Hegs' complaint

Few days back, the king held a meeting with the pillars in order to discuss the missing soldiers and their next plan.

"Captain Drek, Mr Hegs complained about his daughter being missing. Is there any excuse as to that?" The king asked calmly.

"Your majesty, I'm sure she was not dead and I believe she followed a newly joined soldier but I wasn't informed about their whereabouts." Captain Drek stated.

"That's a lie, why will my daughter follow a stupid stranger without even telling me, that's my only daughter, what am I supposed to do now, relax?." Hegs shouted angrily.

"So you think she got kidnapped by him huh? Then what about Mark? Why would Jade go to such extent and kidnap two soldiers without anyone even realizing. "Captain Drek shouted back.

"Just keep shut you two! Would shouting solve anything." James shouted at the two which silenced them. "If anything shouldn't we be asking Jade's father? They live together."

"Yeah I'm sorry but I'm also a victim here, I haven't seen Jade since the battle ended and I think using the word kidnap isn't right, Jade, Rhen and Mark were really close." Mr Arthur stated in a calm way.

"That's right, if anything I think they snuck out of the village." Knight Roger commented. "Jade has been wanting to go find his mother, they probably are just trying to help."

"Help my foot! Isn't leaving the village without permission illegal, Rhen knows that and would never do so." Mr Hegs said, hitting the table.

"Though I don't have any ideas who this Jade boy is but wasn't it obvious to any of you if they were close or not?" The queen questioned. "For me, I believe they'll come back eventually and then we can carry out judgement."

"And when would that be, how long should I wait?" Hegs replied.

"Hegs, we know you care about your daughter so much, but we're shut on soldiers, we can't just send them to look for her. If anything happens to her I promise I'd take full responsibility." The king said, directing his gaze to captain Drek. "And you, in two weeks time you would get punished for your carelessness if they are not back. Let's just say that the deadline."

"Your majesty, I don't see any reason to punish captain Drek. Nobody would expect any soldier to have ran away during a war." Knight Flin protested." And besides, they were at the border line, anyone would easily escape."

"Hmm, so what are you implying?" The king asked.

"There was no signs of struggling when we checked the forest but instead three set of footsteps which indicates they were willingly leaving the village."Knight Flin theorized. "The best thing is to ask the other new soldiers, they might know something."

"Well then, knight Roger please get the new soldiers down here."

"On it, your majesty."

After some time, the newly joined soldiers were all in the palace. And the king began his questioning.

"Did any of you know of Jade, Rhen and Mark leaving the village? Let me remind you, if you fail to cooperate with me, know you are commiting treason and you know the punishment." The king asked with a strong aura, sending chills down their spines.

"Th...they snuck out of the camp."Peter stuttered out.

"You mean voluntarily?"

"Yes, though Jade said he wanted to go find his mother, Rhen decided to follow him but I never thought Mark would do so." Casey explained.

"It's settled then, when next time they appear they'll face their punishment...."

The meeting ended with the matter settled and closed. Everyone got dismissed.

Weeks later, everything was going on as usual until a loud explosion was heard at the border. The soldiers who were scouting for attacks was seen running back to the village.

The only word coming out of their mouth was 'run'. They got the king notified about the bad news which was actually the worst news.

Within ten minutes half of the village became a mountain of fire and everybody were making their way to the tomb at the castle except for the soldiers who were holding back the groggs.

At the king palace, captain Drek was reporting.

"Your majesty, the groggs attacking are using fire abilities, strong once at that. The soldiers won't hold up for long, you need to leave." Captain Drek shouted.

"Groggs with abilities, weren't they aliens?" The king asked.

"How would I know. We need to...."

Another explosion occured at the palace, captain Drek had to protect the king at all cost.

In the village all the soldiers were still trying to defend the citizens till they get to the tomb but their numbers were depleting in great speed with the groggs using their fire abilities against them.

Soon something happened, a grogg dropped to the ground, it was a surprise but yet more was dropping. All the soldiers just stood there, watching to see what was going on.

In a flash all the groggs was Laying on the ground with one single figure standing tall.

Jade was running wild with his speed, punching every grogg in his way like a one man army, it was becoming obvious that he was different.

Seeing what Jade just did, all the soldiers were fazed until someone broke the silence.

"Is that Jade? He came !"

"What! He came back?"

"How could he have done all that?!"

.....

With Jade popularity among the soldiers, they all recognized him in a second. Mark and the others was coming from behind, shocked with all the groggs laying around.

"Did your friend did all these?" Joe asked.

"You have no idea." Mark replied.

"It looks like the village has become something else. First off, we need to find the king." Dr Bryan suggested, as they started making their way to the palace while the soldiers just hailed Jade.

The palace was damaged at one side probably through misfires, rubbles lying everywhere and the king was being protected close to the throne by captain Drek.

"What do you wa.... You! What are you doing here?" Captain Drek shockingly asked.

"We need to see the king, you can come out cause there's no groggs around.... I kinda dealt with them." Jade stated casually.

The king came out of the cotton used in the throne.

"So you're back, be ready to face your punishment for leaving the village without my permission." The king shouted, pointing at them.

"It seems like you are forgetting the bigger picture, you just got saved by one person and that's him, instead of punishing him why don't you do him a favor." Mark said, smiling awkwardly.

"Hahahaha, is that some joke you are using to get my favor? Sorry but it's not working." The king said, walking towards them.

"Your majesty, I think it's best you see for yourself." Dr Bryan suggested, stepping forward too.

Joe walked to the door and opened it, the only word that could be heard was 'Jade'. All the villagers and soldiers were hailing him.

"What the fu*king hell is going on here?! " Captain Drek couldn't help but comment.

"As you can see, you've got a hero on your side" Dr Bryan said proudly, and they all came out of the palace.
