1 chapter 1 .

His mind was calculating. He was bored waiting for the seer to speak with him. So he thought up a escape that would take him out of the silent room.

Sadly, his best friend, also bodyguard would not let him leave. With a sigh he slumped on the chair, fingers scratching the wooden legs, leaving behind only cat-scratches.

"Henry can I please escape. Who wants to see an old person tell me my future," the boy said trying to convince his oldest friend. "I am a realist, not a magical mumbo-jumbo," he stated his declaration flamboyantly, thinking his friend would agree to his whim.

Henry looked at the prince, eye twitching slightly, running a gloved hand through his sweaty hair. They came straight here from sword training, leaving them in sticky clothing, and dirt staining their pants. "Just because you don't believe in fate my prince," he added venomously. "Doesn't mean I need to lose my job over your pettiness."

The prince groaned, "your always like this and call me Caius when it is just us." He ended up getting up, pacing in circles, sword bumping against his leg. His hair was still in a ponytail from practice, few hairs out of place, but he looked divine, even in nasty clothes. "I swear to the deity our kingdom prays to that if this elderly person does not walk through those doors," Caius paused dramatically, "I will die of boredom."

Henry looked down in annoyance, Caius always had an annoying mouth on him, he sometimes wonders why their even friends, he doesn't know if he regrets it or not. The knight stopped his trail of thought. He will just leave it unanswered.

Henry about to pitch in was halted by the doors slamming open. Outside peered out two guards and a cloaked figure. It must be the seer.

Once the seer was in the room, they took off their hood, revealing their hazel skin and deep blue eyes, blind because of their ability. Their curly hair defined their face, plush lips parted as they began to speak, bowing, showing respect to the future crown, "to be near you, your highness, is a blessing to his old one. As you were told, I have been tasked to review your future."

That sounded ominous to Henry while Caius just sat void of emotion, he got like that when he was in deep thought. He probably was debating to listen to the seer.

Snapping out of his thoughts, the prince tapped a hand on the chair, directing the seer, they knowing the signal, stopped bowing before the prince. Caius, a stricken realist decided to listen to what they had to say.

Reaching out a hand, the seer waited for Caius to take their hand, once they had contact the seer would be able to state the future.

Caius took the hand, grinning mischievous, looked at Henry with bright eyes, gripping the seer's hand he commented, "watch it not be true Henry."

Henry took pity of the seer who had to see the future of this manic, if he could slap the boy, he would but not at the cost of this job. He has to take car of four siblings already. They all need the money he brings home to survive.

The seer began mumbling, a language even Caius does not know, and he knows many. They closed their eyes, cutting the room of their blue, only to open them when they were a holy white.

They stilled, unmoving like a fortress, hand twitching time-to-time.

Just as Caius stilled, not believing this was working. The seer jerked abruptly, not giving the male a warning he jerked to the side with them.

Clutching his hand tightly, the seer began to whisper now, "beware, beware, beware," over and over agin

Henry quickly went to Caius's side to help him up, seeing him confused as the seer clutched his hand, whispering words repeatedly.

Caius looked disgusted, is that all they can say, he confused and usually he is the smartest in the room, this has him stumped. Did he break them. He did not break them right? Right? His eyes widened in pain when they gripped harder. This bi—

They released his hand finally, tearing his hand away from them as quickly as he deemed possible, he scrambled back to his chair, wanting to never think of this experience anymore.

Henry squeezed his shoulder gently to calm him down.

The seer's blue eyes looked back at him in concern, they could not see but could hear his breath and heartbeat. "I am truly sorry your highness, I did not mean to hurt you," waving their hands in worry before being them back to their lap. "I do have news of your future though."

Putting their cloak back on, body turning towards the door. Their eyes reached the prince, and spoke, "beware of the children of Howlzen, they will result in your fall."
