Meeting Xentor Again

It was now a brand new day and Miller's eyes had just opened, signaling the start of a new day. Looking at his roommates, he saw Watson still sleeping, but Alex was fully awake, fidgeting on his bed. Alex was a Vampire and didn't require sleep that much. Alex had even told him that stronger Vampires don't even sleep at all.

Looking at them, Miller felt like this was the right time to check out his new Abilities in the Construct Forge. The first thing he did was check the Shop.

Looking at the shop which displayed at his retina. At the coins bar, he saw the number 400 boldly written.

'Okay. It's time,' Miller thought. He knew it would be like he had never left and he wanted to get stronger. He remembered what he had seen Kalzifrax do through Selena's memory. He wondered how hard it would be to defeat that kind of person. If he wants to stand a chance he has to get stronger and what better way than to train in the Construct Forge where his abilities have no limit. In real life, his limit is the Shadow Points and Energy Points.

According to the System. The more he increases his physical Energy, the stronger his green points would be. So to do that he has to Level UP until his physical strength increases. As for his shadow. The System had informed him that he has to use his Shadow Devourer more often and also Unlock more skills to make it Stronger.

With a sigh, Miller Activated it.

[Construct Forge Activated]

Miller felt that unusual sensation as his mind left his body, and arrived in a White room that surrounded him and Xentor like a cube.

"Hi, Miller. We meet again." Xentor said.

[Construct Forge Activated Successfully]

Xentor was sitting in a monk style and wore a black clothing that covered his entire body. He held a little cup in his right hand that was white in colour and was drinking something.

"Do you want tea?" Xentor said and in an instant, a little table appeared in front of Miller with a white kettle and cup on top of it.

Miller knowing fully well that this was just an imagination. Didn't feel like it was necessary. "Thank you. I have already eaten before i came here."

"So why are you here?" Xentor asked.

"I gained ten different shadow skills." Miller replied.

"You didn't gain, you unlocked." Xentor said with a wink. "Don't forget you already have those powers and you need the System just to help you unlock them."

"So what are the names of the skills." Xentor asked.

"They are Dark Echoes, Umbra Camouflage, Shadow Blink, Shadow Whisper, Phantom Step, Shadow Travel, Nightmare Infusion, Shadow Doppelganger, Shadow Tracker, Shadow Devourer." Miller said.

A large smile could be seen on Xentor's face. "Shadow Devourer. That skill is going to help you a lot more than you know it."

"Before we start what skill would you like to learn first. I want to teach you Shadow Devourer as the last. Then after that i would give you a challenge to face." Xentor concluded with a smile.

This wasn't what Miller was expecting, he actually wanted to learn the Shadow Devourer first, but it seems like it wasn't possible after all, at least right now. He has to learn about the other ones.

"I think I would just go with a random one," Miller said. "Teach me about the Shadow Whisper."

"Okay." Xentor said as he stood up. In an instant the entire room changed and they were now in a hot desert. The sun was hot really really hot and Miller didn't like it. What could he do? Besides based on what Xentor and the System had told him. His shadow is more effective, if the Sun is out.

"So you want to learn about Shadow Whisper." Xentor said.

"Yes." Miller replied.

"Good." Xentor said. "The first thing you have to do is connect with your Shadow."

Miller tried connecting as he did last time, but this time, his shadow stood up in front of him, similar to his Temporal Stagnation.

"You have different ways, you would feel a shadow." Xentor said. "You have only Learnt one and that's the one you are performing subconsciously. It is the temporal Stagnation."

"You would have to connect with not just your shadow, but with another person's shadow in other to transfer the message. You send the message to the person's shadow and they hear it instantly in their head. It's like a form of telepathy." Xentor concluded.

"It's simple. You already know how to connect with your own shadow. Now connect with mine. Send it a message." Xentor said pointing at his own shadow.

Miller at first didn't think it was possible, but he remembered what Xentor had did to him the last time how he controlled Miller's own Shadow to cut of his own arm. It was a skill Miller knew he would get one day. Just how powerful will these Shadow Skills be?

Miller was quiet extremely quiet and was trying to focus. He tried to listen to the heartbeat of Xentor. Xentor noticing this said. "It's not my heartbeat that you have to listen to. You have to be calm and send a message to my shadow."

"Miller be calm." He said those last words slowly and quietly allowing Miller to concentrate. He knew that it would be easy for Miller to especially since he has connected with his own shadow doing this would be quite a work in breeze.

Miller listened, and then finally, he could feel it. As he closed his eyes, he didn't see not just darkness. But he felt a presence in the place with him. He felt Xentor's shadow.

[Shadow Whisper]

Connecting with his shadow Miller sent a message to Xentor saying: "Thank You."

Upon opening his eyes, Miller could see Xentor's big smile. He knew Xentor had heard what he had said. "Congratulations. I knew it would easy for you."

"Thanks for believing in Me." Miller said.

"Now. I want you to learn a skill that is similar to this one." Xentor said. "It goes by the name as you know it Dark Echoes."
