my father, your clan head like that, I'm just letting you get off freely or else I would have reported you to the punishment hall for this a t of slander and treason" she said before storming off in another direction without looking back.
