The First Contact

Jace finished up training at the end of another month of hard work meaning he had three months left. Jace however still did not know that the invasion would come a month early. This meant that Jace really had 2 months left.

Jace was going over what he had finished and what he still had to do on his list. Jace had been gaining xp steadily after the animals had started to mutate but was still a little xp off from leveling up since animals were still hard to find.

Jace had completed learning how to take care of his weapons and learning survival skills. Jace had also finished his safe house completely and moved his supplies in. As Jace did this he took proper precautions to keep them safe and out of harm.

Jace had also during this time tried his theory of working out might increase his stats. It turned out that working out would not raise his stats but seemed to make his stats stronger nonetheless. Jace's reasoning for this was that the stats were additions to his original abilities.

So if he increased his original abilities the stats would have a better effect because the starting level of his abilities was higher. Jace however was not able to reach the hospital this time but finally has the chance today.

As Jace was traveling to the hospital he was training more with passive mana collecting and was close to being completely able to do it. His only problem was when he started to move because he would lose a lot of his focus on the mana collecting.

As Jace walks into the hospital he smells the disinfected that he remembers. Jace then starts to walk towards the hallway to take him to the recovering patients. Jace hears a voice behind him and sighs "Hey, who are you and what are you doing here?"

"I'm Jace and I am going to visit a friend of mine in the hospital." "Do you have a pass?" She asks "No" Jace responds. "Well then I am going to ask you to leave" She says as she points to the waiting area. Jace, not wanting to get thrown out or worse, follows her direction and heads back to the waiting area.

"Please ask your friend to get you a pass next time" She says after walking away. Jace however performs the oldest trick in the book and when no one is looking just walks into the hallway again.

This time he was successful however he was not able to get any new diseases. 'They must keep it too clean, because there was nothing there for me to get'.

Jace heading out of the hospital and getting home goes back to practicing his mana again. 'I will be able to train more after the invasion while leveling up. Mana training however might be hard if I am not safe all the time'.

After another month of work Jace achieves his goal and is able to collect mana passively. 'I am able to collect mana doing everything through daily life but I probably am not good enough to do it during combat.

Which is my next goal along with getting stronger of course'. Like that another month passes with Jace training. This time Jace was able to achieve the level up.

This time however a few days before the end of the month everything goes wrong.

It was a normal day in school around 12:00 at lunch. As Jace sat down to eat and pulled out his phone he saw something that made his blood go cold. Everywhere he went online there was one main big story.

"This just in. Massive dark circles have appeared around the globe. The government is warning everyone to be careful. The government has called the military and stationed them in all the circles in the country. What? Now it is being observed that cracks have appeared on the circle."

Jace watches in horror as the circle breaks and turns from black to a bluish color. Jace then feels the entire building shake and a massive bang from outside as hundreds of holes appear on the earth.

'Crap, I was told that this wouldn't be till another month'. Jace then looks down at his phone to see that things are falling at a rapid pace out of the hole. Jace then calls his parents who are at work.

On another planet the black fog figure is observing his army walk through the gates to earth. "Why are the titans not mobilizing?" He asks the three horned demon that appeared behind him.

"You see sire, the planet had no mana until recently so if we send the titans we would destroy it." "I see" the figure responds "How is it on the other side right now?"

"It appears the natural population is using weapons against us while we wreak havoc." "How effective are these weapons? Are they worth researching?" the figure asks with excitement.

"They are worth nothing sire, they have no mana so they can't even hurt our lowest soldier." "I see. Well I will leave the invasion to you, inform me if anything happens." "Yes sire" the demon then walks away to which the figure mutters "All will be mine soon."
