13: The strange woman calling herself my mother

"I welcome Asher Ecrizich, heir to the Ecrizich clan and holder of the @$$+;"!# edict."

"Uh? Uh?!" Asher's body began to fall at a high speed and he hit the 'ground'. The fog started to clear and he saw the wooden floor of the large dojo like room and it was large. Very large.

He notices the huge baggy golden robes on his body and his white hair was longer than it had ever been, flowing down to the floor. He found himself sitting in the seiza japanese position and a low table was in front of him.

Suddenly, a woman appeared beside him. She wore a black maid uniform that made her skin colour stick out like a sore thumb. She was as pale– no, paler than snow and her pupils were blood red.

"Tea or Coffee? Young master~" Her fangs showed a little as she spoke and she gave a little smile.

"I'd like... green tea if you have that..." Asher answered unconsciously but he quickly realized himself.

"Wait! Hold up! Who are you and where am I?!" He stood up and jumped back immediately, taking a martial arts position from earth.

"Fufufu~ How cute. If I slipped under you and gave a high kick, your head would be blown off immediately."

Asher's eyes twitched. Back on earth, that wasn't a flaw in the technique. If someone attempted a kick from below, they would come in contact with the hands before the leg could reach the head and would lose momentum giving enough time to dodge but... in a world of magic, all these were useless. Earth's martial arts were useless.

"Again, I'll ask. Who are you? Where is this place and why am I here?"

"Slow down~ One at a time." She laughed and she began to pour tea from a jug that had appeared out of thin air.

"I–"

"HILDA! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" A female voice echoed in the large room.

"Fufufu, seems my time here is up. See you later, Young master~"

She disappeared immediately and another woman took her place. A beautiful white haired woman with etheral purple eyes although her expression was contrasting against her beauty.

"Tsk. I only have a minute left." She spoke. She turned around to Asher who was still in his martial arts stance.

Her face softened and she looked at Asher with a loving smile. In the next moment, he was in her embrace.

"Let me go! Who are you?! What is this place!" Asher wiggled about like a cat trying to get out of a hug it didn't want.

"I can only answer your first question. You'll know the rest later when you cultivate your soul edict. I am Freya Ecrizich, current leader of the Ecrizich clan and your mother."

"Uh? Stop messing with me! Mother isn't this... gentle." Asher wiggled again but it was no use.

"Our time here is almost up so I'll leave you with two important things for now. Tame your core and protect your brother. I'll be watching you... always~"

The whole place disappeared and Asher woke up abruptly from his sleep and he was breathing heavily. He didn't have enough time to catch his breath before a system screen appeared before him.

[Evolution Completed!]

'Evolution?' Asher got off the bed and walked into the bathroom and when he looked into the large mirror, he instantly understood what the system meant by evolution.

His previously short white hair had grown to reach his b.u.t.t and it started to show a faint shade of purple in it.

His body was jacked. All his muscles were showing through the clothes and he had a stunning eight packs! His fey ears on his head had turned black on the outside and his light purple eyes glowed with an air of gentility.

He had a perfect jawline and all the blemishes on his skin were gone. The ears that showed proof of his half-elven lineage had gotten an inch longer.

He could feel more in-tune with the elements around him and he could zoom in his vision to see even the micro-organisms moving about!

As he continued to observe the changes in the system. Asher only had one thought in mind.

"Is this me?"

After a few minutes, he decided to take a shower. It was the only thing that helped to calm his weary nerves at times.

2 hours later, he got out and headed outside to see everyone and soon he could hear something.

It was a voice.

"Hey, Maya, did you hear?"

"Hear what?"

"Lord Bariel was attacked by those half-bloods and they beat him up till he was blind!"

"For real?!"

"Yes! I saw it myself from a window."

"Oh? Can you tell me more about this story~"

The two maids gossiping turned around abruptly and they saw a very handsome teenager standing right behind them with a scheming smile on his face.

His usually light purple eyes were an intense dark purple, a sign that he was angry.

"We are very sorry young master!" The two maid said at the same time as they bowed.

"You're sorry about what? I only asked you to complete the interesting story you were talking about just now. You have no problems with that, right?"

Everyone was sitting in a large living room with serious expressions strewn on their faces. Cashel had the same look as Asher after evolving with the only difference being that his eyes were an intense dark purple and they changed to a light purple according to his emotions.

"The last eight days have been quite... hectic..." Emilia started the family meeting. She massaged her temples with a weary expression and slowly, she fell into the trap of her own thoughts and began to mutter at a high speed and the tone of her voice kept increasing all the way to shouting.

"It all started with your awakenings... No! Asher got this strange system thing and he and Eva killed some guys in the city. Cashel and Emira wrecked the said place and beat up an innocent guard trying to stop them.

The two of them awakened this strange new energy that flips all the laws I know on their faces and now the king is keeping an eye on them!

This new energy is so powerful that one 'measly' fireball spell can completely blind a two white core mage!

Now that I think about it, How in the world did you restore our sight!?"
