We Will Argue

"You are a vision to behold," Aminu whispered in my ear as my father me to him at the altar.

"And you look so handsome, I love your suit," I replied in a hushed tone. He looked very handsome, tall, and ruggedly handsome and his sleek black suit fit him so well.

Aminu opened his mouth to reply but quickly closed it when the officiating minister cleared his throat reminding us that he was standing right before us.

We both agreed to get married in Aminu's church as that is the church we would both be attending after we get married.

The minister preacher started to preach about the essence of marriage, admonishing Aminu and me to love each other at all times, and when it was time for us to read out our vows, Laurel who was standing behind me, passed me the note where I wrote mine. Before now I had asked Aminu to read out his vows to me but he refused, saying it's a surprise, we both should hear our vows to each other at the altar.
