A new teacher

It was the first day of College, Kimo has barely gotten any sleep the night prior due to how anxious and nervous she was. Around 8 am she finally got up and ready, she didn't put on anything too outstanding, just a hoodie that was about 3 sizes too big and some sweat pants. Finally heading out she hoped to find Saki locking her door went but it seemed she had already left.

Kimo reached the campus an hour later, still having about a bit of time till classes, so she decided to learn her way around, walking to the greenhouse, track, and to the gym. By the time she was done learning her way around campus she had 15 minutes until class and decided to get there early rather than explore more. Reaching the classroom with 5 minutes till the bell was supposed to ring she noticed the teacher wasn't there yet. Not surprised since it was the first day she just shrugged it off and sat in the corner where no one was sitting.

"BZZZZ!" The bell had rang and there was still no one upfront.

"psst" someone whispered from beside Kimo.

"Huh," Kimo said shocked.

"whats your name," the girl beside her asked,

"K-Kimo" Kimo said embarrassed.

"That's cool, I'm Ume," Said the new girl

"Hi Um-" Before Kimo could finish her sentence the door opened.

"Goodmorning class, sorry for being late," The teacher said, when Kimo looked at the teacher she couldn't believe who it was. It was Saki. Kimo's mind raced, Saki was her teacher? Saki was old enough to be a teacher? She didn't think she was a day over 20.

As the lesson went on Saki and Kimo made eye contact multiple times, but Saki's pleading eyes made Kimo stay quiet. The lesson seemed to last forever, Kimo couldn't concentrate at all, her mind just kept on racing, she was confused more than anything. Why did Saki not tell her? Why would She be a teacher of all things? Kimo decided it was pointless to overthink it and thought she could just ask her after class.

"BZZZZ!" Finally the second bell, she could ask Saki what was going on now. Kimo walked up to the front.

"Sa-" Kimo tried to speak but Saki immediately interrupted her.

"I'm so sorry- I didn't mean to lie to you it's just-" Kimo was now even more confused, she was the one who felt bad, she had never seen Saki this flustered she looked as if she might cry. Kimo didn't know what to do so she just hugged her and whispered "It's okay" over and over into her ear

Saki was static for a moment before returning the gesture, hugging her back.

Saki's mood has seemed to come back as she said 'Kimo not to ruin the moment but you might want to let go, The other students are looking.. I don't want to ruin your chances with your dream guy" Kimo immediately let go

"i- I'm sorry, and I don't like guys- i mean i do but just not like that-" Kimo said cheeks red and flustered

"Don't worry it's not like I didn't enjoy the hug and- I'll keep that in mind" Saki said with a wink "Now go get to your other classes we can talk after school, I'll come by your place how does that sound?"

"That sounds great- I will see you then, I'll leave the door unlocked so just come in" Kimo said with a smile.

The rest of the day was boring to Kimo, although she had made some new friends and she had found out Ume and her had the same classes. She had also met two others that were friends of Ume, one was a boy named Hiko and another was a girl called Tomiko. The four got along well, but Kimo was still anxiously waiting for the last of her classes to finish so she could go home and talk to Saki.

"BZZZZ!"
