Weird

Michigan was home to Michigan Stadium, a stadium that would be where the tournament would take place. this was one of the few stadiums worldwide that wasn't damaged by the wild beast and on top of it being the largest stadium within the USA. It could hold over 100,000 people, making it the perfect place to hold the first-ever tournament within the USA. It had to be large and had to show the world just what cultivation could do to motivate people worldwide. it was also the perfect time for those sects to show their strength and draw people towards them.

Also, the United States was owned by no one. no king owned this land at this moment. so it was for the taking, which clan would take the title of nobility, and what family would rise to become known as the royal family?

But winning this tournament wouldn't mean instantly becoming king or anything, this was something that would take many years. but a ruler was needed to unite the people, many people would just not roll over and let someone rule over them.

With thousands of sects arriving in Michigan, there would of course be 10s of thousands of people taking part. just form the Grand Thunder Sect was going to have 4 people take part, among them being Zero, and Jane.

those larger sects would even have up to 10 sect disciples joining. luckily everyone could sign up online to enter the tournament and avoid waiting in a large line. they had done this long ago, so when they arrived all they had to do was simply wait for the tournament to begin.

"I wish I could take part." within a hotel, Hope said softly while looking outside of the hotel, looking at the stadium up ahead.

"you know the condition of your cultivation," I said calmly looking at my nails as Lily was cutting them for me. 

At my words, Hope lowered her head. She was breaking through the cultivation realm at an extremely fast speed. she was even using the lowest-grade cultivation art, this way although she wouldn't be the strongest, she could break through at an extremely fast speed. she was of course leaving behind an unstable foundation. but her main goal was to reach the nascent soul realm, comprehend a law and cripple her cultivation and cultivate all over again with the best possible talent. currently, she is at level 2 Qi refinement. but she would be considered as strong as a level 1 Qi refinement realm cultivator. 

"But the rewards are good, the money, items, and cultivation resources are all outstanding. all of the sects had pinched in to make the rewards worth wild." Hope said calmly while looking at Hope and Alex, only to get annoyed at how close the two were.

"Yeah, hopefully, Zero can win," I said with a yawn, but Hope shook her head.

"even if Zero is the sect master's disciple, he isn't the most impressive. from the sect of witches, Queen Witch has done everything he could do and more." Hope said softly, making my eyebrow raise. it raised even more when Lily nodded.

"Queen Witch is a masked woman who is at level 10 Qi gathering. She is Twain Cultivator... adding the fact she is a witch." Lily said with a knowing look, causing me to nod slightly. She knew I was zero, and knew I didn't bother to know others' information. instead, I would only go online to see sect disciples showing off their sect techniques.

"Plus, Zero is only at level 6 Qi Gathering. he doesn't have to worry about just the Queen Witch, there is the golden man. from Adam And Eve. he is said to have the purest bloodline of a human, to the point he glows golden. He is at level 10 Qi gathering as well." Lily explained while trying her best to cut the nail with the special nail clipper which could cut powerful cultivators' nails.

"There is the Dragon Son, the twin vampires, and the list just goes on. we would be lucky if Zero doesn't die." Hope said softly,

"but we have to watch and see if he can get past the elimination. I hear that there is a portal that would be opened." Lily asked softly, to which Hope and I raised an eyebrow

"I have been hanging out with Jane... sigh, you should have just asked her," Lily said with a roll of her eyes. to which I just shrugged slightly while looking at my nails

"You have smooth hands, i'm a bit jealous," Lily said softly, causing Hope to quickly run over to get my hands out of Lily's hands. She was already against Lily good will of wanting to do my nails, but not this.

"I'm going to leave and return home to watch Honey, you guys be safe and use this time to learn everything you can," I said calmly, ignoring Hope and looking at the time. I stood up, to which Hope hugged me.

"it's only going to be a week," I said softly, 

"I know... but I don't want to be apart from you again." She said weakly, at her words, I rubbed her head slightly. 

"but this is the best time for you to learn from experts and grow," I said to which Hope nodded slightly in understanding. letting me go, I headed off, Leaving Lily and Hope together in the room. I went to head off with the sect master.

"Do you think I would win?" I asked softly while sitting on the flying sword, which the sect master was flying. the sect master thought for a moment, before shaking his head.

"hard to say. your combat capability and those techniques you have created. you should be able to fight a half-step level 1 core formation realm. but then again, there are those at level 10 QI gathering who could fight a level 2 core formation realm cultivator. maybe if you have 2 breakthroughs before the tournament, but even then you risk showing off your true capability." the sect master said with a sigh, to which I smiled slightly

"by the way... are you not going overboard with hiding your true identity?" the sect master asked to which I sighed softly.

"Alex is a normal human with some basic capability, I want Hope to take the spotlight. Zero is no one, I have no interest in fame. I just want to regrow my business." I said softly, to which the sect master sighed softly, 

"What a weird twist of fate then," he said softly, causing me to look at him with a confused look. but he just smiled while not explaining a thing. at that, I just frowned and said nothing else. soon, I arrived at the sect where I went back home to do a few things, before making a clone.

Clone techniques were rare, but for those of the body path of cultivation, they were not that rare. they could take their life force and reshape it into a copy of themselves. what was rare was the Qi technique which could allow you to clone yourself,

What I used was a clone technique which allowed me to make a basic clone. it of course be weaker than myself. but it would be able to take over my life and run my business along with other stuff while Zero stepped out...

Later that night within the Stadium, countless sect disciples from all over the world sat in the countless seats, looking up ahead at the sect leaders from all over the world. there were weak sect leaders among them to powerhouses like the sect master of the Dragon Emperor sect, Adam and Eve sect, and Sect Of Witches.

In the seats, everyone sat within their group among their sects. among them was the Grand Thunder Sect, where there should have been 4 people, but Zero was missing.

"as you all might know already, we will be opening a gateway to another dimension. this dimension is special. time flows 10 times faster within. for the 5 days, you would all be there, only 12 hours would pass here." the sect master of the Blue Flame sect said calmly, this was the sect that took over Michigan, so out of respect he was the one who was going to speak since he was the host.

"within this dimension, it had been more than 200 years since Qi had arrived. this gave the wild beast a lot of time to adapt. but due to special rules of this dimension, only those wild beasts at level 1 core formation realm could be found. you have all sign the papers and know that there is a risk of death when entering this place, yes the badge we gave you allows you to remain within that world without getting kicked out, and its shattering would lead to the world sending you back... but it's all pointless if what comes back is a lifeless body." he said seriously, causing everyone to grow unease. he looked around for a moment, and seeing no one speaking up he continued 

"I will go over the conditions for winning, and how you would lose." He said calmly before going into deep detail. pretty much, it was a hunt. those who manage to get the highest point would be worthy of taking part in the tournament, 

there were only 256 spots in the tournament, so those lucky enough to gain points that would rank them at 256 and below shall take part in the tournament. if your badge is destroyed, you will not fail right away as 50% of your points will be taken by the person who eliminated you. if the remaining 50% is enough to keep you in the top 256, then you can still move on. 

there were no rules, although everything that would happen within the dimension would be shown to everyone outside. the badge had the added effect of allowing them to see what was happening.

everyone was allowed to work together, but the points would be divided evenly between everyone who worked together to get the points. 

so after everyone was given the information, the sect masters all worked together, using their Qi to create a wormhole in space-time. after which, sects were called to enter. since everyone would be randomly teleported upon entering this dimension, they had to enter together if they wished to be together.

"You took your time," Jane said seeing a man appearing from nowhere. those from the Grand Thunder sect all sized up this masked man, along with many others from other sects. after all, it was this masked man who led many geniuses worldwide to step out to show that they too could defeat wild beasts levels above them in strength. 

"I wanted to avoid drawing attention to myself." Zero said calmly, seeing the many eyes that were on him at that moment. yet he just stood there, his robs covering his body like a vampire.

"You're only at level 6 Qi gathering, don't slow us down." a young man said with a displeased look seeing how Jane seemed to know this guy. he was even more displeased when Zero ignored him,

This was of course Alex, he had no interest in playing with this young man. this young man was the person who Jane will marry soon. but clearly, Jane showing more interest in me than him led to him being jealous. being of the young generation, the concept of love wasn't new to him.

on that note, Jane and him were around the same age in their 20s. I was in my 30s which was a bit depressing. why couldn't I be younger? but I was a cultivator, so I had become younger and a bit more handsome. I could even live up to 1,000 years thanks to being a body and Qi cultivator. 

"Shut up, do not embarrass us," Jane said angrily seeing the young man was about to lash out. at her words, the young man went quiet and just sneered. at this, I just shook my head. I ignored this and simply used [the Almighty] to study the sect leaders before me. 

When we were called forward, we all entered through the gateway to another dimension. As we entered, our sense of space-time went chaotic, causing all of us to feel as if we would throw up.

Jane and the others opened their eyes to find themselves lying on the ground, with the only one among them standing being me.

"I will go on my own, I work best by myself," I said calmly while helping Jane up. Jane frowned slightly for a moment, she wanted to say they should stay together. but she would be lying if she said she didn't want to also go on her own, but she had to sit down and babysit.

"fine, but we have to meet up. keep your phone on." Jane said calmly, to which I nodded slightly. I had gotten a new phone, which didn't need stuff like those cellar towers, it instead released a Qi wave which would be picked up by another phone, of course, the further one was from each other, the less likely this Qi wave would reach them. but it had a range of 300 miles and even had a map that could show the location of another person's phone. 

"Wait, you're only at level 6 Qi gathering. you're strong, but things could get bad out there." A young man said calmly, unlike the first guy, this young man wasn't a member of their clan and was instead a talent who joined. he had been in the sect for a few months now, and was currently at level 8 Qi gather realm.

His name was David, he was a black young man. he was a nerd. the other guy was called Noah.

"You need not worry, just call me if you need my help," I said while stepping forward, disappearing with a flash of lightning. Noah who saw this, caused his pupils to shrink slightly, as that speed rivaled those at half-step Core formation. He was sure he was faster than me, but if they were on the same level, he wouldn't be sure

"let's also split up, but let's stay within a range of 1 mile," Jane said calmly, it would be annoying having to control her powers. thanks to Alex, she had learned to control her physique better but it was still not good enough. She wanted to take this time to improve her control.

'the best way to stack up points should be locating where a mass group of wild beasts is at.' I thought calmly, wild beasts gave different points depending on what cultivation they were at. level 1 body transformation realm wild beast would only give one 1 point. but those at level 1 Core formation realm would give 10,000 points.

To help myself sense the world around me, I used a sensory ability called Electrico Sense. it allowed me to sense electromagnetic fields. pretty much, I could sense the world around me for an extremely long range. normally, this has the drawback of damaging one mind. but I had complete immunity to it thanks to [The Almighty] and [Endless Nine].

With a flash, I appeared in a forest filled with wild beasts. upon appearing, I used the technique called Rain of Lightning. To use this technique, One shoots lightning in the sky, which would draw clouds to said spot, after some time of build-up, one could have a huge amount of lightning raining down. normally, only core formation realm experts should be able to do this as the energy cost was great.

but with me mastering this technique, and my perfect energy control. I was able to use it. it took a moment, but after a few minutes of build-up, the sky was covered in storm clouds. the sudden change in weather caught everyone's attention, even Jane who was far from there couldn't help but look over at the storm clouds that were gathering up ahead.

'He should be the only one capable of doing this.' She thought with a sigh of amazement, but she wasn't the only one, who was watching this scene. far away, a masked woman stood on a mountain, and around her laid the dead bodies of countless wild beasts.

"what's the point when you take so long to charge." She said with a yawn, this was the Queen Witch. She was dozens of miles away from Alex, her eyes were special, allowing her to see the figure of Zero standing there. what amazed her was the fact Zero turned around to look at her

"You can't see me, but your senses are sharp... thats not normal." She said while looking at Zero who turned to look at the many people eyeing him before he snapped his finger. with that snap, from the heavens, lightning rained down, destroying the whole forest. the cries of wild beasts filled the world. those wild beasts that had escaped found that the lightning locked onto them, following them. it was mass destruction. the power of this lightning left the forest destroyed

which shocked everyone along with the queen witch quickly tapped her badge. an image was projected in front of her, showing her the ranking. the person who had ranked up to the front was Zero with a score of 102,090 points.

"He used chain Lightning with Rain Of Lightning?" The Queen Witch said in shock. Chain Lightning is a technique that creates lightning that locks onto a target. it would even piece through more than one enemy, following them all. adding Rain Of Lightning, you had countless lightning bolts raining from the heavens, following a target.

"I should make a huge gap between myself and the others, before sitting back to have a breakthrough." Zero said calmly while disappearing. at high speed, he shot all over the place, using the fusion of Chain Lightning and Rain of Lightning over and over, until I had a score of 840,000 points.

"Good, I should now sit back and cultivate," I said calmly while looking at the second place, which was only 190,621 points. It has been only 12 hours, and if this is what the second-place holder could do after 12 hours, I had a few days to rest.

"Sigh... never mind." Zero said softly, surrounding Zero a group of people appeared. Zero looked around for a moment, before sighing.

"You should be tired after using those two technique over and over like that. so, simply give up your badge and you will not get hurt." a young man at level 9 Qi gathering realm said with a smile while walking towards me.

"Oh, this Zero guy is done for." outside, the sect masters were watching these scenes on a huge TV which was brought out to allow them to watch. many of them were watching Zero, after all his skills and capability amazed them all.

since time moved 10 times faster within the dimension everyone had entered, the TV was also showing everything at 10x speed. but to them, they were able to see everything. 

"This is Zero, don't look down upon my disciple." the sect master of Grand Thunder sect said calmly with crossed legs. at his words, everyone looked at him.

"He was born with a unique physique... the Heavenly Thunder Physique, so all lightning-based abilities he uses costless energy, while at the same time being more powerful than others. As you all noticed, he is capable of spamming lightning attacks." the sect master said with a smirk, shocking everyone

Heavenly thunder physique, was a rare physique that allowed only to use an extremely small amount of energy for all lightning-based techniques. at the same time, it even boosts the powers of their lightning technique. it was considered one of the strongest lightning-type physiques, so everyone was amazed.

Everyone watched the TV as Zero was swallowed in an aura of lightning. everyone who saw this knew the technique, Lightning Body. it was a basic lightning technique. One could boost their overall abilities by infusing Lightning within their body. the deeper the fusion, the greater the boost of power. when one masters this, it would form a huge aura around them which would act like armor.

At blinding speed, Zero cut everyone's badge. with that done, Zero watched as everyone was repelled by the world, and sent back to their home dimension. Zero didn't bother to say anything else and went on with his day... but that wasn't the end of everything. after taking a few steps, Zero stopped while turning around.

"... Sorry man, but it's easier to hunt you down than to do troublesome stuff like hunt wild beasts." A young man said with a smile, stunned that I sensed him. he was a handsome young man, he had abnormal blue hair, which was most likely the effect of a technique or ability. the blue hair didn't look abnormal, but looked natural and even boosted his charm.

"Naw, he mine." a masked woman appeared in the sky, sitting on her broom. the young blue-haired man frowned seeing the woman who had appeared.

"Queen Witch..." He said softly, to which she turned to look at me.

"Little piggy, I shall allow you to grow up and grow fatter. when you're fat enough, I shall come for you." She said smugly. Zero looked at her for a moment, the Queen Witch had a beautiful figure. she had an alluring body that was godly, even without seeing her face, Zero knew she was more beautiful than Jane.

"... weird." Zero said softly while turning around and disappearing, what was weird? this woman's future was a blur. I have seen this before, like when trying to see far into the future where nascent soul realm experts were around, thats where the blur would appear. this is because those who enter the nascent soul realm have something to do with the power of the laws of the universe... but why was someone who was at level 10 Qi gathering a blur?
