17: A show of power

"Eva, you wouldn't mind if I killed this bastard right?"

"Of course, kill him." Eva didn't even hear her words. She hugged Asher even tighter, rubbing her scent on him to mark him as her own.

"Don't worry, I'm not running away. How about we get something to eat, working all day must have gotten you tired right?"

Asher had already carried Eva out princess style leaving a speechless Noah behind.

'Eva had a boyfriend? She never talked about things like that and always avoided those questions. Damn it, of all people it was that four ears! A first year! I was gonna confess today!'

Meanwhile, Lara's fingers hit her watch's screen relentlessly, battering the poor thing like a gatling gun.

In a few seconds, news had spread around the whole academy and the couple hadn't even reached the last floor.

After a few minutes, many variations of it had come out and there was one article that read;

In various areas of the school, armies were awakening. The legendary army which would do anything for the queen had awakened.

"I'll have ice cream and cake. What of you?"

"Same, but I want the strawberry flavour."

Asher and Eva walked out of a convenience store licking ice cream. Asher glanced at Eva, Eva glanced at Asher. Their eyes met, they blushed, they looked away. T_T

They reached a tent on the large campus and they sat.

"I received a letter from aunty Emilia. Did you really..." Eva started.

"Yeah I did. We did. It happened in public so the king is currently on our tail. Don't worry about it! Instead let's talk about you, how've you been?"

"It's been okay except for the fact that boys have been chasing after me and Emira. I became the student council president and people really haven't been after my neck for my rank. What about you?"

Eva regretted her words immediately and she shrank back a little as she looked at Asher's eyes.

They were an intense dark purple with a flash of red going through them. Eva had only seen those eyes once and when it happened, heads rolled.

"Oh~ Tell me more about these boys chasing after you."

~Gulp~

"I–"

"I found them!"

"They're under a tent!"

Eve was rudely interrupted by some angry voices and when she turned, her expression soured.

At least a hundred boys and some girls were running straight up to the tent.

"Hey get out of there if you're a man!"

"Fight!"

"I can see the queen! She's so beautiful!"

"Marry me!"

The entire tent was surrounded by livid second years and third years and some curious first years that decided to join the fun.

"I see... They're the ones.... It's like fate is handing them to me on a silver platter."

Asher dropped his ice cream and the poor cake landed on the grass. A shadow from his hair was covering his eyes as he slowly walked out.

"I didn't want to kill anyone in this school. I'd only beat them up to near death so they wouldn't come back to me but... You fools have crossed a line."

A scythe as tall as himself appeared in his hands and he stepped out.

"That's him!"

"The blessed spirits of lightning! Faster than an eagle! Heavier then water! [Lightning Strike]"

Out of nowhere, a very thick lightning strike struck down at Asher faster than the normal eye could see.

Asher gripped his scythe and held up the scythe, bending backwards like he was about to strike forward.

A cruel smile spread on his face.

"What would happen if I used 100 essence on my scythe. That would be interesting. Kukuku~"

...and he did exactly that.

In the first second, Asher's scythe and the lighting met each other midair and the scythe passed through without any resistance and the lighting was obliterated.

In the second second, Asher's scythe was still going down to the ground and a purple slash flew out of it into the large crowd.

In the third second, the space in front of Asher seemed to be 'torn' by a sharp object and Asher could see the eternal darkness.

Everyone single person in the direct trajectory of tbe flying slash had been obliterated from existence, not leaving a proper corpse.

The scythe too had suffered the same fate as it was never made to endure that amount of energy. Plus the fact that the Magic Fox Bloodline enhanced his mana and magic prowess.

The survivors at the other side of the tent were speechless and stunnofor several seconds after a few seconds, they started to run.

Who was this first year?

No! He definitely wasn't a first year!

The principal in disguise? But even the principal couldn't tear space with a single slash!

Hearts were beating relentlessly against the ribcages of many students and many of them skipped beats the moment the first year appeared in front of them.

"Excuse me, where are you going. My dear seniors?" Asher smiled and his voice turned deeper and darker.

"Playtime isn't over."

He placed his hand on his chin and seemed to be in thought while everyone in front of him had frozen.

"Let's try this spell. I've been wanting to try it ever since last year. What should I call it? Hmm? I just stay with this for now."

[Push]

An heavy force hit the fifty students there pushing them away from Asher but before they could get used to it,

[Pull]

They were being dragged back to him and they could see a black hole right at the center of his palm.

"Haha! Space is really an interesting element! Let's add time into the mix."

[Fastfoward] + [Retain] = [Wither]

[Fastfoward] would make their bodies grow older while [Retain] would help to keep their bodies in place to not make them teleport to the future.

"Let's wrap this up. Eva is waiting for me."
