The Two-Headed Lynx

The Mist-Wood Forest is famous in Grifil, for getting lost and the den of the most savage Magical Beasts and Monsters. The deeper you go into it; the more powerful and savage beasts appear. Despite the dangers, she needs to go into the forest to pick up firewood and search for some more food. Upon entering we can see a misty forest full of greenery, with sounds of small birds and beasts. Although it's a beautiful forest from the outside zone, it's become dangerous upon entering each zone inside the forest. Beasts of higher intelligence rule each zone inside; some can speak human language. They are usually known as Monarch.

Higher intelligent beasts are eight which share the boundaries within the large forest. Due to their high mana density lesser beasts never try to reach their boundaries and some try to get protection under the Beast Monarch. However, due to some territory battle between two Monarch beasts which leads to the defeat of the Monarch of South which brought big chaos in power balance and some lesser beasts are trying to occupy the place. However, entering the forest is already dangerous. Due to the absence of one monarch, entering the forest can result in death.

Even in this circumstance, Elsha doesn't care at all. It is like a daily chore for her to enter the forest and collect needed wood and food. Even if a beast appears she uses her basic combat magic which she studied from her mother's old books. Due to her high mana blessings, sometimes even base level is almost hard for her to control its effect radius. But regular magics are not a problem for her due to daily practices.

"I appreciate beast friends to stay away from me. If you don't wanna get hurt~~," she said in a sweet voice.

She jumped through the fallen tree, singing a sweet song and the birds were singing with her, the trees were waving because of the wind and the leaves were falling. It was like the forest was welcoming her.

"Hmmm… there are fewer resources than last time, I guess it's because the activity of the beast became high around here", Elsha told to herself. "I guess we need to enter further inside for food".

She walks further inside the forest, and after some walking, she reaches an area full of apples and Berries due to abundant food resources there are so many small herbivorous beasts like one-horned Rabbits, rainbow deer, and so on as we can imagine a paradise.

"Was I always this lucky? Skye, help me pick some. Let's fill our carriers" Elsha said with an enthusiastic face.

Skye and Elsha began to collect the fruits and twigs and filled their carriers and she got ready to say bye. suddenly one of the baby one-horned rabbit approaches her. Normally One-horned rabbits never approach humans due to their behavior. One-horned rabbit's skin can be used for making dresses and cloaks. Because of this fear, these rabbits never approach humans. It was because of her high pure mana blessing, that spirits and small beasts attracted towards her, because pure mana represents how pure one's mind is.

"What happened little one," Elsha asked. The little creature with a cute voice cuddled her. "Okay I will accompany you sometime".

But suddenly every creature surrounding the area ran like they saw some monster. The baby rabbit hides behind Elsha and shivers. Elsha noticed the roar of a beast coming from the way she had come. She saw a big shadow coming from behind the tree. It approached Elsha, it was the two-headed Lynx. The two-headed Lynx is known as the monarch of the northwest and was responsible for the defeat of the Monarch of the South. While it appeared before Elsha, the right head was sleeping and the other head of Lynx growled at her.

"Now I get why there were no resources on our way, you were the culprit" Without a little fear Elsha began to accuse the Lynx of the hard work she had to do to find the new resource area. The Lynx looked at her with a confused face and thought 'What's this stupid girl saying'.

"Hey human girl, do you have no fear" the Lynx asked.

"So, you can speak then why didn't you say anything until now" Elsha didn't back off a bit.

"You were speaking all kinds of rubbish so why do I need to answer those".

"Ha….. what I told is a fact, hmph how dare you say I said rubbish,".

The Lynx began to lose its patience. "Hey little girl- "before the Lynx could finish his sentence, "I am not a little girl," Elsha said.

The Lynx who had already lost his patience said "Why does the prey I hunted have this much arrogance in front of me?"

With confusion, Elsha looked at both sides and said "Prey? What are you talking about? I didn't see anything". Then she noticed the little rabbit," I will not allow you to eat my little buddy" she said. Lynx with a mad expression "ARE YOU AN IDIOT?". After 2 seconds of silence Elsha with a surprised face "Ehhhhhh...…. by prey means me?".

"How can you eat a little girl," Elsha said. "A moment ago, you said you are not a little girl," Lynx said. Enough chit-chat, prepare to die." Hoo…. then you have to try hard to catch me" Elsha said smugly.
