Child's Play

Lei was lucky to have been chosen out of many people that would do anything to take what was possibly the most powerful ability away from his grasp, a system. Tired of reality and its monotony, he decides to go on an adventure! It all starts after his death. Hi! First thing I have to say for people who plan on reading is that there is no harem. I seriously hate harem and wouldn't want it anywhere near any of my work, reading feed or anything that's related to me. This also isn't that serious so don't expect some heavy plot. All Lei wants to do is to have fun so... yeah. Nothing serious.

Days off

"Go left you idiot!"

"Follow me!"

"This noob.."

Lei laid back on his chair as a few vocal gamers shouted at their mics.

This scene had pretty much became common for the past two days of playing here.

It didn't bother him much though as everyone had headphones and generally couldn't hear the noise of other people. And besides, if they got too loud... they would be kicked out.

What did bother him, was that the employees kept trying to limit his time on the computer. They didn't doubt him on the money after consistently paying but what they were worried about was his appearance. They weren't too cool with keeping a child in their store for more than three hours.

"This is ageism..." Lei mumbled to himself.

On top of that, there was also the problem of being wrongly accused of a cheater on some competitive games that relied on reaction time and hand eye co-ordination. Lei was beyond a normal human after all. He sourly accepted the fact that those type of games no longer challenged him because of his stats and focused on some of this worlds top single player games.

Lei didn't dwell on that too much, there were still a few things to do on his holiday. For one, he would walk around the city looking like a little student. Thanks to that got treated pretty nicely, but it also shined some attention to him.

Hunters and people alike would sometimes tail him, heck some even straight up confronted him. Lei didn't even need to guess why those things happened. He did cause quite a scene when he arrived here after all.

It wasn't easy to lose the people tailing because of nen but due to his speed and figure, he over maneuvered them most of the time.

As for the ones that caught him or confronted him... there wasn't even a time where he needed to use his lightning mode.

So now he's become quite infamous. Thinking about his profile made him laugh though; the person that a large number of people couldn't catch and defeat was someone who looked like a child that goes to primary school.

It's becoming a problem now though. He's becoming more high profile with the passing days, at this rate it wouldn't take long before someone with authority and strength comes looking for him.

"Ehh..." Lei thought about it for a second before shrugging "Who cares"

There may be a few moments where he wouldn't be able to win, but if it was just escaping, he was at the top.

Moving on, Lei thought about the upcoming auction. The timeline he had chosen was just a few days away and it would start with an auction item: The joystation.

Lei had actually been contemplating on how to participate for some time. Either he used the joystation or... directly go the the island.

Lei leaned on playing with the console. He just didn't want to ruin the game, not to mention that the creators would pest him if he didn't leave.

The only problem was getting his hands a joystation. Forget about the auction, he only managed to pay for the PC lounge thanks to stealing a few hundred jenni with his pick-pocketing skill. That's nowhere near the thirty billion it had sold for in the anime.

The good thing was... he could just steal it.

If he remembered right, Battera, the person who brought the joystation for the upcoming auction in the anime was someone who had brought many copies of the console.

But Lei remembered why the billionaire collected so much of the console, which actually made him feel a bit guilty.

"I've grown way too straight-forward..." Thinking about it, Lei didn't necessarily need to steal the console. He had the ability and opportunity... so he fixed his thinking and thought of making a deal with Battera.

He would reach out to him about it when the time came.

"For now, lets continue with some mundane fun!" With that, Lei continued with his sight-seeing around the city and daily gaming time.

The one particular day he enjoyed was his tour around a normal primary school. He just adjusted his uniform and used a bit of stealth so there was no problem with people catching him.

He was on the middle side since he looked like an eight year old... now that he thought about it, he was younger than Gon and Killua... anyway, he attended the appropriate classrooms and just reminisced on his own childhood.

To be honest, he couldn't remember much, but the ones he could were some of his most precious ones.

His parents, friends and even the evil teachers... it wasn't like his school years was anything special, it was just one the most emotional. Life became a lot more dull when he had graduated...

"...remember the trick to multipli..." Lei listened back to the teacher's words before tuning him out again. He almost wanted to laugh at the kids looking confusedly at the teacher. These kids were mostly at the same level, some were slightly ahead while others were slightly below.

At the end of the day, a teacher finally figured out that he wasn't part of his class. It was probably his fault since he messed around with the other kids too much though.

...

With that, his days spent on ordinary things around the city until it reached the day of the auction.

"It's... finally time"

Just a tiny break before I refresh my memories of greed island with some... research...
