Charmed The Heroines in a Novel

Just read it, it's clear what kind of series this is. But here is a blurb: Being on the top is like people say, boring. And boring can explain the entirety of his life. Even when his life ends, Li Yuheng didn't react much, except it sucked. But when an unexplainable existence suddenly tells him that he can transmigrate to another world, he is excited. Life no matter how bad seemed like a good deal instead of stuck in the nothingness of death, but like every deal, it has terms and conditions. "Help the protagonist," it said. The protagonist, the same person who relies on nothing but luck, that same person who has no redeeming qualities or character and gets everything they want. Telling him to serve that kind of person is degrading him. To protect his pride, Li Yuheng manipulates the protagonist, avoids the system's suspicion, and turns the heroines to his side, all in secrecy. How will he do it? He doesn't know himself. But it's the fun part, isn't it? ------------- Upload schedule: 1 chapter every 2 days on average, sometimes 1 chapter every 3 days.

Li Yuheng (Read author's comments below before reading!)

Death was boring, like dead boring. Death was stuck in absolute nothingness, the darkest dark and absolute silence torture for any living being. But thankfully for Li Yuheng, he was dead. At least he assumed so.

He didn't remember how he ended up here but the memories of his life somehow never faded. From childhood until supposedly the moment he died, It's even more crystal clear than when he was alive.

What can anyone do in ultimate boredom? To think, to reflect, and to lament. Perhaps that was the point, to wonder if life was worth the forever lasting torture.

So, was his life worth it? He would have to answer it with his favorite word, maybe.

His life was good, objectively. Being able to be free and never worried about basic needs was a privilege itself. He found a good book much more enjoyable than going to a party, so he didn't leave a single regret about rejecting those old men party invitations.

But maybe his life was a bit too boring. Perhaps a little bit more adventure, relations, or even conflict would gave him a life worth living. In that regard, he regretted it a bit, just a bit though.

He would certainly miss that BBQ chain with the hot waitress, or the last arc of the last book he read, or even his comfy bed, missing those sucks.

But it's a dangerous wish, he would not mind going unconscious as long as he won't stuck in this place any longer. But that hope was perhaps just an ephemeral fear.

It's time to sleep, the best thing he could do in this cursed place. Good night.

....

....

....

[Wake u-! Wake up!]

Li Yuheng opened his eyes from a faint voice. In absolute silence, the smallest voice was loud. Did someone just tell him to wake up? How did he hear without ears? Perhaps he finally went insane? It's probably the last one, it's about time. Ignored it and went back to sleep.

[Ding! Don't go to sleep!]

Just before he went back to sleep, the voice sounded again. He sighed in his mind and decided to gave it a listen.

[Ding! Congratulations! The mortal has passed the qualifications to gain a system! As a result, the mortal would have a chance to be transmigrated to another world!]

He would shake his head out of disappointment if he had one. A system, that novel trope? What kind of joke was it?

[Now! Please say 'bound' to bound with the system!]

He didn't even know how he could hear the system without ears and he was told to speak without a mouth? It's time to go to sleep.

[Why is the mortal not talking? Oh right! Humans can't talk without a body! Have this!]

Out of nowhere a burst of light appeared covering his mind with light. It was like someone stuck in a dark cave for a hundred years felt when they saw the sun, Except it felt like the real sun.

He passed out from the pain before being woken up again multiple times in a span of a few seconds. It's consuming his mind, like a black hole that consumed a star for dinner, ripping it apart into pieces and squeezing it into nothingness.

It's over in less than 10 seconds. But the worst 10 seconds of pain he ever experienced, combined life and death. It was too much to bear the pain until it suddenly disappeared and he felt the familiar feelings. Coldness, skin, and heartbeat.

"What!?" Li Yuheng said, even more surprised when he heard his voice.

His vision recovered when he saw the stars, but not as a dot in the sky, but as gigantic balls covering the whole sky with its surface. They were beautiful and terrorizing, the stripes and dots looked violent with their hostile colors like they were made for killing.

But their light was surprisingly warm, more like moonlight that was pleasing to the eyes.

[Hmm, now host! Does the host accept this opportunity!?}

Li Yuheng's imagination was interrupted by the voice from an unknown direction. He knew this system was the real deal.

"What is my purpose to be transmigrated?" He looked up at the sky.

[That is a secret!]

"Explain it without exposing the secret."

[The mortal needed to follow the plot of a novel and help the protagonist!]

"What kind of novel is it?"

[Please don't ask so many questions, mortal! It's an urban novel!]

"Last question, do I get a reward if I do it?"

[The last time mortal! There are many rewards, including but not limited to attributes points and skill!]

He closed his eyes and absorbed within his thoughts. Helping the protagonist, it sounds incredibly shady. It could mean being the protagonist's slave, becoming an errand boy for him, and he would rather die than do any of that.

But going back into that forever nothingness, it's an easy choice. He knew he was in no place to negotiate, it might be a one time offer he would never receive again.

It wasn't a winning deal, but it's the only deal without a complete loss.

"I accept." He smiled, a little stiff after forgetting how to smile.

[Ding! Host acceptance confirmed! Transmigration protocol started! ….Confirmed! 3…...2....1…...Executed!]

Before he could react, his mind was sucked for the second time into nothingness.

...

...

…...

It was a nostalgic feeling, a weird kind. The kind of nostalgia he didn't know it was possible to have, nostalgia for life.

But the air that entered his nose or the sound of blood rushing in his head, it was a nostalgia once in a lifetime.

"It's a success?" Li Yuheng said, opening his eyes.

The distinct after rain smells or the warmness of a blanket, he was familiar with them.

[Ding! Congratulations host! Welcome to the host's new world!]

He went to the balcony, standing under the morning sun, the warmth that hit his skin and the wind that blown away his hair, he let out a wide smile as there was no doubt, he was home.

It's best to thing this series as a new series rather than the old one. So expect the whole plot/characters to be different, but the core of the series itself still remain.

The series will now update like usual, 2-3 days depending on how busy i am. But this time i had outline all the important bits, so the story should be seamlessly more readable.

Sorry for taking this long!
