17 A Guide to Mana

Zeras slowly closed the book as he took a deep breath in. He almost couldn't believe the information he was given now.

Sure, he knew about Genes and the EIA, but the Earth being transferred from one Galaxy to this Galaxy was something he wasn't aware of.

At least, he now understood the truth behind the EIA, and the thought of meeting with alien groups filled his mind with anticipation. But from the information given about them, joining the EIA won't be an easy task.

Not that he was scared because of that, on the contrary, he was happy. With the EIA being the number one group when it comes to powerful Gene awakeners, it was the best choice for him to grow stronger. Joining the EIA, irrespective of the risk encountered was worth it.

Zeras dropped the book on the table as he picked the other one up. Looking at the cover, it was titled:

A GUIDE TO MANA.

Taking a deep breath in, his body relaxed on the comfy chair as he delved into the content.

-When our planet, Earth, was transported by this new galaxy, which was named the Limitless Galaxy.

A New type of energy invaded Earth from the Galaxy. This energy was called Mana.

Mana's entry into the world caused Mutations in every being present within.

The clearest effect happened to the beasts which were forcefully mutated by Mana, improving their strength to an unbelievable level.

Some possessed skins harder than diamonds and some with claws that could cut through steel.

The beasts grew incredibly powerful but the effects on humans were different.

Humans noticed their ability to use different strange powers and it was later noticed of a strange appearance of new genes in the Human DNA.

Different genes were discovered, but some genes were more powerful than others causing the genes to be divided into different grades.

While one can easily use this ability obtained from the genes, they can't be used for long due to quick exhaustion. That was when they noticed a mysterious object found just below their navel. It was a simple ball-shaped object.

It was later named Mana Core. After years of experiments, the mysteries of it were finally solved.

The Mana has the greatest effect on humans. With the awakening of genes, an object was needed that could ensure the genes being used for a longer period and the Mana core solved this issue.

The Mana core was an object that could be used to store mana and therefore enabled the continuous use of genetic abilities without exhaustion.

With years of experiments, the use was finally found out and the first Cultivation stages were set up.

The Early cultivation stages involved the sensing of Mana, which was the first requirement to being able to absorb Mana into the core.

Only at 16 years of age, can the Mana core be perfectly developed and now ready to store mana.

The stages of cultivation include four stages which are currently known:

The first stage is the Star rank.

The second stage is the Meteor rank.

The third stage is the Cosmic Rank.

The fourth stage Is the Galaxy Rank.

Each is divided into Early, Middle, Late, and Peak stages.

Every breakthrough to a stage leads to an automatic awakening of a new genetic ability and an increase in all physical attributes such as speed, reaction speed, and agility for every minor breakthrough.

An awakener at a particular stage can defeat another awakener at the same stage only through the grade of their genetic ability, and that is when the grade of genes comes in.

The genes are graded based on their power with the Lowest being the F-grade while the highest is the A grade.

The Nine families were able to become the most powerful families on Earth due to their Powerful A-grade Genes which can be inherited by their offspring- Zera's eyes immediately narrowed to points as he finally understood why the Celestria family he came from was part of the Nine families.

It was because their gene, Lightning Hammer Gene was an A-grade Gene. And the genes are also inheritable.

Then just how powerful is the Chaos Devouring gene which was an SSS-grade?

It seemed he was extremely far away from unlocking the absolute limit of the Gene.

Zeras read all the process of sensing Mana and absorbing it Into one's core as he slowly closed the book and sat down cross-legged on the floor.

It was time to sense Mana and absorb it into his core. It was time to break through to the star-rank stage and become awakened.

Zeras's heart pumped inside him in anticipation as he thought of what genetic ability he would awaken once he stepped into the Star-rank stage.
