The set day.... introduction....

Standing in front of the chosen participants was a man with red plaited hair wearing a golden set of armor with a sword by his side, the commander of Takeki village's army, known as captain Drek.

"This meeting is to inform you that the king has placed a date for the expedition, so for you not to forget, go home, park the 'needed' then I'll give you the rules when we meet back here in three days." Commander Drek said in a high pitched tone, lifting a pile of paper wrapped with nylon for everyone to see."here is a list of what you'll be bringing with you. It'll be given out to all of you by knight Roger here."

Knight Roger collected the list from commander Drek and shared it to all twenty nine participants. After all said and done, all the soldiers dispersed leaving the three 'three-man teams' behind, standing in front of knight Roger.

Walking up to them, he opened a piece of paper he brought out of his pocket.

" If your name is mentioned, answer me with a 'yes sir' response. Here it is then..." Knight Roger said, staring at the paper as he called out.

"Saz..."

*Yes sir*

"Mark...."

*Yes sir*

"Peter...."

*Yes sir*

"Casey...."

*yes sir*

"Kell..."

*yes sir*

"Rhen"

*Yes sir*

"Billy..."

*Yes sir*

"Cindy...."

*Yes sir*

"And finally, Jade"

"The king has put me in charge of the nine of you. He ordered me to give you the necessary coaching required for this expedition, so go home, get some rest and meet me back here tomorrow morning, then we'll see as it goes. " Knight Roger concluded, folding back the paper.

They all left for their various home as it was already getting late while Saz entered into the castle being his family's house.

Through out the night, Jade kept thinking about what Mrs Lillian said but couldn't quite put a finger on it, so he just waved it as nothing too serious.

The next day, the three groups were gathered at the front of the castle, then, they all left along with knight Roger for the open ground at the end of the street leading to other villages.

"Alright! The coaching is going to be split into two parts, one, we'll discuss the rules, two, you'll briefly explain what you specialize on and your style of fighting. Why we are doing this is for you to understand each other, it's not Everytime we go on an expedition, so we are trying to achieve zero death and casualties. Am I clear? "Knight Roger explained with his hands at his back as he walked around.

"Captain Drek is the one leading the expedition, try your best not to get on his bad side.

So!, first off, the rules. Always stick together, no matter what you do, if you wander off the group during a beast attack or something, well you are on your own cause nobody is going to go look for you and probably you might become a one man army or a walking meal.

Secondly, watch out for any sign the commander might give you cause if you come across some dangerous park of beast, you will need to make a detour.

Lastly, never remove or drop your bag pack anywhere anytime, unless you are ready to die of starvation then become a meal for the beast. Any question?" Knight Roger asked after the explanation.

*Silence*

"Moving on to the next part. Starting from the left, you'll introduce yourself then you tell us about your battle style, be it short, middle or long range."

From the left, each person started to introduce themselves.

"I am Mark from team one, I specialize in long range attacks. With my ability amplifier glove I created, I can shoot out a powerful beam of fire from my palm." A short boy with light red spiky hair, putting on normal Blue clothes and big electronic glove in both hands said.

"I'm Cindy from team one, I specialize in close combat. I cover my fist with flame of fire, I can also shoot them out during combat." A girl with red blonde hair, putting on the most common worn armor in the village, a light cavalry armor said.

"I'm Billy from team one, i also specialize on close combat just like my sister here, Cindy." A boy with red blonde hair also wearing a light cavalry armor said.

"I'm peter from team two, I specialize in short and middle range attacks. I equip this chain with fire, using it in battle as I see fit." A boy with red buzz cut hair, putting on a black sleeveless jacket and pants with a chain hung up on it said, tapping the chain on his black pant.

"I'm Casey from team two, I specialize in defensive attacks. I can create a transparent shield of any size with my fire and to attack, I use the sword Rhen dad, Mr Hegs forged for me." A girl with a red wavy hair, dye with black at the tip, wearing a black jacket and bum short with a large sword in a blue sheath at her back said.

"I'm Kell from team two, I specialize in long range attack. With my arrow equipped with fire, I can shoot as far I want. " A girl with red braided top knot, also wearing a black jacket but long tight jeans with a bow and arrows at her back said.

"I'm Saz from team three, i specialize in middle and short range attacks. I can shoot out barrage of fire from my palms for a long period of time." Saz said.

"I'm Jade from team three, I battle in all three range. During long range, I can shoot beams of fire out of my knuckled gloves, during short range, I can box with my opponent, equipping my fist with fire while in middle range I can just shoot out the fire from my fist." Jade said, tittering nervously "though, you already know."

"I'm Rhen from team three, I specialize in short range attacks. Equipping my sword with fire, I can deal great damage to my opponent." Rhen concluded, shrugging.

"Now, you all know each other's techniques, interact with each other and decide on a formation. I'm going to show some of you one reason you still need a breastplate if not a complete set of armor and also the strength of the Takeki's fire ability." Knight Roger said, removing his dual swords from their sheath"

Jade turned to Rhen and asked her about her new sword which she replied saying her dad gave her a new one. They both joined up with the others who had gone to one corner of the open space to come up with a strategy against knight Roger.

After some time they came back, signaling that they were done.

Knight Roger put up his fighting stance, holding each swords with both hands while the others readied their weapons.

"The first team to land an attack on me wins and takes the first position, the second team takes the second position.... There's no rules in battle, you can go all out. " Knight Roger said, putting on an obvious smirk. 'Now let's see which team lands a successful attack first.'
