1 Chapter 1: New world

I made a blunder on who to follow as my master. I put my trust on someone who would eventually betray me.

So I wished upon my death to be someone who lived for myself in my next life,and that's what I'll do.

As I open my eyes, I found myself lying down on on a soft patch of green grass. The air was filled with with freshness unlike the past which was filled with the smell of blood and rotting corpses.

It was clear to me that it was no longer the world I used to live in. I had no idea where I am now.

There was no use lying in the ground forever. I stood up abruptly and smelled the fresh air from the hundreds of trees.

I was about to explore when I heard the sound of the consoles I used to play when I didn't join the war yet.

A window floated in front of me like the games I used to play with VR technology. It gave me a message that would leave me to think what really is happening.

It seems like this was no mistake by the gods. It said this body was prepared to be his by this world

I was in the middle of a a forest it seems so, the introduction of this world could wait later. First I must aquire shelter, food, and water.

As expected of me as an old military man who had plenty experience In outdoor camping. I always thought of the essentials first for survival.

I walked around th periphery of the the forest and saw a large lake besides various strange fruit trees. I knew it was the perfect place to make camp.

I collected a bunch of sticks, leaves, and strong vines and brought the middle of two trees. I wedged a tall stick on the branches and connected the two trees with it while securing it with the vines.

I used the one side as the roof. I put the the sticks of same lengths and and made it incline toward the connecting stick and covered the them with waterproof leaves.

He was more or less done with the shelter when the sound of the system. It had a new message which piqued his attention.

He opened the system to see that he had a new "skill" which is something that he didn't know about yet. Since he was done with the things needed for survival he picked a strange fruit that he was sure was not poisoned and opened the library interface.

With that, the interface changed into a storage type interface which contained 5 books in it. It probably had unlimited storage capabilities.

He touched the books in the interface and found their titles. They were named, <world of Reidos>, <floating island of Hatanka: Bringer of Trials>, <basics of dungeoning>, <what skills are>, and <basics of magic>.

Could I read them? I touched one and an identical book popped out of nowhere. It was the same book and was also named world of Reidos.

It was only a thin one so I was thinking of reading it first. It showed the world map version of this world as its first page and after that was the fundamentals of this world.

The Demon beasts that lurks in the dungeons and dangerous large forests. It was one of the enemies of all humans in this world.

The other one was the true demons which would suddenly pop out in many places. Do not underestimate this demons since this demons have the same intelligence as human kind.

They lived on the demon plane from also this realm but they were able to make space rifts to try to conquer this plane.

This realm gives the ability to control mana and gave them various effects with the use of mana. Magic was only a byproduct of a skill that could control mana and giving of abilities.

<flame magic> is a skill that gives you the abilities to create and use magic. There was more skills that would allow you to make and use magic.

He finished reading it in a short time of 1 hour. He noticed that his memory seems to be clearer than before and he could remember more details on this book.

Since it was still a bit of time before sundown, he pulled the other books and began to read the them.

Everytime he finished, he would find his memory clearer than before and by the time he finished, the sound of the console echoed in his head and a new notification from the world's voice.

He knows that everyone from this plane can hear this "world's voice" and can be used for daily lives since it gives skills for everyone.

<New skill acquired: photographic memory>

as it name states, it should be giving me the skill to have a photographic memory. This "world's voice" is very useful.

He opened his window and saw that he has 3 skills now. It should be very easy to gain skill if he has the said ability to do it and with talent.

I was an expert crafter and I had photographic memory too. I only need to show the system that I have the abilities so that it would recognize it as a skill.

Since it was already sundown and it was now time to make fire since it would be cold at night.

He took a giant leaf as a blanket and tried to sense the mana in the air according to the mana sensing breathing method to get a skill in magic manipulation.

He could do it in his sleep so he could acquire a magic ability since it would be useful in this place.

He continued the breathing method as he slept throughout the entire night. Mana started gathering on his body.

He didn't notice it yet so he slept but he continued his breathing method. Unaware, he already started his mana hathering point in his abdomen. It concentrated more and more as it became so pure that it gave him a warm feeling that made him comfortable.

Nonetheless, he still continued to refine more mana in the place. He successfully created a magic chamber. It was the source of one's magic spells.

He successfully made one at the same time the sun rose up for an another day.
