1 The Beginning

"Ah yes hello travelers welcome" wheezed the old women "where are you from, I see earth...good, good." "Please take a seat" she motions to the benches in front of the stage. " Our story is about a child from earth who became a man known throughout the worlds and it starts on a sunny day on October 3 in the small town of Three rivers Michigan at 2:10 in the afternoon with the 14 year old Jace asleep at school.

Hey...Hey...Wake up… Jace wakes up! "Huh? Whats, whats going on" exclaimed Jace startled. "Dude you slept through math class" with a concerned look Matt asked "Is something wrong, you're not usually like this" "Yeah I have a splitting headache and feel like shit" said Jace tiredly.

"Well I'm going home, try taking medicine and a nap when you get home and you should feel better." They both walked outside school and got on their bikes "See you tomorrow, hope you feel better!" yells Matt as he bikes away "Yeah see you tomorrow!" yells Jace back but soon regrets it as he feels his head start to throb.

After Jace gets home biking 20 minutes out of town to his house, he puts his bike away and takes some advil. heading up to his room on the second floor, he lays down on his bed and instantly falls asleep just to find himself in complete darkness.

"Hello, is anyone there! Hello!" yelled Jace "Relax young one" boomed a deep voice "I will not hurt you" "Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh" screams Jace as he begins to run the other way.

Bam! Jace then slams into a wall that was hidden by the darkness of the room. He then gets up to inspect the wall that he hit but sees nothing.

He hears the voice say again "Relax young one, I will not hurt you" Jace then turns around to face the unknown entity "Then who... Who are you, and and what do you want from me" stutters Jace terrified.

" Ah yes, I forgot. I am the god of abnormalities and I have chosen you to be my successor."

"Wait, you mean to tell me gods are actually real!" yelled Jace stupefied.

"Yes, we are real and I am just one of many"

"Then does that mean those stories in religions are actually real?"asks Jace.

"Well some of them are, but some are just made up" replies the god of abnormalities.

"Wait" says Jace putting his hands up "Why did you bring me here?"

"I brought you here to be my successor."

"What do you mean?"

"Well Jace for that you need some backstory. In about 1 year from now the world will change and become a lot like what those online novels with dungeon portals invading monsters"

" But wouldn't a lot of people die then!?" ask a surprised Jace

"Yes" replied the god "But let me finish, and because of what would happen if this world is left unprotected the gods all decided to give some of their power to children that fit their ideals" the god continues.

"Being my successor means you fit my ideals and I am going to give you some of my power, which include curses, hexses, and disease.

I am also going to give you a companion for your journeys, an egg, that I found before I became a God. Anything else you want to ask?"

"If you are the 'god of Abnormalities' and you say you control diseases. Then why are there diseases in the world whose main purpose is to kill people?" questioned Jace.

"Well you don't understand yet, but everything needs them to survive and the only reason diseases kill people is because I was to naive and I didn't keep them under control. By the time I realized my mistake, it was too late. So I ask that you don't do what I did and only use what you can control" said the god dejectedly.

"Ok I understand,"Jace thinks for a moment "Will there be other people with powers like me?"

"There won't be anyone else with the 'power of abnormalities' but there will be others with the "power of gods"

"oh" Jace's head springs up "how do I.... " Boom! Bang! Bam!

Jace watches in shock as a giant crack appears on the darkness behind him.

"I am sorry young one, we are running out of time"

"Wait!!" screams Jace "How do I use my powers!"

"Don't worry I have that covered. Just remember that this is like the books you read" Said the "god of abnormalities'' tiredly. Boom! CRACK!

"Sorry young one but I must go. Stay safe and be careful, the world you know will change drastically"

BANG!! Jace bolts up from his bed covered in sweat.
