1 ~Prologue~

Y/N L/N. You live in Japan, Tokyo, with your father and older brother. Your in your second year of high school while your brother is a third year, your relationship with your father is indifferent. You barely see him, even when he's on a break.

On the other hand, your brother, Kaito, has a very good relationship with you, he's popular, sporty, tall and pretty funny. He's been playing volleyball since his second year in high school, he soon became the team captain, his position is a middle blocker as his height is a great advantage.

You moved in middle school and ever since then you've only made one friend in school, you have a lot of friends online yet you haven't met any of them in real life. Your best friend, Suki, has been your friend ever since you moved here, she's the nerdy type who always studies, she's a good teacher especially when It comes to maths, you always struggled with maths so she was a big help to you. She's always had a massive crush on your older brother, yet he only saw Suki as a sister.

Your a massive fan of video games so you made a good lot of online friends, your online best friend goes by the username 'applepi' He also lives in Tokyo but you never cared to ask for his name nor where he lived, he's also a second year, he plays volleyball only because his childhood best friend asked him to, he's a setter while his best friend is a middle blocker. Sometimes he randomly goes off because of a match or his best friend steals his Nintendo off him. He's quite a game addict, out of 500k players he's placed #48.

He's basically a pro gamer at this point, when you only joined the game he taught you the basics of the well known attack combos and of the game. At one point you were close to beating his score but failed after your Nintendo died.

You were devastated and went off gaming for a while, tests where coming up anyways, it was late Spring by the time you finished all the exams.
