Hyuga Incident

AN: Sorry for not uploading yesterday. I've been reading most of the comments and opinions (Most of which i kinda agree with). And now i'm kinda confused on how to go on with the story. I might be a little irregular with uploading chapters but i'll still try and upload one every day. This will only be for a little while until i figure things out on my end. Sorry

Chapter 42: Hyuga Incident

After making it back to his assigned room. Rai quickly turned on his presence concealment and stood by the exit towards the Hyuga Residence.

(AN: I'm just gonna call it Stealth from now on. Presence Concealment is a real handful)

Rai waited for what seemed to be hours but there was no one leaving from the building. He was starting to think that maybe they won't be attempting to go through with this after all, but just when he was about to go back to bed. He decided to check whether everyone was in the rooms or not and as he suspected, 2 of the rooms belonging to Mazui and Warui were empty. Rai was stunned, he was sure that no one left the building but then it hit him, the ones who came back with them to the rooms might have been clones.

'Fuck. Why didn't I think of that? But, when did they even switch out with clones? Damn it, I let down my guard.'

Rai quickly made a clone to inform his grandpa about this and sprinted towards the Hyuga Residence. He made it there in a couple of minutes and saw lots of people running around in a panic. At this time Rai knows that they have already abducted Hinata and now he can only hope to find them first to somehow salvage the situation. Rai took off full speed using his Black Lighting Cloak towards the Kumo border.

As he was sprinting by, he saw that he had just passed Hiashi who also was running full speed tracking down the kidnappers. Rai paid no heed and just passed him by. He continued to sprint after the two.

'Fuck. These idiots. What the hell were they even thinking? Even if they do get away, the rest of us would be sitting ducks in Konoha and we wouldn't even know this happened if I didn't check. Argh. Fuck it. I'll just beat the crap out of them first.'

After a few minutes, he finally came across them, they were also running full speed knowing full well that people would be after them. As Rai got closer he heard

"Where's the hell is the other team? They were supposed to be somewhere around here. The longer we take to find them, the longer it'll take for us to get back." – Mazui

"I know. Dammit. That damn elder. We can't turn back now. We can only hope to find them and go back. As long as there is no evidence, we should be fine." – Warui

'So, that's what they were planning. Still kinda stupid.'

Rai soundlessly went behind Warui who was carrying Hinata on his shoulder in a sack. He pulled the sack away from him and punched him on the back of the head hard. And just as quickly kicked Mazui and tripping him. He then went on to knock him out as well.

'Now the tricky part. How the hell am I supposed to defuse the situation? Grandpa already knows about this since my clone has informed him. Hopefully, he will have done something to control the situation.'

Rai took Hinata out of the sack, she still seems to be asleep. He created two clones to carry the two idiots and started running back to Konoha. On the way back, he came across Hiashi who understandably was kind of pissed off.

"You Bastards. Is this what you were planning the whole time?" – Hiashi yells the moment he sees Rai

"Calm down. Hiashi-san. I'm bringing her back to you." – Rai

Rai then points to the two idiots and says. "But this is our fault. And we can discuss this after heading back. I have informed Grandpa about this and he should already be at the Hyuga Residence waiting for me." Rai then hands Hinata over to Hiashi.

Hiashi still is trembling in rage but he eventually just turns around and heads back to Konoha. Rai follows behind with the two clones carrying the two idiots. All the while formulating plans in his head. Rai finally sighs 'What a mess!'

Before long, they made it back to the Hyuga Residence where the Hyugas were surrounding Grandpa and the rest of the Kumo shinobis. Both parties were on edge, the only person who was relatively relaxed was Grandpa.

As we made it back there was a sigh of relief on both sides. Rai took the two of them and dumped them in front of Grandpa.

"Excellent work, Rai." – Grandpa smiles and ruffles Rai's hair.

Grandpa then turns towards Hiashi bows and says "I apologize for their actions, Hiashi-san. I should have kept a closer eye on them. I didn't expect they would dare to do something like this behind my back."

"An apology? That's it? I invited you people into my home and this is how you repay us? By kidnapping my daughter. Is this what you were planning on doing all along?" – Hiashi yells at us

"Sigh. I know you are angry and you have every right to be angry at us. But, so am I." – Grandpa unleashes a terrifying amount of chakra pressure on the surroundings.

"I am pissed off that two fucking idiots tried something like this behind my back on a diplomatic mission nonetheless. They will be punished for this. For now, let's head to the Hokage and find a solution to this. I am sure he should already be aware by now." – Grandpa

"A-alright. Let's do that." – Hiashi says with cold sweat running down his forehead.

Rai almost let out a chuckle seeing this happen. He was thinking so hard to figure out a solution and here his grandpa just shuts them up completely by pure force. They probably were under the impression that he was crippled or at least incapable of showing the same kind of might he was known for during the previous war.

'Wow, being unreasonable sure has its perks.'

But, this is not over and Rai knows it. It's in human nature to kick someone the moment they show weakness and now that we have admitted to our mistake they will use the moral high ground to spout some bullcrap and try to get maximum benefits. Fucking politics. Those damn elders will now come running to point fingers at us.

'Ugh. This is not how I envisioned things to happen. Tsk. At least, they didn't successfully abduct her and more so that the two idiots didn't die under the hands of Konoha. The situation is still salvageable.'

'Sigh. I should really stop trying to control every situation. This is super annoying to just change things to my liking and also expect things to not diverge from canon. Argh. Whatever, I won't be coming back here for the foreseeable future anyways.'

Grandpa instructs the two others to tie up Warui and Mazui and to take them back to the Kumo accommodation and wait there. Grandpa and Rai then left towards the Hokage Office.

We reached the office in a few minutes, but were told to wait for other people to arrive. Rai decided that it was better if he prepares some insurance just in case. He slyly bit his finger and transferred the blood in to the inventory and gave some orders to his clone hiding nearby.

The situation was starting to get annoying for Rai. So he decided to let the clone summon Yoru and be ready just in case the old coots think that they can push us around. Rai didn't really want to let people know about Yoru so early. She is after all his biggest trump card and the one with the highest combat potential.

'No use crying over spilled milk. But, if they think they can strong-arm us. They have another thing coming.' Smirks Rai

The moment we made it into the room we saw the annoying old faces of the civilian council, Homura Mitokado, Koharu Utatane. Also a few of the clan heads are present as well. The only notable absentees are Danzo and Uchiha Fugaku. Most of the other people of note seem to have made it even at this time of night.

They seem to be letting out all their Chakra pressure and a little bit of killing intent out at us the moment we entered the room. No doubt, trying to intimidate us. But, grandpa responds in kind and releases an even more terrifying amount of pressure on them.

'Well, this will be fun.'
