They reached the reception area in front of the director office aka the administrator as they usually call Neil Thomson.

Both of them were tense. Evelyn knew why both of them were being called but Aaron had no idea. His mind was filled with different scenarios. As if sensing his turmoil Evelyn asked him to cool down and it was nothing to be worried of as they reached the door

He nodded and took a deep breath and knocked the door

"Come in" they heard, as they went into the office they were surprised by the interior.

One side of the wall was made up of glass that reached the ceiling showing the view of the river and the city beyond it along with the blue sky. The view was breathtaking. The ceiling was covered in white with black frames with artificial lights along the frame. The inside of black was painted in the night sky.

The room was welcomed with black sofas around a table, a zone for meeting in the middle. At the left end of the room was a massive desk on one side stacks of papers and files kept while the other middle part had the 24 inch computer, a private zone. A shelf up to ceiling covered the side walls, packed in books and files. A small space for the printer was provided at the end of the table. The room was on a open plan, all the zones connecting each other but at the same time its separated

The facing wall of the desk had a huge painting of the celestial system. A breathtaking painting.

Aaron and Evelyn were awestruck by the painting. They couldn't take their eyes off them.

As they looked around they saw the director along with the other department heads including James.

It looked like they were having an important meeting in the meeting area as the room was quite tense. Seeing the director and others they exchanged greetings with them.

"Take a seat" he said pointing to the couch. They both took seats joining them. The room was quite chilled. But they didn't know whether it was from the room temperature or their nervousness.

"What do you want to drink?" Neil asked with a small smile.

Neil had a charming personality. Even Though he was in his mid thirties, he had a charisma and a thrive for the world.

"No, we just had our lunch," Evelyn said.

To which he just nodded.

"Do you know why you are called today?" He asked

Ron looked at Evelyn but Evelyn was staring at James to know what Neil was asking was about the one they had discussed.

James nodded as sensing her.

"I have a glimpse about it" eve said, Neil nodded

"Yeah… you both are being to know about it" he said

"You both are being assigned to a mission. A secret mission. Only a few of them knew about it. All you have to do is go there and study about everything. Like how they live, what they eat, drink, what their lifestyle is, their dress code, family styles,... like those things. Also you should study about their cities, their systems, how they function, like that everything. And you can choose who you want your team member to"

"Evelyn and Aaron you both are assigned to do the mission" he continued.

They both had their full attention on him.

"So which country are we going to? Is it like a tribal community?" Aaron asked, sounding doubtful, he couldn't understand why they have to study about a community, it was not a field that they are working in.

Neil chuckled.

"It's not a country or tribal community Aaron" he said

What are…." Before Ron would continue Neil interrupted

"It's another world….." Neil said, calmly

"A parallel world or a universe"
