Child's Play

Lei was lucky to have been chosen out of many people that would do anything to take what was possibly the most powerful ability away from his grasp, a system. Tired of reality and its monotony, he decides to go on an adventure! It all starts after his death. Hi! First thing I have to say for people who plan on reading is that there is no harem. I seriously hate harem and wouldn't want it anywhere near any of my work, reading feed or anything that's related to me. This also isn't that serious so don't expect some heavy plot. All Lei wants to do is to have fun so... yeah. Nothing serious.

A little spar

After meeting up with Gon and the others, Lei caught with them and decided to tag along since they were going to Masadora as well.

It turns out that Biscuit, a two star professional hunter started training them a few days ago. They first started off with fighting against Binolt, someone who was targeting them. He was a former blacklist hunter so Biscuit used him as a partner against Killua and Gon.

That said, ten days after they started fighting... Gon and Killua could already beat him in a one versus one. At the end, Gon thanked him and let him leave.

Lei could still remember the defeated look Binolt gave as well as his decision to give himself in after leaving the game. Lei chuckled "Talk-no-jutsu..."

Lei looked at Gon and Killua hard at work.

They each had a shovel on their hand while looking at the stones ahead of them. The next step of training they were given by Biscuit was to dig through the mountains of rock in a straight line towards Masadora.

At first they were reluctant in doing so but after finding ways nen applications in order to speed up the process, they realized the point and actually had fun doing so. They also got used to the conditioning not only towards their body but their awareness. This was done through holding a rope that was connected to a heavy bucket of rocks, each time they let of the rope it would drop on their head. Thus they were trained to remain semi-conscious even while sleeping. Lei smiled wryly at that... this training was kind of extreme, even he couldn't do that.

The reason to why Lei stayed with them was because he figured it was better going out and gambling for a good spell card. Why do that when you have these three to attract them to you? So while they trained, he just focused on his Fuinjutsu.

After half a day of digging, Killua and Gon took a short break.

Gon wiped his sweat of his head and turned to their fellow player currently focused on writing formulas "Say, Lei... do you want to spar?"

Killua raised his brows while Biscuit listened in curiously. Both of them have heard of Lei but they weren't sure of his strength as all the hunters that's been after him have all been people weaker than Binolt.

Lei spun his brush and tilted his head"Why do you want to fight me?"

"I'm just curious" Gon said honestly. He also shared the doubts of Killua and Biscuit so he wanted to see if Lei could put up a fight against him.

"Hmm... sure" Lei put his brush and papers and waited for Gon to explain his rules.

"Cool!" Gon smiled happily and pointed at an empty clearing "Let's fight there then!"

Lei nodded his head "That's okay but... don't you want to rest some more?"

"It's fine" With all the things he's learned so far, he was confident in fighting.

Lei just shook his head, he was getting underestimated in a weird friendly way... he looked towards Biscuit helplessly "Is this cool with you?"

Biscuit waved her hand "It's fine"

Although not much was known about Lei, she had some confidence in Gon. Besides, this would be good in seeing the progress he made in their training.

Lei had to admit, Gon would be the strongest people he would fight against since coming to this world. But... oh well, he would see whether this would good enough.

Walking up to the clearing, the two put some space from each other "Ready?

"Yup" Lei wrapped his arms with chakra and answered.

Gon didn't say anything after those words. He bent his legs and shot through the air with his fist ready to strike. Lei stood there calmly.

Gon's lips moved down a bit. He clenched his fist tightly and sent it right towards Lei's chest. What he didn't expect was for his fist to bend unnaturally as it stopped completely when it collided against Lei's forearm. With widened eyes, Gon pushed his legs to move back but before he could, Lei grabbed his extended arm, pulled it towards him and sent a kick right at his torso.

Gon grit his teeth and put his guard up. However, as the pull put his balance off, he couldn't stay his ground and was sent flying a few meters.

Gon took a deep breath after stabilizing himself and stared ahead seriously

"You still wanna keep going, Gon?" Lei stood at the same spot unbothered.

Hearing his words, Gon thought about the exchange and summarized; Lei was different from Binolt. Obviously he was stronger but the big difference was that he couldn't read his use of nen. Gon kept thinking back to how Lei blocked his punch and couldn't solve it at all.

Getting over her surprise, Biscuit looked towards Gon and shook her head. The answer was simple; it was just ten. But Lei only kept it to a minimum so Gon probably thought it was something else.

Many thoughts span through Biscuit's head. She could tell that Gon alone wouldn't be able to fight evenly against Lei. But perhaps this was a good chance "Killua, you fight too"

The two could use this to apply what they've learnt from training to actual combat.
