Coming back to the guild sure brought back memories. Come to think he really spent a lot of time in this world already.

He went to a counter and waited for a staff member.

A woman with pointy elven ears, glasses over her emerald eyes, and brown shoulder-length hair came over to him.

"Good day, sir. How I may help you?"

"Hello, I would like to exchange the loot and monster cores I collected."

"Oh, I thought you would be a new adventurer. May I see your ID?"

"Sure." Azrael rummaged in the backpack and took out the ID that he hands over to her.

"Azrael Locke...Level 1? So you are a new adventurer. I haven't seen you around."

"...I guess one would think like that. But I haven't updated my status yet."

"I see...Mayari Familia? Isn't that the Moon Goddess? You are the first from her familia I have seen."

Azrael got a little bit fatigued with this conversation. "You know if we keep this chit chat on the guys behind me won't stop breathing in my neck."

And Azrael was not kidding because there was really a bulky dude behind him that he could hear wheeze down his neck.

Realizing it herself she smiled apologetically. "Oh, sorry. My bad. Well, plase put all your cores in this wooden tablet."

Azrael looked at it and went silent.

"Is something wrong?"

"It won't fit..."

"Huh?"

"I said that is too small to fit."

"...Sir, are you making fun of me?"

"No..." He just put his whole backpack on the wooden trail. "Here you go then..."

The woman was surprised and tried to lift the bag. She noticed it was a lot heavier than she thought and struggled a little with it.

"Um...then wait here for a little bit please..." She waddled off with his backpack. Good thing he already took out the saferoom key and Cheatboy out of it and placed it in a waist pouch around his waist.

It was actually a nuisance carrying this guy around and having to worry about it being stolen or losing it. But then again if he kept it in his safe room he wondered what he will do after losing the key.

He somehow wished for some space magic to keep it there. How unfortunate it doesn't work like that.

After what felt like half an hour she came back. There was clearly nervousness shown on her face.

"Sorry for the long wait, sir. Here is something as compensation for the long wait." She handed him a small piece of candy and Azrael raised a brow at that.

"Candy?", he saked with a deadpan look.

"You dont like sweets? I assumed because all the other adventurers like getting them I thought it was an alright gift."

Azrael looked at her and smiled. "I guess it is more because of a beautiful woman giving them the gift than anything else. Well, thank you, miss?"

"Eina Tulle..." She looked at him surprised and even blushed a little.

Azrael nodded "Miss Tulle then. I appreciate the gesture. But why the long wait?"

She sighed a little. "We actually had to clarify a lot of the loot. I have to ask though. Where is your group?"

"I was alone.", deadpanned Azrael back.

"You are joking, aren't you?", she didn't believe his words and asked again.

"No, I am serious..."

"What do you mean! A level 1 cant just go down there! It´s too dangerous! Especially since that incident 2 weeks ago!" Now she was getting loud and that surprised even him.

"Huh? But you know...shouldnt the loot speak for itself? I was just in there for a longer period...What incident are you even talking about?"

"...I see. You are right...Still!! Don't do something that reckless again!" She went full mentor mode again until finally explaining the crucial part.

"There was an accident 2 weeks ago on the 18th floor that brought a lot of chaos. That is also why the guild is now strengthening the requirements for new adventurers to enter deeper into the tower."

"I see...", nodded Azrael. ´She is talking about the skeleton? That was about 14 days ago? Looks like my key transports me back to any floor I already visited under the requirement that a certain time does pass it seems. Probably around a day for each floor? Interesting. The drawback is not that huge since it is the time outside the room and not for oneself.´

"Well, it looks like I didn't notice that commotion and since I am safe it should be alright, yes?", asked Azrael now.

Eina sighed in defeat once more. "Sure. Well, here is your magical card charged up with a total of 11.568.677 Valis..."

"Hmm, not sure if that is a lot or not but thanks. I can pay everywhere with this card?"

"Yes, you can. And a lot huh...You know most Adventurers only make about 50.000 a day if they are a very good group..."

"Ah...Well, then we better both keep it a secret between us okay?" Azrael smiled and made a hush with his finger. "It was also probably only that much money because of the monster loot in the backpack, right?"

Eina nodded slowly and then also gave him his empty bag.

"Well, thank you miss Tulle. I will make sure to search for you when I ever need help again."

"Azrael?"

"Hmm?" ´First name basis? Rather bold woman.´

"Make sure to update your status, alright?" She smiled now.

Azrael actually had to chuckle at that. "Sure, will do."

Then he waved his hand and walked away.

But before he could leave the building he saw the mission board for expeditions outside Orario. His eyes widened when he saw something.

He grabs the paper and went straight back to Eina.

"Miss Eina, why is this still hanging around even after so many months on the board!?", asked Azrael agitated and with a deep frown. he even ignored the guy that was about to talk with her.

"Huh!?" Eina was somewhat surprised and looked at the paper he sowed her. It was a mission request for the extermination of a monster den outside the city.

It was the same request that the old man had given to the guild.

"That...I am not sure. It looks like no one has accepted this request since it is on the lower range of rewards.", she answered truthfully and frowned a little as well.

"So you are saying the people here are feeling too high and mighty to help the towns outside Orario!? Whatever, I will accept it and do the job alone when everyone is a coward."

Azrael could just hope everything is alright. No, he knew a lot of time had already passed and something bad had very likely happened there.

"You can't. The mission has a requirement of level 3..."

Azrael stared at her and became angry. But he just stopped his complaining and walked away. Eina could only look after him with a conflicted look. She knew that this was exactly why she did not see her job as what it was anymore.

One thing was for sure and that is that Azrael would take this request. He does need to be level 3? Well, then he is going to update his status if that crappy thing is so important.

Double trouble. I hope you liked the double release. Over and out
