We were waiting in two lines, each prepared to go through the doors the moment they appeared before us. I was next to Sereia, her hand in my own. She wasn't trembling at all. She didn't seem scared or worried. On the contrary, she seemed to be angry. Very angry.

"Are you OK?" I asked her just as the door started to materialize next to my sister. 

"I'm fine. But Ula won't be. I will destroy her if she hurts my brother." Her voice was deep and rumbling, very animal-like in nature, despite her non-wolf heritage. Let's just say that I believed her. We all believed her when she threatened violence against the kidnappers. 

"I will be there with you." My words were meant to be soothing and to let her know that I was there to help her.

"Good." She smiled at me. "Now, let's go." The door was there, and we were first in line to go through it.
