I have to end it

His grandma pretended to talk on her phone but they both knew it was all an act. And the first one to confess would be the loser. Felix couldn't let his grandma plan any more blind dates.

'I have to end it here for all.'

Hearing his grandma's not so generous intentions to his hospitalised grandson made Felix realise that she won't stop meddling in his affairs unless he shows her a marriage certificate.

'I am yet to make her fall for me and here my grandma is hell-bent on marrying me off. I am sandwiched now.'

Felix contemplated his dire situation. He was stubborn nonetheless his grandma was on another level. If she sets her mind on something then she will get to her goal by hook or by crook. This quality got passed on to him too.

Now, as he had set his eyes on a girl. Then he won't be going back.

'She will be mine.'

He had declared to himself.

"My insolent grandson! When I am saying you are marrying her then you are! End of discussion." His grandma roared in pure rage. Her chest heaved up and down due to the strength she used to stop herself from beating Felix.

She held her stick tightly with her fingers. The sight of him on the white bed tore her old heart. He was her most prized treasure. Her pride. She can't see him in pain but he never takes his safety and health seriously that she was sure he would give her a heart attack due to the regular ignorance of his health.

Felix lifted his head and stared at her. His eyes were full of mysterious flickers. She raised her eyebrows at the foreign twinkle in his hazel bright eyes.

"Certainly, I will marry the girl I love and that is never going to be Shanaya but only my angel."

Felix announced confidently. This made the old lady frown in confusion. She had no whiff about her grandson's angel. For the first time, she had heard him say it and it puzzled her.

'Who? Angel? Who is his angel?'

Only who engulfed her conscious thoughts. Felix would have absorbed her reaction but since his grandma had mastered the act of hiding her emotions. He already expected that.

Still, he saw the visible creasing lines on her forehead. It told him how he had affected her. She could act as nothing happened but as her grandson and also for all the time he had spent with her. He had understood her tactics and the way his grandmother's brain functions.

'She must be shocked.'

His statement would have frozen his assistant but he had left the room to give the grandma and grandson duo some privacy.

Felix in love? With a girl?

These words don't go in one sentence. It definitely would have made several people faint with disbelief. Some might even suffer a heart attack. But it didn't matter to Felix. It was none of his business. However, others loved to poke their noses into his private life in the search of scoopy news headlines and the topic for gossip.

"Grandma, you should sit and have a rest", he sighed as he glanced at the old woman who appeared quite young and physically fit for women of her age.

She wanted to argue with Felix to not avoid the talk. She would have done that if she was not aware of his impatient behaviour. Plus, it would hurt her only to watch him in stress and discomfort.

Accepting her defeat, she sat on the chair right next to his right side. She saw the half-finished plate of fruits, "Confess now. Spill the truth."

Felix held back the smile that was threatening to destroy his cold and sick look.

He crossed his arms and stared at the adorable face of his lovely grandma.

"Huh? I can't get you...What do you mean grandma?" He asked.

"Don't play games with me. You know perfectly what I meant."

"Grandma...even I would love to play games with you but I can't miss out on your old health."

"Yah!! Brat!! Who are you calling old? You are older than me. Hmphh!!!"

His grandma looked at him with a fierce gaze. She never liked to be old and it was an unspoken rule not to taunt her with her age.

Felix said, "Grandma, you should control your anger. Taking too much tension would only increase it."

"No one likes taking tension and it is the same for me but my grandson seems to love giving me anxiety. You know how my heart dropped to bottomless hollow when I heard Alex's fearful voice. I would have died on the spot if not for my maid."

She broke into tears. They kept gushing out of her eyes.

Hastily, Felix stood up and went over to his sobbing grandmother and tried to console her.

"DON'T YOU DARE STEP A FEET DOWN!"

Felix paused his movements. He got appalled. He didn't want to waste time and let her cry. Instead, she growled at him for not caring about the drip attached to him and carelessly moving.

He sealed his lips and sat with his legs hanging off the bed.

His grandma menacingly stared at him, "Lie on your back just like before. Sleep!"

Immediately he did as he was told to. His intentions were never to make his family worry for him yet he knew he committed a mistake and he needed to atone for them.

'I can't continue with this lifestyle, otherwise, how will I chase my girl if I am bound to this bed mostly.' He concluded to put his unhealthy lifestyle on a halt forever.

Felix pushed the red button near his nightstand. Alex instantly entered the room. He was standing outside and engrossed in his thoughts but watching the red light blinking on the top of the door.

"Alex, clear my schedule for this entire week. I will stay here and recuperate. Next Monday we will be going back. Push all the important meetings for the next week."

Felix ordered him.
