19 Misery Of Living In The Box

A man casually keyed in the password for Choi Haneul's apartment and entered the place casually without any reservation. He removed his sweatshirt and placed it on the coat rack with familiarity.

The two men inside the house noticed the new person. Haneul was happy and felt miserable as he looked at the newcomer while Lee Whan let out a disgruntled snort and turned the other side to smile secretly.

"My dear first love, is your boyfriend here with you already?" Choi Haneul asked miserably. He was close to tears.

"On the way, I guess. I came directly from the meeting as soon as I saw the message. Sorry, I did not inform the group before dropping by!" Haneul's first love smiled.

The man first looked at Lee Whan with concern. When he knew the other had traces of crying but seemed like he was over the issue, he looked around the room. All the boxes and unpacked-unorganised house made him sigh.

Lee Whan looked at his most hated junior. Even though the other was a successful businessman and a person who holds enormous power in the investments and the stock market, the brat always dressed in a t-shirt and jeans. Or sometimes even track pants. He did not care how important the meeting was but always preferred to dress comfortably.

A sweatshirt or a padded jacket would be added simply based on the weather. Sometimes he does wear a button-down shirt with slacks, but that was the greatest extent of the formals he would wear for work.

The most hated junior and the brat according to Lee Whan was in a white full-hand turtle neck t-shirt with blue washed-down jeans. It was plain, but still, he looked like a model.

Lee Whan sighed, knowing he would experience a nightmare in the Lee family if the CEO dressed so casually like this. But he shook his head, knowing that was the difference between the Lee family's stupid upbringing and aunt Song's perfect upbringing.

Lee Whan felt happy as he realised, he was not the CEO anymore.

"This is your house, Min Jun. I am sure you can drop by whenever you wish to come over! Feel free to make yourself comfortable. After all, you own the place." Lee Whan glared at the junior he hated the most, but there was no maliciousness in the glare.

It was like a petty one-sided sibling rivalry he has with Wang Min Jun. He had it for years that it was more familiar and both of them got used to it. And no one wanted to change it too.

Lee Whan never liked anyone messing with his most hated junior, only he was allowed to do it. At the same time, his annoying junior was always present by his side even when the entire world turned against him.

Choi Haneul started to have a meltdown looking around the mess and cursed under his breath. "Fuck! Your brat Young Jae is going to laugh at me for being messy!"

"My lover is way messier than you, little Choi. Stop worrying about stupid stuff like this!" Haneul was not pacified by his first love's simple attempt.

"But this…" Haneul looked around wondering how he went from the person who was most organised to this - the miserable one who lives in the box.

"Looks like you have difficulty in unpacking. Let me help you unpack and decorate the house. What do you say?" Wang Min Jun pushed the sleeve of this t-shirt up and started to move the boxes out of the way for everyone to move around easily.

Haneul looked like a child waiting to be scolded by the adult for creating a mess while playing. "You are not going to scold me?!"

He looked so adorable at the moment that Lee Whan cooed at his most favourite junior's cuteness and glared at his least favourite junior for rejecting him long back.

"Little Choi, I would never laugh at you. Moving around must be difficult. I know you still have assignments you need to submit for your university work." Min Jun picked up the heavy box wondering what Haneul even have inside it. But he still smiled at Haneul to soothe the other's worry.

Choi Haneul beamed at the reassurance and the tender smile Min Jun gives only to his family.

Wang Min Jun turned towards Lee Whan sternly as they questioned the man who had a breakdown a few minutes back. "Now! Spill what the fuck happened?"

"I walked away from my family for good!" Lee Whan sat on the floor as the furniture was still covered by the cloth and a few boxes. At least the heat in the apartment kept the floor warm.

"So, miracle does happen! Congratulation on your freedom." Min Jun and Haneul gave a high-five to each other as they rejoiced for Lee Whan and at the same time took a dig at him for staying with the stupid family for this long.

"Do you have groceries stocked? Cause we will have lots of hungry mouths to feed in a few minutes." Lee Whan's most hated junior asked Haneul with a small frown as if he already knew the answer to it.

Haneul looked at him almost organised but still an empty kitchen. The last egg and bread became a bread omelette before it made its way into his tummy in the morning. "Not exactly."

"Great!" Min Jun picked up his phone to ask his boyfriend to do some grocery shopping on the way.

"Can we order out? I want fried chicken!" Choi Haneul grabbed his first love's hand and asked pitifully as if he did not eat anything tasty for weeks. But the pilling takeout contained under the kitchen sink told the story otherwise.

"Pizza for me!" Lee Whan did not care he was asking the junior he hated the most little too dependently. He walked away from his family and he deserved to be pampered a little bit more.

Even from his most hated junior!
