Chapter 4: New Abilities!

Somewhere in the sea...

"Ok! These are called devil fruits which can give power of different types. Once you consume it, you'll become a dry duck. So, think carefully before you take it." Rain explained the two devil fruits kept on the front. He decided to give the girls the devil fruits to ensure further development in their strengths. Rain also wanted to give Nemu one too, but he refused immediately.

"No need to think about it, Captain. We've already decided to eat it if it'll make us stronger and help you...!" Both girls instantly agreed to eat the devil fruits. They've already decided to follow Rain till the end and they'd do anything to achieve it.

"Well then it's okay. First, Lacy, you eat this one. The model Angel fruit. And, Pascia will eat this model Sphinx fruit. But, I remind you again to take only one bite and it taste like shit. So, be prepared."

Rain warned seriously remembering the dangerous shitty taste while eating.

*Crunch! Gulp!

Just after taking one bite, the girls stood motionless for a while. Soon, their face became purple and immediately rushed to the washroom covering their mouths.

"Hehe! I told you... That's how it taste like. Feel the despair..." Rain smirked evilly. He really wanted to see those expressions to other people that he experienced before.

After a while, they finally came out with pale faces. Their tongues had become numb and won't feel like eating anything for a while.

"So!? How do your bodies feel?"

"It felt like I was going to die.."

"Not that you idiots! Did you feel any powers inside ?"

"Oh! Now that you say it, I really feel strange power moving inside my body..." Pascia replied slowly feeling the change in her body. Then she concentrated and her body immediately transformed into a lion-like body with a pair of wings.

"Wow! This is awesome! I turned into an animal!?"

Pascia felt excited and started running around the deck in her sphinx form. Her body felt very light, her senses had increase, she could also walk on the wall and fly around. After playing for a while, she came beside Rain and asked with a bright eyes, "Captain! Shall I ask you a riddle to~"

"STOPP!! Don't do that to the crews. Maybe you might devour them!" Rain immediately interrupted Pascia's word and explained to her about her unique powers that he learnt from the system.

"Pascia, your fruit ability is to transform into a Sphinx, a mythical creature. It will increase your strength, you can take flight, do camouflage but the most unique ability is to devour others.

You can ask various riddles to any person you want and can devour their life force if they answered wrongly. But you need a certain concentration to become successful in hypnotizing others to answer your riddles."

"Eh!? It's that strong? Ok I understand! I'll train hard to control my ability..." Pascia answered in a serious tone and tried to transformed back to normal again but failed.

"Captain!! I can't transform back!"

"Shut up! Just concentrate and you'll be back!"

After struggling for a while, she finally got familiar with the transformation.

After solving Pascia's problem, Rain then turned towards Lacy, "Ok Lacy! You're next..."

"U~Understood!" Lacy got a little nervous seeing Pascia's scene but still used her ability to transform.

A bright light eloped over Lacy's whole body and two angel wings spread out from her back and she looked instantly holy with a halo floating on her head.

"Ok! Lacy, you're so beautiful..." Rain unknowingly blurted out some honey words looking at the Angel Lacy. The angel fruit enhances the appearance of the consumers.

Hearing Rain's word, Lacy slightly blushed and became happy.

"R~Really? Thank you, Captain..."

"Hey! What about me? How do I look back there?" Pascia came forward and asked with hope.

Seeing her expression, how could Rain disappoint her and replied with a smile,

"Of course, you look quite cute too..."

"Hehe... Captain! Your mouth's really sweet..."

The crews laughed for a while and finally calmed down. Then, Rain started explaining about Lacy's ability,

"Lacy, your ability is to transform into an angel. In that form, you'll be able to use light powers and use it to different techniques like healing, flight, defence, offence and various other uses. You'll have to train to figure that out. Now, both of you understand what I just said...!?"

"Yes! Captain! We understand very clearly!"

"Ok, from now, you'll be training on using your ability with me. Now, let's head to kitchen, I'm hungry..."

Then, all four of them went inside to have their meal while sailing to their next destination.

The next day, Rain and his crew finally reached Baterilla, docked their ship at the port and headed towards the town. They all started roaming around the town on their own, shopping and collecting information.

Later, they all met at a restaurant and had their meal while discussing about the various information.

"So, what have you guys got?" Rain looked towards them and asked.

"Well, we heard that there are currently two notorious pirates in South Blue. A boy named Eustass Kid and a girl named Jewelry Bonney."

Lacy and Pascia told about the things they heard while shopping. This made Rain slightly glimsed.

"So I'm currently in the age of the worst generations, very interesting..." Rain murdered in a low voice and smirked.

"I heard that there's a swordsman of South Blue is here in this town. He seemed quite famous, you interested? Captain?" Nemu asked Rain while picking up the food and eating it.

"Hm... I'm a little interested. Let's go find him, maybe we need a swordsman on our crew." Rain was thinking of finding a swordsman so decided to go and check him.

So, after they finished their meal, they started searching for the said swordsman. They searched throughout the town and finally saw a man with a sword sleeping on a roof.

"Is that him? He looks quite young though he's bald." Rain exclaimed seeing the bald man at the roof. He really looked like Saitama's copy, just that he was a one style swordsman.

"Well that's him that the people around are talking." Nemu assured Rain about the appearance of the swordsman who was really bald.

Rain instantly jumped up and landed on the roof. When he was about to touch the bald head, he instantly woke up and wave his sword towards Rain.

*Keng!

A metal collision sound echoed and the bald man was shocked that his blade was stopped by the bare black hand?

"How can you stop my blade with bare hand? And what is that black matter? " The bald man asked while looking at Rain's right hand.

"It's nothing! Just some techniques called 'haki' that I learnt." Rain said calmly which made the bald man suddenly retreated some distance.

"Haki? Who are you? What do you want with me?"

"Don't worry, I just came here to find a swordsman for my ship. So, what do you say? Want to join me?" Rain directly asked which made the bald man slightly glimpsed.

"Ok then please take care of me~ Like hell I would say that! You think you can do whatever you like!? Get lost before I get mad!" The bald man shouted as he was annoyed with Rain.

"Then let's make a bet~"

"You didn't hear what I just said...!!" The bald man shouted with veins popping out his forehead.

"What? So you were scared to bet with me? Just tell me earlier..." Rain made his trap using a smug face(–3–) and teased him.

"W~Who's scared!? Bring it on...!!" The bald man instantly fell for it...

"Then, if you can land a hit on me before sunset, you win! But if you lose, you'll join my crew. How's that?"

"Heh...! You're pretty confident on yourself, aren't you? Seems like I need to crush that confidence of yours. Don't regret it later..." The bald man slightly smirked. He was pretty confident in his sword skills and directly attacked Rain.

*Swosh!

"That won't work! It's still too slow... Hehe!" Rain easily dodged the attack and mocked him. He wanted to see the strength limit of the bald man.

"Damn! I've just started...! One Sword Style~ 'Blooming Sakura!'..."

Somewhere on the street, a crowd was gathering looking at the performance of a human-like crow singing with a violin.

*Boom!

Suddenly a loud sound came from the side and saw two figures fighting around the street. All the peoples around started fleeing from the place completely deserting the spot.

But the crow remained standing on the spot looking at the fighting two with bright eyes.

"T~This is a rare scene. Two peoples fighting with joy on their faces. This is it...!" The crow shouted with joy and rushed towards the fighting area. He was a madman who loved to see people fighting and...

"It's time for some music...!"

#Fact:

1)The Human Human Fruit, Model: Angel...

Allows the user to transform into an angel and harness the power of holy light. It could be similar to Kizaru's light devil fruit powers but have special properties to it that the logia counterpart doesn't have such as healing, flight, etc.

2)The Lion Lion Fruit, Model: Sphinx...

Allows the user to transform into a sphinx and be able to ask riddles to people. If the person answers incorrectly to the riddle, they are devoured whole. This is similar to Big Mom's devil fruit in which there are requirements to harvest someone's lifespan. It has other abilities like camouflage, air walking, etc.
