24: General Families

Marigold grimaced a bit as she saw one of the three from the roof fall on a chair with thier stomach.

Another's head went straight into the tight space between a table and chair and the last one hit his knee.

"Did you have to do that? You could have just provided some sort of cushion." She turned to Asher.

"Ah, I forgot." Asher smiled innocently as he glanced at three main characters from his novel.

'Mia Silver, Noah Silver's sister although they have different fathers. Noah's mother is an elf. Mia's father is an angel.

Flynn Von Anderson, the third prince of our beloved Tersia kingdom and Mikey, his commoner friend.' Asher thought to himself.

Mia had the same silver hair as Noah although her eyes were a clear blue and he face was round and bubbly giving her a babyish look.

Flyyn had a long blonde hair with striking red eyes which were rare for an elf although it was a special trait for the royal family and Mikey had green hair and sharp yellow eyes.

"Ack. H-help." Flynn had fallen with his stomach on a chair but he was able to hold it in.

"What were you planning to get by by eavesdropping anyways?" Asher asked with a deadpan look.

"Please fowiv meee!" Mia started to cry. "Ish wash Noaaaah! Waaaa!"

Asher's look didn't change but inside his thoughts were a mess.

'Noah, huh?'

"Next, you." Asher turned to Flynn.

"Father said I should keep an eye on you. Please don't kill me!" Flynn shouted.

"I only followed him…" Mickey said, looking at the tone of his voice, it was like he'd resigned himself to his fate.

"You three…"

"G–"

"What in the world?" Marigold could be seen blushing as she looked at Cashel who had finally finished taming his core.

His eyes were a darker shade of purple and there were tattoos all over his body which only made him more appealing to the opposite gender.

The aura surrounding him turned to that of a deadly warrior unlike Asher's which was quite gentle.

Another thing was that he had lost his elven ears and they had turned to that of a humans.

In front of him was a purple system screen.

"How did we end up like this?" Asher spoke with a deadpan look as everyone sipped on soda.

After the initial surprise, Cashel changed back to his usual form and Marigold's and Mia's faces cooled down.

'Heh, I'm more handsome.' Asher thought smugly.

The seven of them left the classroom and seeing that Asher had somehow forgotten about punishing them, Flynn suddenly got talkative and everyone went with the flow.

"So, have you seen the rankings?" Flynn asked with a friendly smile.

"The school rankings?" Luke asked.

"Yeah that, you probably will believe this, or not…" Flynn made a projection with his watch.

"Woah! I'm number 2." The usually quiet Mikey spoke but in all truth he was quite the talkative. He was only bidding his time and waiting for Asher to calm down but his rank made him a little surprised.

"I'm rank 3…" Flynn's voice was dark and heavy.

"...although I'm wondering how these two ladies got into the top ten. Are you guys really evil behind those cute faces?" Mikey asked.

"Oi, watch your mouth. Only Cashel can call me cute." Marigold's expression was dark and scary making Mikey shrink back a bit.

Mia was looking at the rankings again and she looked at her hands and she formed a fist.

'I'll definitely make this power powerful so I can help you brother, but… Why is that Cashel guy so freaking hot?!'

If anyone say the thoughts of the cute innocent Saint Mia, they would faint in shock.

Meanwhile the said Cashel had already crushed his soda can into a pea sized ball.

"How…"

His words came out dark and heavy.

"How did I get that pitifully low position?" He shouted at no one.

"W-well, you didn't accidentally clear out the person in rank 1 like Asher did in the… ~gulp~ simp 'eradication', the guy you took out was a second year and it didn't add anything to your rank so you were slowly pushed down… till here." Flynn said.

"I see, I see." Cashel smiled. "This sounds fun, I just have to beat every single person in the rankings and reach number one!"

"Well, yes." Asher sounded slightly uninterested.

"Asher! You'll be my last opponent!" Cashel stood up and started to walk away.

"Hey, where are you going?" Luke asked.

"I'll be starting from the last person." Cashel's smile was so sinister that even monsters would get chills down their spines just from seeing.

As Cashel left, there was an awkward silence among the group until Asher spoke.

"There's only one thing I'm concerned about though, who are these… Von Mights? Isn't just that our name with the W placed upside down?"

"You didn't know? Aren't you the son of two generals?" Luke asked with a raised eyebrow.

"He's probably a shut-in kid." Mikey chipped in.

"And why don't you just shut up." Flyyn shot back, he was still feeling a little sour about the rankings.

"Continue, who are they?" Asher spoke to Luke.

"Along with your father and mother, there are three other General families. The Von Wight family which you are a part of, the Von Might family, the Von Night family and the Von Augustus family.

There were originally four generals but your mother became one through her sheer number of achievements and strength but she never started her own family, she married your father." Luke said.

"I see. Thanks for the explanation. Anything else?" Asher asked.

"Hmm…"

"Well, except for the fact that the Von Wights are called the shield of the kingdom since they provide sturdy tanks and great armor, the Von Mights are called the vanguard, they're a family of martial artists.

The Von Nights are the assassins of the kingdom and the Von Augustus are the main damage dealers also known as the knights." Marigold answered in Luke's stead since he couldn't seem to get answer out of his head.

"Anyways, those talks aside, Asher and you all, vote for me to be the classrep!"
