1 Being Human

Chapter 1

It was the last day of summer in the month of May in the small town called Ternate, Cavite. The air is humid but the heat wave can be felt throughout all the place.

In a dilapidated house a heart breaking sob can be heard as a woman who looks like in her 30's lay on the bed next to a child.

The child on the bed seems to have stopped breathing for a while now as her cute lips started to turn purple. As the mother watches the lifeless body of her new born child, her heart felt aggrieved and pained. Her eyes keep pouring tears that won't stop.

"What should I do? Hu hu hu... I only have you my baby! But now... Hu hu hu"

She sobbed as she slowly caresses the child's tiny little hands. In her eyes love and affection of a mother can be seen.

Though she is grieving within her heart, still a tinge of hope seems to invade her consciousness as if telling her not to let go.

Then all of a sudden from outside the room.

"There are things that cannot be changed... Just accept it Luisa. The child is gone."

A melodious voice suddenly interrupted the sobbing mother's thought.

A very beautiful woman, wearing a white sleeveless dress that follows through the sexy curves of her body, stood there on the door of the small house. With a disgusted expression she walks towards the bedroom.

'This place is not fit for humans to live. Ewww...' she said to herself.

"Is this the life you wanted Luisa? Huh?"

The woman ask in contempt as she ridiculed the woman on the bed, who upon hearing her words slowly lifts her head and face her.

"Why are you here Margo?"

Luisa's eyes changed immediately from being in grief to burning with anger as she asked.

"It was you... wasn't it?"

"Why...Why? Why are you so cruel to me? Hu hu hu"

In her heart the family that she thought to love her was the one who caused her this many grievances.

Luisa is the youngest daughter of Robert Monte, the owner and chairman of L.R. pharmaceuticals. She grew up like a princess along with her older sister Margo.

They grew up without a mother, as Robert their father is an obsessive and abusive guy. She left them when they were still young and was never heard of from then on.

As time went by Luisa grew up to be very beautiful and intelligent, and because of that, a rich young 2nd generation name Luis Cardell got his eyes on her when she was in college. He did all he could do just to have her.

Even Luisa's father, Robert seemed to favor the young master. Which gave Luisa the first wake-up call in her life.

She knew her father was after the status of being a father-in-law figure of Luis Cardell.

The Cardells are known as one of the rich and powerful families in the country.

At this time she met Fredd, a simple ordinary salary man, at a convenience store.

As she was running with torn upper dress and disheveled hair as Luis tried raped her when he was sending her home in his car.

This was the last straw, and she decided to run away.

Fredd acted immediately and helped her hide from the evil guy.

She stayed with Fredd who helped her unconditionally, and their love started to blossom after some time and got married secretly. Everything should have been uphill from there, but her family still found out.

Fredd was forced to resign from his job, and even though he have good qualification it seems having a normal daytime job becomes a problem.

Both of them knew what her family is trying to do, but still they didn't gave up. Then she got pregnant, their first child. Though life is hard for them but they hold on to their love, and the growing fruit of it in her belly.

But one day... nine months later, her family discovered the child in her belly, but since it was a girl they didn't made a move.

But unluckily Luis Cardell got a whiff of this news and was seething in anger.

Though he didn't know where they are, but with his resources it didn't take him a long time to find out.

Then fate play its tricks again.

An accident happened in the mining area where Fredd is temporarily working, it was a huge explosion. Because he saved his friend and colleague his life was offered in exchanged.

This almost made Luisa mad with grief and pain for her only love and support now lays in front of her in a cold coffin.

This was too much for her, and for days she lay devoid of life with tears overflowing besides his coffin. Her once beautiful face now pale and lifeless.

She could have persevere, with the help of their neighborhood she buried her husband, but then a raging bull of a man charged in the small house and rampage all over, the next day.

This is Luis, who for a long time searched for her, then upon seeing her bulging stomach made him angrier as if feeling he was cuckolded by the woman he now loathes.

In his anger her lashes a slap on her face which threw her to the ground and cause her to bleed.

Upon seeing this Luis face show traces of panic. He rushed out of the house in fear of what the repercussion of his action may result.

Left on the ground feeling weak, she unsteadily crawled to the bed. Because of the loud noise their neighbor quickly came to help, and after a day she bore the baby.

But alas her child also left her, not long after it was born.

"Yes, It was all me."

Margo said with a wicked smile on her lips, making her akin to look like a devil.

"You want to know why? It's because I hated you from the day you were born. Hah, all the attention mom and dad gave you. All the people saying you're the most beautiful daughter this... the most intelligent that... I HATED you for that! You took it all away from me!"

After venting her frustrations at Luisa who just stayed silent with eyes on the ground. Margo stood straight, fixed her dress and smiled as if nothing happened.

"Well, you deserve this for angering me little sister. I hope to never see you again... Bye!"

After Margo left, silence pervades the tiny and now broken house. But every now and then sobs could be heard inside the room like a wailing ghost.

Amidst this drama, a miracle is happening.

A worm hole opened in space and a soul pulsating with power and energy was ejected from it. Like a bullet it flies through the air and straight to the ground. As it neared the ground it suddenly changed its direction as if having found something.

Then without stopping entered a small figure lying in a bed, covered with a blanket.

'Huh... Whe... Where am I? Ack... Why... Why can't I talk?'

Looking at the surroundings with curiosity a small figure starts to move.

'I...I can't even see anything? What...What's this?'

With a rustling noise the small figure moved sluggishly waving its hands and legs all over the place.

"Huh?"

Luisa was startled by the noise besides her.

She had a lifeless look in her face and was just looking at the floor while sitting on the bed.

When all of a sudden she felt some movementsbesides her. Then she slowly turns her head and was stupefied with her eyeswere wide open in disbelief.
