One of the original Gamer's best aspects was his ability to create skills by doing specific actions, which gave him many of his more known skills such as his production skill.
That skill made him invaluable for The Abyss, and in being so he got a shit ton of benefits in different forms.
I have more or less the same power, with the pros that I don't need to do that said skills required actions, and can create my own skills the way I see fit.
At the price of not being able to make every skill that could be gained through action. I don't consider it a con honestly because this way I just need to gain some knowledge about a specific field, do the activities related to it once or twice, and boom.
I have that mastery and just need to upgrade it, which I find completely acceptable.
But I wonder why it's different from the original?

Just as the word left her mouth I and Daichi shoot like we were being chased by dogs and attacked Cho.
I took care to go just three to five meters ahead of Daichi.
Cho was just observing us, but I could tell she was ready to strike at any given moment.
As I was getting close to Cho it seemed like something took her notice. and by focusing on it I found it to be a growing swarm of flies that were surrounding her. and right after I glowed with blue and white lights, feeling refreshed and empowered.
Seems like my new team has already started our plan.

Without further delay, I increased my speed to maximum and instantly arrived in front of the already distracted Cho, who was caught completely off guard by my sudden arrival.
I didn't miss the chance and throw my left fist precisely at her midriff.
Just when she went for my hand to block it probably, I changed my left hand's direction and took it back followed by punching her right in her temporal point.

Not paying attention to the notification right now, besides the confusion effect, I didn't miss the chance and immediately followed my combo with a spinning left kick to her side, which she barely defend with her hand, still confused.
The attack shot her right at Daichi, His silver-green sword that seemed eerily similar to an elf sword already in hand, who looked surprised for less than a second and quickly followed my attack with one of his own.
"First skill: Wind wave"
He slashed out and used his first spirit ring, a yellow one, and sent Cho back right to me.
She seemed to snap out of it mid-air and used her kusarigama to propel and attached it to the ground stabilizing herself before using it to attack me.
"Fifth skill: Dark slash"
Her spirit was covered in darkness and came straight for my head.
Seems like she already took us seriously to go and use her fifth ring.
I dodged to the side and took the opportunity offered.
Taking the chain of her kusarigama I pulled with all my strength and spun, giving my move an extra Oomph.
Tool Spirit masters like her are usually weaker than the beast spirit master of the same rank unless they are Tang San.
And taking into consideration that she was mid-air, my move took her slamming to the ground.
*BOOM*
Her impact made a big crater, but she was already up like it wasn't anything.

But unfortunately this time around she wasn't confused so she spun around, took his wrist in hand, and slammed him to the ground.
She didn't do it at full strength so there was no crater or something.
Just as I started moving she used another skill.
"Sixth skill: Phantasm"
Her body immediately began to dissolve into dark green particles afterward and she disappeared completely.
Less than it took for me to blink she was behind me, her weapon ready to cut my throat.
But it's not like I'm going to lose that easily.
"First Gate: Gate Of Opening"
I opened the first gate of the eight, feeling the changes.

So how was it?
Let's go for some clarification.
First about the fight
If you're a fan of Doulou then you know every rank before Super Douluo is pretty much shit.
No really, one rank 95 Titled Doulou is enough to fuck 10 ranks 94, and 10 ranks 89/90 (without the 9th ring) for an average Doulou.
The only thing that makes any spirit master under 91 scary is how much diverse their spirit ring skills can be, as seen here.
If Kotaro hadn't used Eight Gates, then Cho's sixth skill could have easily killed him.
Second, about some concerns, you might have about other Gamers
There will be no such thing as other people with Gamer power in this fanfiction.
The best explanation is, that they live in another multiverse altogether. meaning Kotaro will not have any fight, or direct interaction for that matter, with the rest of the members.
Unlike Dark wolf shiro's Gamers Guild that "Employees" people, the Gamers association is more like a trading universal hub where you can buy, sell, and hire anyone or anything.
